Guild Wars 2

I’ve already done everything listed here:

After I run the setup app, I try to open the client. The dock icon starts to open and then immediately disappears. The following error message appears in the Console:

com.apple.launchd.peruser.501: (com.transgaming.guildwars2.292368) Exited with code: 1

I found an ArenaNet.log file buried inside the Guild Wars app. After running the app the following error occurred:

App: gw2.exe
Fatal error (2): Exception
When: 3/14/2015 20:57:12
File: ..\..\..\Core\Platform\Windows\Exe\Error\ExeError.cpp(409)

It seems I’m not the only one with this problem. I found two other references to it in the forums:

… but neither post includes a solution.

My computer is well above the minimum system requirements.

I suspect this is an issue with cider and/or wine. Any ideas?
