So much lag omg!!!

I know Macs have more problems playing GW2 but never like this!
I am playing with less than 30fps on PvP, which is ridiculous!

Playing PvP has been a nightmare for me :O

Yeah, at the very start you need to build your stack and not die before that… Although you get your stack pretty quickly. After that its just a matter of practice. Learn how to best use the Lightning Flash and Earth Armor. And another main point is when to use your water attunement and when to use the combos and some other skills like Updraft, which has a big Cooldown or the 4 earth. Landing fire step (3) is always a good thing at the beginning.

Thats pretty much the meta build…

Although people say it is easy to use, it is not easy to master.
The possibilities are endless and the attunement change is the most important thing! Water is really really important, therefore choose wisely when to use the skills or change to water because of the CDs. Earth gives you protection. Just play with it.

Before I was playing D/S fresh air, and to be honest although this build does less DPS you survive more therefore making more damage.

What build do you guys consider to be the best for PVE and dungeons?

Guyver, you’re saying guard isn’t good for wvwvw?

If that’s the thing I won’t be that sad ahah.

I want a money maker and a completely different class to what I’m used to. (Ele and mesm).

Ive been playing GW2 for quite a time.

I have an ele and a mesmer. Just two because I really love these two classes.

The thing is, will I like Guardian? Guard and War were always the professions that I tried not to play since so many people use them. But I think I might need some change of play, and diversity.

So, before I make my decision I have some questions:

Will Guardian keep being good after the patch?

Whats the main diff between guard and war?

Can Guard use SS? If yes is it a good weapon set? The thing is I love SS, it just looks really cool!

Just tell me why you think Guard might be a good choice.

So I’ve been playing GW2 for a time.

I have an ele and a mesmer. I love both.

In games, warriors were never my favourite class, but I decided to do one. He is lvl 2, lo. But before I start doing anything with him, I want to know some things.

Ive read that after the patch, if someone uses mace/axe, switching weapons won’t be necessary, and thats kind of boring, using always the same weapon set.

Another thing, is SS a good thing? Because I really love using two swords, it just looks cool.

Just give me your opinion if I might like it or not. Considering the patch that is coming.

Like I said what I want is more pve than pvp. Do open world, tons of dungeons and fractals. Party in open world and sometimes help my. Guild in wvwvw. But dont take that too much into account for the build. I think with 2S I can get good speed and damage. And since it is light armour I can use GS in pinchy situations. I want to do more damage than support. I tend to do my builds but always give a look at others. But about Mesmer I don’t know nothing. Thank you a lot

Oh btw, I want dps but I don’t want to be a feather.

Well hello everyone.

I say I’m new to gw2 because I plYed the beta, the first weeks and only came back basically 3 weeks ago. Played 1 or 2 weeks in between this time. It nothing special. Time didn’t permit it. Now that I hVe more time I came back. I’ve always run with ele. That’s my fav class in every rpg. But I’ve always loved and a lot, dual wielding characters. Always wanted to run one that feels like a smooth experience and that I can control, not only just keep attacking with the same 1 skill and sometimes other ones.
I mean, we have daggers but ain’t the same. Dual swords are cool Hah

You would say: “make a warrior” I would say no. Ahah I don’t like war or guard. Don’t get me wrong but it is too low brain and over used. And when I found out mesmers can use 2S I just created one and it’s sitting in divinity’s reach at lvl 4 waiting for your opinions guys

So the thing is, being high end or not this Mesmer has to use 2S. My main will be my ele so no worries of this mess not being high end like the most used S/P + GS.
Still, I want to remain competitive. Main use is for pve, dungeons and fracts and casual and occasional wvwvw.

Could you please give me or explain me a good build for SS + GS. this GS can be a staff but I would prefer GS because I already run staff in ele and I want variety in game. So new weapons aahah

May I ask you that which model you tested on? 15" or 13"? If you tested on 15" model, is it the model that has only Intel Iris Pro’s GPU or Nvidia’s GT 750M? I’m going to buy the 15" model which has only Intel Iris Pro’s GPU soon but not sure that It can play GW2 smooth or not

Haven’t played yet wvwvw. I was out of the game 2 months because I moved to another country.
I don’t play in the best resolution because it would be too small for the size of the screen. I play in the third best resolution (if it helps, can’t remember which).
Actually, I played more intensively, and I have to say the rmbp doesn’t heat that much. You practically don’t even feel it. It reaches a certain temperature and remains there, it’s quite cool I have to say. If you stop like for 1/2min the heat goes down right away. I have to say I’m quite amazed

Runs extremely good. Although after 1-2min the f=game is launched the fan starts to spin at max speed. It heats a bit as well.

Tomorrow I will go to the nearby apple store and see if they have the rmbp 13" 8gb ram 256gb ssd 2.4ghz.
I hope they do ahah
Last week I was about to by the 13" air with 8gb ram. Good thing I didn’t ahah. I will surely be more well served with this rmbp and play the game even better I think

I can’t update my Mac to 10.7 of further because my ZTE connection doesn’t have a compatibility with OS 10.7 or further. (At least that I know of)
My OS is 10.6.8 and I have an iMac of 2011. Good specs.
I’ve read people that play with this OS, but when I click “Play” the game/application goes down.
What’s the problem?
