Guild Wars 2

So I recently jumped back into the game with the new update and transferred to the server my buds had moved to with the knowledge that I would need to wait a week before receiving pips.
Unfortunately, it turns out that I now have to wait what is basically 2 weeks to start getting pips because I need to be on the server for the full match length. And because I transferred the morning after the reset, the rest of this match is basically voided towards my timer to become a “citizen” of the server.
Is there a reason behind this? I don’t see why it can’t be a flat 7 days, especially considering the 140+ minimum gold investment for each transfer.

Thank god DR have people like Demon, Darkstar, and Barricka to carry their rep.
