I am not a MMO verteran but I have played a few and I have only played on one server in GW2 but I am finding this community to be the quietest community I’ve played in. I’m loving the game but for me it is lacking a MMO community feel a litle bit.

I was just surprised as I thought this game was going to be the PvP system for PvPers so I expected the sPvP battlegrounds to be quite strategic affairs not the random running around capping a losing bases.
The battles I’ve been in lack even basic concepts of strategy e.g. where there are 3 bases on a map, cap 2 and defend them using /team to co-ordinate reinforcements between the bases as required.
I love the look of the game and the wide variation of character modification (traits and skill sets etc.) but the PvP is a big dissapointment for me atm.

IMHO there is so much variation on builds using traits, trait perks gear modifications and different skill sets that is would be difficult to accurately say if a proffesion is over or under powered.

I wasn’t really meaning the WvW, I’ve only done a few hours of that up to now, I was mainly referring to the 4 conquest battlegrounds/warzones (sorry I don’t know the correct terminology for this game).

Is it me or are all of the conquest PvP battles just a continuous zerg from one base to the next with no coordination or communication.
In the many dozens of battles I’ve done I’ve only seen a few /team comments about strategy and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen anybody actually stay at a base to defend it after it has been capped, usually it is just a run from one base to the next capping and losing bases as the teams do laps of the map.
