Love your title: “Minimum CPU requirements unrealistic”
Nah, it’s not the CPU dude, it’s the GPU – those minimum GPU req are pretty dumb…
Alan Wake does not have hundrouds of other players to render all shooting/doing stuff with thousands of calculations every second. In no way shape or form should Alan Wake be compared to GW2.
Fine with me;
How bout’ Star Wars Old Republic on max settings with 80fps+?
I’m not expert but if a 1000$ best GPU on the market ATM can run this game on max with 50fps at lowest, I’d say bad optimization…
I ran Alan Wake on max settings better than I run this game on lowest

I’m not going to play Guild Wars 2 while this ridiculous issue is not resolved. I spent 54,00 euros on this game and i’m not enjoying it. I’m not having a satisfactory experience.
CPU usage ranges from 20% to 50% (max).
The percentage varies every second, even if I am with the camera still staring at a fixed point. COMPLETELY UNSTABLE.
Dude, you’re lucky you’ve got the card I’m looking for to play at 30fps, I’ve got HD5770 and it runs on8-20 fps
Ok, so I got the game and I was shocked when I’ve seen my frame rates – best quality on max graphics runs like 5-20 fps, lowest settings – it runs sometimes on 10-20 fps;
Now I’ve been playing on the Azura race which I’ve been told it’s a really heavy loadout on many machines even on GTX660TI;
I’ve got more then those minimum specs required to play, i5-2500k, HD5770 1Gb GDDR5, 8Gb RAM.
I’ve tried the beta driver as well – no use.
Now, by this site http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/guild-wars-2-performance-benchmark,3268-4.html
it says even the HD6450 runs it at minimum of 30fps – mine is 8 fps – a 40$ GPU beats a 120$ GPU?! it may be because a newer generation, but I don’t think so, I just think the game doesn’t support my video card, my GPU has way better tech.
I run most game on max settings nowdays.
Does anybody owns a HD5770 and have a solution for me?
