Main Hand Mace could use some help after the Skull Crack Nerf.
They really do want it to be dodgeable, and im okay with it.
What about a damage increase or a faster Chain, a Cripple and a CD reduce on Pommel Bash or something like that?

So with the upcoming 10th Dec Patch and no real changes in the Minor Tactics, it looks like we are not getting any decend non-Revive Traits in this Line.
I just thought i might took the chance to bump the Thread a last time, and maybe (maaaybe), someone will see it and takes a look at it.
I really do think all the Reviver Traits are too situational and boring.
There could be so much good stuff related to Shouts/Banners.

My thoughts about Warrior Changes:

Unsuspecting Foe – Good Change. Either this, or reducing the extra Crit Chance by 25%. Both is fine with me.

Spiked Armor – Will still be a lackluster Trait. Its just not good enough compared to the other Options.

Tactics Minor Traits – All that Stuff revolving around Reviving is really, really situational. Something like Vigor on Shouts, Healing per Shout/Banner equipped and stuff like that would be much more interesting and helpful.

Earthshaker – I think the Damage Reduce is too much, as soon as Unsuspecting Foe is out of the Picture for Tanky DPS Builds, the Hammer will be fine.

Staggering Blow – Same here, the UF Nerf is enough for Hammer Warriors.

Skull Crack – Thats really bad news. The Mace Chain is slow, the Range of the Weapon is low, theres no Mobility at all, and the only thing that made it possible to get a Window of Opportunity to hit the Enemy, was the fast Mace Stun. If this goes through, it will hit the Mace hard.
If you really want to Nerf the Stun, id think it would be a good idea to make the Mace Chain faster and give the Mace Cripple on Pommel Bash, while reducing its Cooldown to 12 Sec.
The Stun was the Reason to take the Mace, with its effectiveness reduced so much, theres not much Reason left.

Heres another one:

15 Point Minor Trait:
Every Shout / Banner in a Utility Slot grants the Warrior additional 15% Endurance Regeneration.

Not quite as good as Vigor from Shout/Banners, but still decend for a Minor Trait, i guess.

Skills like Super Speed and traits like One With Air set movement speed to the cap. The difference between out-of-combat swiftness and the movement speed cap is very small and won’t be very noticeable.

You’ll mostly notice the effectiveness of these skills when you’re in-combat, as you will be considerably faster than someone with swiftness. It will also reduce the effectiveness of chilled and crippled while under the effects of Super Speed type movement buffs.

Things are clear, Josh.
Its just that the Change did more harm than good. The old 25% Speed was very useful, while the new one is very situational. It would have been nice to add the new Bonus, instead of taking away the old one.
The Change is quite Toxic for some Builds out there.

Personally, i dont like all of the Revive Tactics, i hope they change them.

How about a 25 Minor Tactics Trait that doesnt involve Healing?

Every Adrenaline Bar spend reduces Damage recieved by 3% for 6 Seconds to a Maximum of 9% Damage Reduce.

Pretty much the typical Damage Reduce seen on other Professions, but with a limited Time, cause its a Minor Trait.
Numbers are Placeholders as usual.

Whenever you use a Shout, you gain Vigor for 5 Seconds.
Whenever you use a Banner, you gain Vigor for 15 Seconds.

(Insert Name here):
10% Chance to reduce the CD of Shouts by 2 Seconds and the CD of Banners by 6 Seconds when hit.

Numbers are Placeholders to whatever might be balanced.

Elite Skill Rampage

Hey Guys!

I cant find a good use for this Skill, because it cuts you off of all your Utility and Healing.
Does anyone like this Skill and uses it a lot?
Any Suggestions in which Situations its used best?
Does it need a Buff?
Is it to Strong?
I, personally, would like a Heal at the End of the Transformation that puts my Health back up, so i dont find myself left with low Health after the Transformation.
Help me out!

Unfortunately, I must disagree. As people are already calling for Healing signets head on the chopping block, we don’t need more of a reason for a thorough nerfing. Anything but more healing.

Keep in Mind, Healing Signet is very strong, and the Reason behind People want to nerf it, is because it benefits offensive Warriors a lot.
I dont see anything wrong with nerfing Healing Signet (if the Devs think it is) and therefor increasing Healing where it belongs to, the defensive/support Warrior Builds.

I do like the Concept, so what if the amount of Healing would just be reduced to make it not OP?
Does any think the Concept is bad?
If the amount of Healing would be reduced, it could even stay as a Minor Trait.

Hey Guys!

Since the Tactics Minor Traits are quite lackluster, all revolving around Reviving, i figured we could bring all our Suggestions / Ideas together in one Thread.
Please dont start long Discussions about the Ideas (short Comments are welcome), to leave the Thread as clear as possible.
Heres my Idea:

25 Point Minor Trait:
Every Shout / Banner in a Utility Slot grants the Warrior X Healing per Second.

A small Amount, scaling with Healing Power, would benefit a Support Warrior personally and does fit quite nicely as a Tactics Minor Trait, i think.

Defensive Elite Skill / Shout?

Hi Guys!

Im still fairly new to the Game, but enjoying it quite much. I play defensive, and i wonder if there is any good Elite Skill for that kind of play.
Here is what i think of them:

Signet of Rage: The passive Effect is almost not noticeable. 1 Adrenaline per 3 Seconds does seem really weak. The active Effect is nice, even though Boons can be stolen/removed quite easily, i wouldnt complain about the active Effect.
I do think the passive Effect could need a buff/change, though. Doesnt feel very Elite to me.

