The main (80% or greater) cause of glory gain in a PvP environment should be winning. Currently in SPvP it’s about 10%. This is rediculous. Imagine if this same system was in PvE. You go into a dungeon, but you only get loot if you have the highest DPS or can round up the most mobs, but not for actually defeating the boss.
I mostly agree with you on your main point, 80% is a bit much but it does need to be higher then it is.
But implying that dungeon bosses are rewarding is just wrong

Closed a number of exploits that inappropriately allowed access to keeps.
Orbs of power have been removed from WvW to address hacking and balance issues. They tended to strengthen teams already in the lead and were irresistible targets for hackers and cheaters, both of which could have an unfortunately large impact on any given WvW game. Orbs or some similar mechanic may return in the future, but only if we’re confident that they won’t create similar issues.”
Not anymore they don’t, also they really didn’t serve that purpose anyways, Guild probably wants something more for sPvP, which I am all for. Honestly the capture point games got old after a week of play and we could really use more types.
That’s a great idea actually, I like it! In fact that seems like something that should have been around from the start.
