Anyone who goes AFK in a match should get kicked out of the match with dishonor they should lose the Pip and the rest of the team should lose no pips and treat it as a d/c.

If your MMR is 1 then you should face only 1’s and stay in Amber. You should not be able to progress through divisions winning against people of such low MMR. You should have to beat people of higher MMR to advance divisions.
I would improve my MMR by winning matches, fair enough.
If you win vs other 1’s in that system, you are clearly better than your mmr range. Eventually you get to your skillcap mmr range and thats where your progression stops since you will get a 50% win/lose vs the other 2’s and not progress. Leagues would need minor tweaks to achieve that tho, one being remove tier safety nets. Division crossing should be safe tho.
But my point is, crossing divisions shouldnt be a requirement to get the wings. There should be appropiate achievements and a reason for pve players to continue to fight. With this higher mmr vs lower mmr system, they will eventually leave.
I agree with your post. I’m, personally, not interested in the wings. It has brought a lot of people that have no intention to learn how to play but to achieve the wings. The wings should be removed. I just want even fun matches like one I lost to 499-500, I think that was my best match ever.

I got matched with a guy like this yesterday 3 times in a row. I reported him the three times. I had to add him on my “friends” list and wait for him to get into a match.
After getting rid of him, I won 3 matched in a row.
The achievements require crossing divisions. I’l bet you a pretty stack of money that the first thing that would happen is players would get to Emerald, throw matches to be Ambers again. Cross into Emerald.. rinse and repeat.

Not necessarily. A system could be implemented by just giving the division crossing ONCE. That is, if I crossed from Amber to Emerald, I would only get 1 count. Once I get that I can’t get another one. So people could just bounce up and down as much as they want. It wouldn’t make any sense to throw matches for the sake of division crossing achieves.

Hi Furious, yea I know. They got an easy ride to the top, most of them probably thanks to getting carried by high mmr and a premade team and figure kitten that was easy these noobs just need to kitten and l2p and stop complaining. But yea regardless of what you may or may not think I don’t think that gives anyone the right to troll. I still wanna know whats appealing about the wings though, they look so weird to me.
Those wings ARE weird, I wouldn’t fight or stress for them ever, not to mention the cost.
In my case, it was the challenge to see where I could get solo queuing, not far, obviously, so I’m not playing much, I’m just playing my dailies, but those wings definitely aren’t worth it.
