Guild Wars 2

I guess I’ll just have to live with this. It’s bs tho. I get 57-78 fps in bf3 on ultra in 64player matches and even more fps in other games. oh well. At least AMD has one game where their cards work better.

I did try the stock clocks. same fps.
Cpu running over 90% and gpu only 60%.
Any known fixes :/ ?

nvm…I just tested smthg. I went back to stock clocks on my video card and the fps remained the same. So I guess Gw2 is hardly using my gpu. Anyway to fix this ? bcs I have seen people on youtube with this video card and cpu and they ahd amazing fps in WvW

he didn’t overclock his. I oc’d mine tho. i rund at 4.6 ghz. I should get at least 10 fps more than him but i dont. and both gpu and cpu usage r fine

My friend and I have the same pc.
i5 2500 k
8gigs ram
same mobo
diff video card.

He gets a stable 60+ fps and in crowded areas, events and WvW 40+. He has the HD6950

I have the gtx 570 and sometimes go down to 25 fps in events and WvW.

The gtx 570 outperforms the HD6950 in any game besides this one.
Is this because Gw2 has better support for ATI ??

Hey does anyone know how to put a voltage cap or smthg ? I oc’d to 4 ghz but it’s automatically going to almost 1.4 volts which is waaay too high for that. Any way to cap it at 1.2 ??

Is your friends cpu same as yours, stock or OC?
Have you checked during game play to see if the GTX 570 is being down clocked. Some cards do that for some unknown reasons at times.
You can use MSI Afterburner while game.

Yes he does have it to stock clocks.
And I also did check that, but it’s not undervolting or anything. I use evga precision x tho

You need a good cpu cooler to overclock. very slight change to damage cpu, if you know what you are doing.

Yes I do have that driver. So you guys are saying it’s my cpu huh ?
the thing is, a friend of mine has almost the same pc, just that he has only 4gb ram and the hd 6950 with 1.2 gb.
The gtx 570 superclocked should be better, but he has never under 40fps on ultra settings no matter what.
I find this odd. Is it on Nvidias side maybe ??

I just upgraded to this:
i5 2500k (still at 3.3 ghz don’t really wanna oc just yet)
EVGA gtx 570 superclocked

EDIT: Yes I have all drivers up to date
8gigs of ram ripjaws (2×4)
500gb hard drive
Asrock Fatl1ty p67 mobo.

I play any game on ultra settings, but not here ;c
shadows are only on high instead of ultra, and reflections are on Terrain and Sky.
In dragon fights it goes down to 25 fps and WvW? if I get close to a battle (no matter how big) 17 fps.
Is this normal with my build ?

So I just upgraded. Like almost a thousand dollar upgraded..
Im so sad. I literally upgraded because I wanted to play guild wars 2 on ultra because My other pc couldn’t….
Bought a new 24inch 3d screen too..
My specs:
intel core i5 2500k 3.3 ghz
geforce gtx 570 evga superclocked
8gigs ram

Im really kitten #8230;Im getting 25 fps in some areas EVEN IF I SET TO LOWEST SETTINGS.
Makes me wanna cry…I saved up for this pc and built it myself.
Why can I not run this ?

Same here. I can play almost any game on ultra without shadows, including BF3 and Skyrim.
Specs:
Core 2 duo 2.82 ghz (overclocked from 2.1ghz)
nvidia geforce gtx 260m that is overclocked with the newest drivers/beta drivers
4gb ram

Im usually only getting 18-22 fps. sometimes much more and sometimes less. But this low fps is rlly frustrating. Doesn’t keep me from playing tho haha ^^ almost have my first level 80.
I will try to upgrade my cpu n the next 2 weeks from a core 2 duo to core 2 extreme(3.2ghz) and see if that helps any, because changing video settings doesnt change fps no matter what. i cant go higher than the core 2 extreme because my laptop motherboard wont support it.

I love gw2, i have for almost 4 years.
Hope this gets fixed soon