Rampage: The Skills when transformed are quite nice, but you lose all your Abilities/Healing while in that Form. Thats something i really dont like.
I think it would be a lot more useful if it would heal you after the Transformation ends, making it a possible choice for defensive play.

Battle Standard: Basically a immobile Version of Signet of Rages active Ability that benefits the whole Group. Cant complain about that, but its also a more offensive Ability.

So for me, it seems like there is no real defensive Elite Skill for Warriors. Rampage could be, with a little change, but i doubt something like this will happen.

Is there anything planed to change that?
Some kind of defensive Shout / Ability?
Could do some Healing, recharging the Cooldown of the other Shouts, applying some defensive Boosts like Protection, Regeneration, Vigor or Conditions like Weakness, Chilled.

Do i miss something? Can you help me / tell me which Elite Skills can be used defensive?

I wonder, what if you change “Juggernauts Defiance” to something like:
Increased healing and revive speed for 10 Seconds after you spend your Adrenaline, based on how much Adrenaline you have spend.

Now to get on topic, I agree. Healing signet ain’t OP, think about it, 8k health/20s. Plenty of other heals do that amount.

Actually almost no heals do that amount.

Shh…you’ll upset the FotM players on the warrior right now.

Regen will be nerfed on the war in the form of traits and Healing Signet. His regen is the only thing on him that’s truly OP. Healing Signet did not need the buff it got…but it got it because Anet has a bunch of terribads making builds like RoyC…ugh…

MS/SM? Really man? Him and a necro getting destroyed by a bunker banner war in a solo queue was delicious. Hard facts hit you in the face bro. Wars have too much regen.

I beg to differ. In my opinion, only offensive Warriors have too much regen.
The Base Value of both Heals is just too good, while the scaling with Healing Power is very bad.

I think Healing Signet AND Adrenal Health both need a Change.
Reduce the Base Healing Value, but increase the Healing Stat Scaling.

Adrenal Health atm:
360 Base + (0.15) Healing Power.
Change that to:
280 Base + (0.30) Healing Power.

Healing Signet atm:
392 Base + (0.05) Healing Power.
Change that to:
350 Base + (0.15) Healing Power.

Slight nerf for offensive Warriors, while also buffing defensive Warriors and making Healing Power a more valuable Stat.

Changes i would like to see:

Increased Healing Stat Scaling for Adrenal Health and Healing Signet.
(Maybe combined with a Base Decrease. Making it better for Healing Warriors than now, and a bit less effective for offensive Warriors.)

Traits in the Tactics Line to be more of general Purpose / Usefullness.
(Dont think the Design to be only useful for Revives is a good one.)

New Elite Skill. A defensive Shout or something along that line.

Hammer: Cast Time reduce for Backbreaker (and maybe Fierce Blow) and Hammer Skills shouldnt be telegraphed so obviously.

Yup, 2 of those have a delay before their effect is realised ( Shield of Wrath – 2.5, Zealot’s Fire – 2.25 ): So you precast the shield, wait a second, cast Ray of Judgement – 0.5 and Zealot’s Fire at range, teleport (JI) in close and use Protector’s Strike – 1.4. Timed correctly you can do 18k of damage in less than a second ( and higher in a full glass cannon build in WvW ).

With some boon duration and Writ of Persistence, if you swap weapons on cooldown and drop a symbol at least once per rotation you should be able to keep both up indefinitely.

AH works with each individual application of a boon. For example, Empower would proc it 12 times, times the number of people affected.

If i have two Boons on myself, does AH tick twice per Second?
If it ticks once for every Boon, that would mean, if i have Rengeration and Protection up, it ticks for each of them? 70 HPS + 70 HPS = 140 HPS.
Is that correct?

yes that’s right but we are still able to get permasymbol with hammer 1# spam (or something like perma)

1)people have attacks quicker then 1 per second only if their coefficient are lower than 1.0 (which is the one i’m considering) and if you are always in front of them waiting for their attacks
2) critical hits are less effective than you think; 1 crit with low crit damage is less than 2x damage which mean that from 300… they would deal 600 damage (100 less under hp/sec) and if their focused on crit damage (berserker builds) their damage multiplier will be really reduced simply because 300 * 2.5 (supposing a 100% crit damage build) = 750… which means that is still under our hp/sec (i was not considering dodge roll in the 716 hp/sec) and, really important, it’s a full zerker buid… so while you still get 0 damage from, you are able to kill him … fastly and easily

1) So you are saying that there are no attacks with a coefficient higher then 1 and quicker then 1 second? Because if you are, then you are incorrect. Guardians themselves have attacks that can fire off in less then a second and some of them have coefficients of 2.5, 2.25, and 1.4. Matter in fact all three of them combined is about a second.

2) I don’t understand what you are trying to say here? Here are the stats of my roaming build. Can you show me how I’m doing zero damage to you? 2170 power, 48% crit chance, 90% crit damage. I run sword/focus, greatsword. And for the sake to show I’m not a glass cannon I have 2968 armor and 16735 health.

Hey!

I am new to the Game, and i was looking for something like this. I do have a few Questions, though.
How do you keep up Regeneration the whole Time?
Do you use a Mace and Symbol of Faith?
If so, how do you keep up Protection the whole Time?
Do you swap between Hammer and Mace?
For me, it looks like you can either upkeep Regeneration or Protection, because one is “spamable” with a Mace, the other one with a Hammer.
Also, does Altruistic Healing work for every Boon?
If if have Might and Regeneration, does it proc two times per Second?
Oh, and last, but not least, thank you for all the Work/Math you have done.
