Guild Wars 2

Having just recently earned the Dreamer, I was actually a little put off by the sound myself. My guild mates have complained about it during runs and while it does stand out, the sound does get to me after awhile (I just turn down all the sounds). That all said, if your going to change it how about an wet farty sort of sound as those unicorns crap out those rainbows!

Raise money? I did it the old fashion way and actually earned it. Took me almost 900 hours of gameplay.

So, month later, same question. I see that season 2 of living world starts tomorrow. Rolled a warrior for a while, but have only played her up to 25. Maybe it’s just the fact that I already earned my Kudzu, feels like end game, like nothing to really go for anymore and I just can’t seem to find a reason to play now.

Well, since I have the Kudzu, then it’s still pointless to play. Thanks for the info…

I’ll check back in another 6 months or so.

Been a while since I played. Still come back from time to time just to see if the game has gotten better yet for rangers. But, looking at threads, still seems we suck. So no point in playing.

Am I wrong?

LVL 80 have my Kudzu!

Looking for a build I can use in TA. I of course need to farm blooms. Currently I’m so squishy I can’t even run past the hounds!!!!!

In the end the answer is this. I have $$. If I don’t want to play I will not spend the $$. There are a lot of current games and a lot of new games right around the corner begging for that $$.

The last major update prompted me to almost quit. I level’d up an Ele to 80 instead thinking well, maybe this will make the game enjoyable now… then I realized, I hate being an ele. I bought this game to be a ranger. I’m a ranger in all the mmo’s I played in the past. Some for many years. This game has so much promise but that’s quickly turin sour.

So, after this last update I tried a couple re specs. Once that have shared here. Only got to play them for a day or so but found myself totally worthless. Not really the builds fault but I just don’t have the energy or interest to have to relearn how to play my ranger all over again. After almost 900 hours of play it feels like I have to start over. A lot of the things I worked hard to obtain suddenly worthless. Every major patch in this game seems to be another start over for the ranger class. Another forget about everything your doing and start over. Legendary’s being worked on… now worthless.

So yes whine and cry about it. No. Just done. I’ve never played a game where I felt as off everything I tried to do was punished. I try to farm for the stuff you require, in return you remove the farms but not the requirements…. I try new locations to achieve what is required and I’m docked via DR for my efforts. So I have to play even longer. Even harder to achieve those requirements… I feel like a mule with the carrot on the stick and frankly I’ve had enough of it.

Rangers have always been the embarrassment of the game. When we do fine a tweak that helps us it’s taken away. People are actually scared to post good builds now for fear they will get taken away. Pointless. No one wants a ranger in a party. WVW, Dungeon, whatever, there are other classes that would better fill the slots and help the teams.

So, now the latest hammer. All the time I spent earning ascended gear to match my build worthless… Suddenly I can’t survive lvl 20 fractals where the day before I could run 23-4 without worry.

I almost logged in tonight… it’s been almost a week, then I though about it and was like “what’s the point”

what I hate it how much it costs to even try the build. I have most everything, I was already spec’d to pow/pre/crit But no horn, just the horn and the scholar is 50 gold. lot to spend for a test… Is’t there a cheaper horn with same spec?

Ruby orbs and zerk rares is still huge DPS.

Run a bunch of CoF and get zerker gear via tokens and use the gold to upgrade to scholar runes. Make sure you eat omnom or raspberry bars

I bought all scholar and found the Kodanroar horn reasonable. HAd everything else already.

I don’t thing I’m a total newbie here. I have 900 hours on my ranger. I was just asking a question since every time someone comes up with a new respec it cost time and money to try it and was looking for a cheaper alternative since I don’t even know if it fits my play style.

like I said before, I gave this a shot since I was already spec’d pwr/pre/crit. Meaning I already have full zerker everything. I only have 3 zerker ascended pieces but, filling in the remaining gaps with 3 zerker exotics.

What I found in last nights run is I’m extremely squishy with this build. Didn’t see the numbers I’m use to with the “Maul build” https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/Maul-Ranger-WvW-Build/first#post2150178 That I was running. (A build that pre patch was letting me live in fracktals 22 with 15AR) and seems to hold it’s own in wvw.

In comparison we ran a normal lvl 20 frack last night with this build and could not get past the final boss. (not jade) My numbers only seem to be about half of what I was seeing on the other build same run. Now, I have not tried my old setup post patch, so I’m not sure how nerfed it is but going by last night, the maul build still seems a better build. Would be nice to get some side by side comparison of both. from others since they are relatively close builds.

