I don’t know when they added those legacy skins to the base game (I guess it isn’t retroactive since I don’t have any of those), but one of those skins costs 800 gems (or $10) in the in-game gem store, which you can purchase from at any time.

Basically, you’re paying for a skin whether you like it or not if you buy from this site.

During AC Explorable, the party leader quit while I was still in the cutscene. I was booted out of the instance (with the other 3 remaining) with no exp or dungeon tokens or boss chest. The same thing happened doing this in Story Mode where I lost the final boss chest. Is there any way I can claim this reward?

Came here to see this. I thought it was gone entirely or my sound was bugged until I was entirely alone with no other sounds, then and only then could I very faintly hear the old greatsaw sound.

It’s like it’s not even there any more. Sure the visuals are still nice but now it feels like just another greatsword.

Any boss can be hurt by a ranged weapon, but it’s very tough to kill bosses like The Shatterer or Gigantic Lupicus with a melee weapon. The fact that the former boss’s hitbox moves erratically makes it tough for melee to land all their hits. With the latter boss, the extreme aoe damage and single target ranged attacks it does are so devastating, you may not have time to get out of the way as a melee.

[[[My real question before I give all my backstory, and this is basically a TL;DR: When you load a map, do you “cache” it? As in, all load times after that initial load will be faster? Even after client restart, and PC restart?]]]

I’m doing everything in my power to improve load times (my only issue with the game) without spending $120 on an SSD [only] for this game, WoW and my OS (literally the only things I’d want on it)

My harddrive is currently 687 GB, and I run Windows Vista. I have a 1 TB HDD, and windows 7, but they are not installed yet for various reasons.

I have done many tests and rework to my harddrive/PC (such as setting my cores from 1 to 4, I can go up to 8 with my Xenon core). I have deleted and defragged my C drive so I went from 4 GB of free space, to 38 GB of free space, to 172 GB of free space. These are my load times respectively.

[Diessa Plateau] (all log-in a character already there, not waypointing in. All of these tests are after a client restart, but not all are after a PC reboot)
- 3 GB HDD, no defrag, 1 core: ~133 seconds, only one test.
- 38 GB HDD, defrag, 4 cores: 45 seconds, only one test.
- 172 GB HDD, ": 53 seconds, but a second test after a client restart gave 20 seconds.

[Lions Arch] (first test was waypointing in, the second was logging in the same spot)
- 172 GB HDD, ": 106 seconds at Trader’s Forum Waypoint
- ": Relog after client restart, 26 seconds.

Thank you for any help, and I hope I’ve provided enough data (others have all said my system specs are fine, and that it is most likely a problem with my HDD or something of the sort)

Being a Furry, it was only natural.

I quickly learned that I get sick of seeing their running animation quickly (hard to see my armor in movement), so I’m much more keen to the humanoid races (Sylvari, Human, Norn)
