It would be convenient. As for great … not really since you can just run through a “dead” DS and open a bunch of pods.
Pods appear only on finished events. And generally maps are divided in the succesful ones (hard to get into while they are running, impossible to get into after they’ve succeeded), and those that haven’t even started doing anything.
So, no, your suggestion doesn’t really work.
I disagree with your comment “Pods only appear on finished events”. I’m in DS every day on several alts farming nodes and pods. When a DS meta isn’t running, there’s approximately 3 to 4 noxious pods per lane.
There are tons that I simply can’t get because HoT maps are DEAD. There’s no one doing the events. How the heck am I supposed to get event-related masteries?
I disagree that HoT maps are dead. They’re going through their usual period of being quiet because a new zone, Draconis Mons, has opened. People naturally flock to the new zones to complete the content. It’s happened in the past (when Bloodstone Fen and Bitterfrost opened) so exercise some patience as more players will return to the HoT maps.
The best instance of player “designability” that I liked was in Rift, in which they had many different sized and themed “dimensions”. The dimension was a player’s personal space that could be designed as much as you liked (including making it a PvP area, if so desired) and also setting permissions for who you allowed into the dimension.
Has the NSS JP been adjusted in any way? Until recently, whenever I positioned my characters on the cogwheels (above the airship, enroute to the goggles) they would propel me to the next cogwheel without a problem. Now, when I position my characters in exactly the same spot, on each cogwheel, I get propelled further, go straight over the next cogwheel, and fall to my death. This also happens with the first lot of cogwheels just inside the JPs entrance? It’s extremely frustrating, and annoying.