One thing. I have never liked sword/horn much and have never really played them. So a lot of my failure last night was due to that I’m sure, but every time I tried to use any of the sword skills I would jump in, and die due to the super squishiness. I guess the biggest difference in the 2 builds is the vitality?

looks like an interesting build. I’m going to give it a try myself. Why the Scholar Runes instead of just going with Beryl orbs? With orbs (6) wouldn’t you get 120 power, 12% crit and 84 vitality…

Blah blah blah no mention of rangers…. I know… Lets make them less effective underwater, that would be fun… Seriously, every patch seems to do nothing but nerf us even more, building up other classes. How about some love to the Long bow? Not that a “ranger” would have any use for an effective long bow or anything. How about giving us a special ability to see invisible thief’s or something? Right now, we are nothing but sitting ducks for them. They can sneak up and kill us before we even realize we are in a fight. When we do try and fight back. POOF! gone again… it’s so OP it’s ridiculous. Almost 800 hours of play on my ranger and still have to run GS SB build (like everyone else) to have any shot at playing WVW or dungeons.

I have an Idea. How about giving use the option of having quick weapon swap sets? Basically or main set used 90% of the time (GS SB) and a way to switch out to a secondary set like (LB SB). Armor sets would be nice too. Be able to build up a full set, put it into a box and then just click that box to equip the whole set instead of having to pick each piece over and over and over…. Example, my Dungeon set, my WVE set and my magic find set…

Oh and fix magic find.

And btw, I can not use any of the extra mini pets… double clicking on them does nothing so something is broken there as well.

You can say what you will, but there has to be a problem with my account. The only thing I can think of is you turned DR on my Char and it has never turned off!

I can run no MF, 387% MF makes no difference. I can farm reefs for example and have to kill 15-20 of them before i get a single drop! When a drop does happen, it’s a dark claw or white…

I only get to play this game on my days off from work. Because of this I have to farm to get the stuff I need to advance in the game. It’s like I’m being punished for working hard when I can play. I have spent real money not only on the game itself (I bought 2 full copies) but I have also spend close to 100 bucks supporting the game in the gem store. I want to continue supporting the game, but am finding it hard given this issue.

I put in a bug report on it. I would like someone to at least look over the account and see the issue. It’s not fair that no matter where I go, in any instance, dungeon, etc that I only drop blues at best. I’ve worked very hard to create my char and love it otherwise, but this has to be fixed.

Seriously, how hard wold this be? Allow us to build special sets and then choose them for the situations without having to double click every since piece separately and drag in the jewels. Maybe make us buy a “kit” or case that we can fill up with out set and carry with us in our bag so all we have to do is double click on that case…

This constant switching is getting old fast.

Ok, So due to the mandatory password change a couple weeks ago I switch my PS. Now, I can not remember what it is. It’s saved here and on this computer for the game, but I can not figure it out to switch to my other computer.

I have 2 bought and downloaded versions of the game. One for me and one for my wife. With her’s, which was just bought a couple weeks ago, I have an email from you with the serial number etc. I do not have the one from when I originally bought and download the game. I do not have a box. Due to this, I’m not able to use your password recovery option. So it’s seems I’m in a little of a catch 22. How do I go about resolving this?

It does make sense. But it still feels a little nerfed. As someone running 70G in gear for MF I’m consistently being out dropped $$$ wise by my friend that has literally 40 Silver worth of gear. It’s almost like I should back off the MF and keep it under 100 or something.

I run a full set of Epic Explore’s armor, with 5x pirate 1x travelers. Travelers Ceremonial short bow, with sub sigil of luck, Travelers Scimitar with chest of traveler, Plus a full set of epic jewelry at 7+ per piece…. Basically adds up to 158% add Omni bars, for another 30%.

BUT

Finding it worthless. I get almost no drops. Most drops are whites. My guild mate, who has a few greens with a little magic (35%) constantly out drops me in the world, dungeons and pvp.

Feeling kind of cheated here. I spent a LONG time building this set to find it basically worthless.

So, I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’m going to crash, usually 2-4 times a night. But this makes PVP impossible. As you all know when you crash and come back in you goto the main world where you were when you left for PVP… which is a huge PITA if your running with a pvp group and they are way up north of in a battle. By the time you can get back the battles done.

You fixed fractals, now please, work on this aspect.
