Yeah, why don’t bags/boxes that offer different types of loot stack? It just doesn’t make sense!
Also, why are you saving the loot boxes anyway?
No s/he is asking why 1 ascended angchu armor chest dont stack with another angchu armor chest and same with 2 identical weapon boxes.
That makes more sense on re reading. But still… why save them? Is there a point to holding on to them?
…just thought of something, containers you get in pve that offer you a choice of items don’t stack with the same type of box either do they? Like carapace boxes and such? I would guess it has something to do with them having different loot depending on what you choose?

I’ll throw my support in here for changing the sound back. The new sound just is not good.

Third hit on staff combo… No.
No. Please no. ‘Lookit me, no hands!’ It’s terrible. Just… no.
Vault is extremely cool looking at least. I was hoping Dust Strike would be like, sweeping the ground in a half circle or something instead of the shovel animation. A lot of the staff animations almost feel like placeholders.
I personally think female heavy has some of the best looks in the game.
I’m cool with there being both skimpy and practical options but… man, some of the sexy armor is just lazy. Like the Order armors just having cutouts at the sides or chest. That’s lazy and it’s bad design. If you want sexualized ‘armor’, go light. It has plenty of stripper costumes and club wear. I really wish that more of the light female pieces looked like the male light pieces…
Not to derail this topic too much, but Rift had the worst ‘sexy’ female armor of any game I’ve ever played. I’d say 80% of the female armor in the game looked like garbage because it apparently had to be sexier than the male armors, including helmets that had full cover on men, but exposed the face on women (just a personal thing that drove me nuts). I’m extremely thankful GW2 isn’t like that.
If you’re struggling while being downscaled, then you’re not very good at the game. I barely notice a difference. As someone mentioned, you still get all your traits and (possibly) all your sigil bonuses so you’re still probably stronger than that level 11 guy in Queensdale you’re so eager to be superior to.
It’s fairly obvious that most of the people complaining just want to be able to one shot things in lowbie zones and expend zero effort for loot and rewards like it was before the patch. Maybe you should spend that energy complaining about something that should have been this way since launch towards adjusting instead.
It’s just on the select screen at least!
WoD for WoW initially turned some darker skinned characters super pale.
Also changing things all the time starts to get on peoples nerves, people like consistency.
I prefer improvement over consistency. Now what.
Change isn’t always improvement. As shown by the npe trait changes. I’m not sure this will be an improvement either since it’s just a further dumbing down of the system in place.
I won’t miss the current way we acquire traits, but I will miss having build freedom and the traits they’re chopping out for the sake of their future convenience.
Am I the only one sad about Tomes getting scrapped? They were fun and unique and I will miss them greatly…
As a fairly casual player… Top shelf whining.
Suck it up and earn it if you can’t buy it. No one owes you anything and it’s not Anets job to protect you from having to pay high prices at the TP.
Everything I could say has probably already been said and said better, but I may as well give my feedback since I’ve given it to plenty of others I play with: The NPE was a waste of time and frankly, I would be ashamed to say I worked on it if I was at Anet. It feels like those that worked on it weren’t familiar with the game, the players or the systems already in place. Or, more likely, they didn’t care. It’s poorly implemented and it broke a lot of things that didn’t need changed or fixed. This seems to be ArenaNet policy these days though (see new new Daily system).
It broke the story, putting things out of order and cutting out sections. It made leveling choppy, slower and unpleasant. It treats you like an idiot. The new trait system is awful, with some traits placed out of your level range or in buggy events with poor guidance on what you need to do to unlock them. It makes you backtrack for exploration elements and does lots of unnecessary level gating that didn’t need to be in the game.
Worst of all, it does a poor job of teaching you what to DO in the game. Most of the new or returning I’ve talked to say that it DOES NOT help them. So far, it seems like the NPE is only good for turning people off of the game.
What the game really needs is a global LFG channel. That would be fine, honestly.
Orr isn’t that bad. In fact, I like the feel of Orr and the constant battles for the most part. There are a few spots that are solo unfriendly buuuut…
I don’t like Southsun. Karka aren’t horrible, but I’m fairly certain as a casual player that two at once would be a death sentence on most characters and I don’t think I could beat a veteran on my own. And those drakes… what the hell is up with the drakes? Pull, stun, confuse, aoe ground damage… and they hit like burning out of control trucks full of dynamite. That acid patch is just ridiculous, especially when they drag you into it and blast you with a stun as soon as you stand up. They’re extremely unfriendly to melee fighters (big shock) but they aren’t AS bad with range if you’re ready for them. As for the rewards… I haven’t really noticed them being that much better for the extra work that goes into navigating the area. At least, not enough for me to actually want to go there.
That might be because I got bored of having single STANDARD enemies shaving 3/4 of my health off (or possibly killing me, in some cases) when I was just trying to explore though. It’s probably better with a friend but, you don’t always have friends around or feel like teaming up. I don’t mind the team stuff, but Southsun is just annoying. Which is too bad because it’s a beautiful environment.

(Speaking from PVE perspective, Ele is currently at 79 and I’m thinking of just not playing her up the rest of the way.)
Ele is not really great. Or really even good. Not having weapon swap kinda sucks, even with the attune dancing crap. I’d really like to be able to quick switch to staff without having to leave combat. I find attune dancing incredibly unrewarding, but I prefer to specialize in a weapon and magic type when I’m playing.
It takes them twice as long to do what another class does without switching around abilities like a spazz and they’re weaker while doing it. Heals are weak and utilities aren’t too great. Things that I would have no problem with on other classes are a chore or will kill you.
Also… they only have one elite that works underwater and it’s a 30 pointer. What’s with that?
Elementalist heals in general are kinda… crappy. The glyph isn’t terrible, but all of them are kinda mediocre compared to other classes heals. I’m unsure why popping it has such a long cooldown base or why the heal per attack is so low.
Thief got nothing but nerfs and they seriously, really didn’t need them. I’m baffled as to WHY arenanet thought they should HALF a skills damage without adding any compensation.
I’m fairly certain that dancing dagger wasn’t overperforming by that much, or if all. It just doesn’t make sense.
