How to run gw2 in high graphics

Oh I forgot to add, that there are even some GTX 750 TI that don’t have 6 pin power connector. Most of them just run off the PCI Express slot at 75 watts. Ones like the EVGA Superclocked have the 6 pin. Do research on the cards to find which 750 TIs do not have the 6 pins if you want the TI version.

My EVGA Superclocked 750 Ti doesn’t have a 6 pin connector. You might be thinking of the slightly more powerful model, the FTW edition with the ACX cooler (which is complete overkill, by the way… my card never goes over 60c at full load, idles at 27c).

I more or less just want to know what kind of damage a GS warrior is capable of at their absolute best without food buffs and such, against say, mobs out in Orr. The top-end numbers will give me something to work towards achieving on my own.

How about, to be more exact, the kind of damage they can do with 100b. Right now I’m managing anywhere from 13-16k on mine against such mobs while running around solo. Is that low?

I’ve been attempting and failing to find good videos (recent ones, mind you, such as after the feature patch) that show off a GS warrior’s damage in PvE. Not dungeons, not fractals, just regular old open world PvE.

So, my question to all you warriors out there, is what kind of damage should I be seeing on a GS warrior? I just want to know if I’ve been doing it wrong or not, because I feel like some warriors can just wreck me in terms of their damage output when I see them out in the world.

i dont think the 340.52 driver made any changed to game performance, was just a driver update to work with nvidias new shield tablet. right?

Well, in the release notes (which you do have to dig to find) it states that it includes “key DirectX optimizations which result in reduced game-loading times and
significant performance increases across a wide variety of games”

I haven’t played any other games yet because I’ve been busy, but GW2 doesn’t show any improvement for me.

Plus, I have to admit I’ve found the community here less toxic than that other game.

Agreed 100%. I was legitimately shocked when I started playing GW2 and found the friendliest online gaming community I’ve ever seen. That is no exaggeration at all. Of course there are still rotten apples in the bunch, that’s unavoidable, but there are so few that I only see maybe one per month. Keep in mind though, this is in the regular open world. sPvP has a lot of toxic players from my experience, as do dungeon groups found via the lfg tool, but I don’t do either anymore.

I have a GTX 750 Ti and I didn’t really notice any significant change in GW2 performance… Was there supposed to be?

Will i get enough fps?

Well I’m not sure how much worse the 750 is than the 750 Ti, but on my 750 Ti 2GB I can turn supersampling on and shadows to high with no drop in fps at all.

Yes, 1GB is more than enough. You should easily be able to hit 40 fps with that.

Audio Problem: Logitech G930 Headphones, Sound Effects in Right Ear Only

Guys, there’s a much easier solution to this that doesn’t involve changing around any of those settings (except to actually re-enable them after you do what I did).

I had the same exact problem in just about every game with the surround sound, and the solution was to uninstall the Logitech Gaming Software, and download and install an older version. It takes a bit more afterward to get the audio working just right, but it completely fixes all 7.1 surround sound anomalies.

1. Download this driver: ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/gaming/lgs840_x64.exe if you have a 64-bit Windows, or ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/gaming/lgs840.exe if you have a 32-bit Windows
2. Uninstall Logitech Gaming Software
3. Install the one you just downloaded
4. Once everything is up and running, open LGS and go to the surround sound panel, enable surround sound on your headphones, and turn each volume setting down to 10 (If you don’t do this, there will be MASSIVE bass distortion with surround sound active)
5. Turn surround sound back off, then go to the volume control panel and click the arrow button on the bottom right that says “Show advanced equalizer”, then set the preamp to 2. Now you’re done with the LGS config, so you can close it.
6. Right click on the volume icon in your taskbar, then click Playback devices
7. Select the headset from the list, and click Configure
8. Click next, and you might or might not find that some of the options are unchecked. Make sure that ALL of them are CHECKED.
9. Click next again and again make sure all options are checked.
10. Then click next, and finish.

That’s it! I followed these steps exactly and now my sound is absolutely perfect on my G930 headset. One last thing to note: You may have to adjust your volume in the LGS panel from 98 to 100 every so often, especially after a reboot. I have no idea why it constantly resets to 98, but the difference in volume is noticeable enough that you should be able to tell when it happens, and fix it.
