Guild Wars 2

Hello Tyria!

For those that haven’t heard about it by now, Northernshiverpeaks.org has a great radio service geared toward specifically Guild Wars 2 and its community and events. While we were originally geared toward only the NorthernShiverpeaks server community, the MegaServer has given us the ability to go GAME WIDE! Just head over to the site above and click on the radio stream on the right side of the page. You can even click the “Pop-Out” player by clicking the “Click Here” button at the top of that box and the radio will continue to play as you navigate away from Northernshiverpeaks.org!

There are many different types of shows and DJ’s that are a part of NSPRadio, but I’m here to tell you about the particular show I do on Sunday Nights at 7pm Server time.

Musical ADD w/ Genogoth is a Top 40 radio show that plays current hits and hits from as far back as the 70’s. I tend to skip around from genre to genre and play just about anything that people want to hear, provided it’s available in our expansive music library!

Oh, did I mention that our library is over 6,000 songs strong and growing every day? Chances are we have something you want to hear, or we have access to getting it very quickly! I do play requests, and that’s actually the most fun aspect of doing my weekly show!

I can see you sitting there asking….What’s in it for you? Glad you asked. We do multiple contests throughout the night. I have given away as much as 885g in a single contest. Heck, you can buy a precursor for that amount!

Now that you have a slight introduction as to what I am doing, I’ll invite you all to come out at 7pm Server to the new Lion’s Arch, where I am usually hanging out in Fort Mariner talking it up with those that are listening and putting on contests. Having been a victim of being hacked this past weekend like hundreds (if not thousands) of others, and currently awaiting a roll back of my account to attempt to get the majority of my stuff back, I find myself wondering:

When it comes to gold sellers in game, is it best to ignore them and let them spam? Is it still safe to interact with their posts enough to block and report them? I hear different things, so I’m curious. I have heard that if you click on them or interact with them in any capacity they can gain access to information, so I’m wondering what I can do to help combat this menace without compromising my own security again. The ONLY interaction I’ve ever had with anyone spamming gold selling in game was to right click and report and then right click and block, but I still became a victim of being hacked.

Any information to help ease my peace of mind would be helpful.

This is actually a problem that both an officer in my guild and my wife have been experiencing for a while now, ever since the latest patch (3-4). We have tried just about everything we can think of collaboratively and nothing seems to be helping. Today we are going to try to do a complete wipe and reinstall of the GW2 client and see if that fixes the problem.

As a guild Leader for The Explorers of Kryta, I have to agree with everything said in the OP. NSP is a great server with great people, and I have not seen a community out to help each other through more than I have seen here. Come help NSP be even better. We’d love to see you around.

Doesn’t seem to happen every time. Fellow guild mates ran with PuGs and didn’t have a problem. Just seemed to be us.

My group fought all the way through the new F&F Dungeon to the Molten bosses at the end. Multiple times (We gave up after the 15th time) during the fight the bosses health would reset back to full. When this would happen, there would still be members of the group fighting the bosses, including Ranger pets that were engaged with them in Melee.

Again, after the 15th time of this happening, we finally gave up in frustration, called it bugged and left. I’m curious if anyone else has had this problem? This was on the Northern Shiverpeaks server.

I’m not sure what server you play on, but we could be a great guild fit for you if you can get to the Northern Shiverpeaks server. We are a laid back casual guild that is based around helping each other within the guild and at the same time, doing what we can to help out in the community at large. I’ve actually noticed an INCREASE in the drop rate on the Black Lion Chests since the second part of the Flame and Frost was released. (Coincidentally also when they nerfed the Event Chests). But I too have not received a Key in game for quite a while. I believe they are only available through Gem Purchases now? I used to get them from exploring all the time, now nothing……
