I think the writing is fine, it’s just the execution was bad. There are several different and more immersive ways they could of handled it.

Something is wrong with the networking and/or servers right now. Nobody can transfer and nobody is getting their upgrades. Hopefully they can fix it quickly. Didn’t they just release a patch?

Yeah my wife just got her account back. The hacker moved her to a European server and now she is trying to transfer back to her normal server. She is getting the same problems, network errors, ect. I told her to give it a few more minutes.

Customer service is not looking purdy so far. I have gotten a response back.

See I was the one who bought both accounts and gave one to my wife. So I used a spare email for her account. I issued the support ticket with the account that was hacked and passed on all information. They replied with “In order to take control of the account, we need to speak to your wife from a different email address”. I don’t understand why they would want a different email address? I gave the serial code for the account, I gave the character names, I used the email that was hacked, I gave them my wife’s handle, I even told them who the gold sellers were because I saw their guild ingame using her character. I paid for it with my debit card. So now my wife has to reopen a support ticket from an email not associated with the account? Her name is not under the account. It’s mine.

I sent a response back and I don’t even know if the current support ticket is still open. So if she sends an email, will they have two support tickets open? Again it was purchased by me, so I sent the support ticket as myself, maybe because I mention my wife was using it………i dunno.

I am fairly certain they used information from Diablo 3 and our weak passwords.

5 days? Wow. I would of thought that hacking and exploiting would take priority in their customer service department. But from looking at these forums and numberous other forums, I can tell that there are thousands of people getting hacked constantly. I provided all the information and even gave the name of the gold sellers, you think they would at least send an email out saying they are suspending the account until the matter is fully investigated. That way there is no fear of them deleting her character and all that time and money invested in her account.

It happened this morning about 4 hours ago. They hacked her email and erased everything GW2 related and changed her password and email for her account. I sent a support ticket, but just wondering from other people, how long until you get a response from Anet? How long did it take for this situation to be resolved?

It was ourkittenfault because of the weak passwords that were used and we never check our email that often. But I found the gold selling site and people that stole her account. I logged in and they already had her account joined to a gold selling guild.

We play a lot of online games and this has never happened, but the only thing she says she did was check her ingame mail recently and there were several spams from gold sellers. I heard rumors of hackers getting you that way, but I didn’t believe it.

My son told me that there was a feature in GW1 where a player could marry a player.
Is that true?
How did that work?
And will we be able to do that in GW2?
My husband and I play together and thought that sounded cool.

No such feature in Gw1

I think doing LI would make the personal story or world, well more personal. I played Dragon Age Origins to death and back because I was way invested to my characters. It doesn’t have to be raunchy, kissing, all that junk. Something tastefull is all that is needed.

Game Improvement - Suggestions

1. LFG dungeon tool. Exp and Story mode options please.

2. Guild – Being able to see how much influence members have given. Being able to see when that person was last online.

3. Semi Timed Dungeons or Maps for Guilds – Every few days an instance opens up that scales you to 80 where one to all members of your Guild can join in and do quests, kill bosses, get loot ect… It would work like a normal DE where the more people you have, the more it scales. So if I jump on and my guildies are doing instance A, I can jump on as well and help out. It would create more personal friendships within the guild. It would be time restricted so that everyone could still be out in the world during down times.

4. More options on armor and weapon skins at lower levels. I keep seeing the same ele wearing the same clothes from lvl 1-40. Make more skins at lower levels. Make us want to use those transmutation stones! I want to feel some sort of progression even if it is just skins.

5. Allow us to be able to salvage soulbound karma items. I found a new trinket, but I still want my gem I used to upgrade my old one.

6. Add more experience to your Personal Story. I understand you wanting us to lvl up for the next story, but not 3-4 levels. Especially if I am enjoying the storyline.

Grinding out levels to do personal story.

Anybody else feeling this? I am doing my personal story, I find that my instance is a few seconds away from my previous one, but it requires me to be 2 or three levels higher. So I have to run around the map and complete hearts or go to a different map all together and grind out a few levels to continue.

I don’t enjoy typical quests in MMO’s and that’s what Heart events are. I thought I remembering hearing that you can just do your personal story or open world or both. But just doing the personal story is next to impossible. In GW1 the story was on a pace from point A to point B. In order to reach point B, you had to go through 1,2,3 different areas to get to your next story part. Why is this not implemented in GW2? It’s more of a suggestion than a complaint. But I would really like to be pulled through a map to go to the next point instead of trying to find something to grind to continue my story line. Either that or up the experience gained doing your PS more where I don’t have to grind a few levels. Again just a suggestion to improve the gameplay experience and not having any kind of down time. Down time in a game is normally bad.

Example : My PS put me in a new map at the level range from 45-55. I was lvl 43. In order to do the next PS I had to be 45. I did it at 44. The next PS wants me to do it at lvl 47. I grinded out the map and am now at 46. Did the PS, the next one wants me to be at 50. I am 46 and did most the map already? So I have to find some way to grind 4 more levels.

Any other suggestions to help Anet make GW2 the best game out there? I know I can explore, WvW or craft. But I did explore, I don’t like WvW and crafting. There is also the case that this game is only a few weeks old and will improve.

Other suggestions :
1. LFG function. Story or Ex mode for dungeons.
2. Guild Halls, better ones base on Inf points.
3. Romances or LI’s.

You’re not supposed to just be able to grind through your personal story. It doesn’t even make sense. The story is spaced out through the game up until lvl 80. You’re supposed to use the personal story to break up your leveling. Your idea that you should be able to just jump into each subsequent quest would imply you want to get to level 80 simply by doing your story.

What I actually would prefer is for them to space the story out, where I am required to move through a map in order to get from point A to point B then I could level up on the way to point B. Right now I am getting story line quests seconds away from each other and they are requiring me to be 3-4 levels higher. So instead of progressing, they are telling me I have to run around this map or a different map and then come back later.

Precision does, but what the hard part is, is getting the damage from a crit attack up. My chance at one point was 73%, but the added damage was only 5. lol. worthless right?

I would actually prefer more hair and facial hair styles all around. The selection right now is good. But one or two beautiful hair styles for female get used the most. All female faces look the same, so in essence I see the same looking females pass by me a million times a day.

I still think the dye and customizations are better than most MMO’s. But I would prefer more hairstyles. Nothing wrong with more options.

Someone said they had a strat guide. In that guide it stated that you have to stack the same stat in every piece of armor and trinket in order to feel the difference. So if you are doing a dungeon and want to focus a little more on heal, you have to have armor with all healing power and trinkets with all healing power. If you want to play a little more defensive, you have to stack toughness. A stat of 50 healing won’t show so much, but a stack of 5 of them on you will. It’s the same with all stats.

The Heart events are actually touted as being a normal quest line by Anet. The Dynamic events are what they are their bread and butter. What they need to do is to find a way to better illustrate the story of the map when you first enter it. The scouts only point out a few things and tell you what the Hearts are up to. But maybe a small cutscene/vista with some dialog when you first enter a new map.

I totally agree with you man. I have found myself not even playing after reaching 41, it’s just not fun anymore. I enjoy my personal story and all but I am sick and tired of grinding 3 levels or 2 levels to do 5-10 minutes of a story, then told to go to another location that requires an additional 2 to 3 levels.

I did also like in GW1 how it was perfectly set up in this instance and I never found myself grinding to complete akittenstory. To say the least, personal story was very poorly implemented… at least for those who us who don’t want to scan the map for events/hearts non stop.

Thank you! lol.

People tell me that MMO’s are not for me because I don’t like to do quests. Well I am a GW1 fan so maybe thats the problem.
