An update on this. The team is actively working towards a solution for the lag issue many of you have experienced. They have already tried a few potential fixes that did not yield the expected results and are continuing to root out potential causes.

Suffice to say, they aren’t ignoring this problem.

happened to me yesterday for the first time
suddenly the fps is dropping and dropping until to a point at which it’s a pain to play
tried to fix it while changing from windowed fullscreen to fullscreen and playing with the graphic-settings a bit, but that didn’t help either
and then when you log out the game freezes in a still image and isn’t responding anymore

yeah, official reply would be awesome

I remember regular cost was like 1800/1000/500, not 2400/1400/1000 like it is right now started with season 3
and there was no post saying that this is going to be permanent

on elona we had round about 140 people in que for EB and 30-40 on each border for I think 2hours … unfortunately I don’t have a screenie, gonna make one next reset

Thanks to ADAC for some interesting fights in AG borderland today.
Gotta say u guys in a choke is a deathtrap, but I guess that comes with the 40-60man warrior/guardian train ^^

Just fyi, even if it looks like we’re 40-60 people at our guild raids, we’re mostly about 30-40.
Only in very very rare cases we run with more than 40 people.

It always looks like that ingame and even in the video you posted, but that’s always the case, because of the long server name, pets, minis and so on. At some points, when you look at the people and not the red names you can see, that we weren’t that many.

Nevertheless you guys weren’t as much as we were and did a very good job there.

@warr/guard train: Sadly we lack in ranged classes, mostly only about 2-4 elementalists, 2-4 necros and 2-4 mesmers and alltogether 4-6 thief, ingis, rangers during our raids. Compared to the 5-8 warrs, 5-8 guards you can really call it a meeletrain. This is our typical formation and also shows, that we’re very rarely more than 40 people. (mostly about 30-36 people)

Why so serious…you should have realized by now that exaggerating your numbers has become a running gag in the forums

And Christmas on GH garri yesterday. AM proving one more time why they were given the name Blobaddon.

I was asking myself why they are called that, cause to me it seemed a lot of servers blob. But I never saw such bad blobing as AM does and such cowardice. If they catch a small group their 60 man blob goes to any extent to kill them. If they see any serious numbers, even if less than them they turn tail and run away.

If you see a few AM actually engage in a fight is only because their zerg is just around the corner.

I was semi AFK in a bad spot (aka open field). An AM warrior tried to attack me. The moment I dodged his attack he ran away.

2 days ago I could finally enter the map after more than an hour of que
and ran across the map to close up to my guildgroup
I just wanted to avoid fights with roamers
but on my way there were 2 gunnar-guys on different spots on the map who attacked me as soon as they saw me
and every time I turned around and attacked them back
they ran away

I don’t want to highlight some skills or sth else
indeed i’m a terrible small-scale-player
I just want to highlight that abaddon is no special server in bad skills or sth like that
besides blobbing … yeah, we blob, we know

so calm down, every server has this players who feel good after beating you outnumbering you 3:1

do you just read exact the things you WANT to read?
i never said that blobbing and skilllags are our stragedy
(and if you believe it or not, the skilllags are on the whole map so EVERY server has it and we don’t want them either)
what i said is that abaddon is an event server and during our events we usually produce blobs with them (and we know that … and you guys too ^^)
the skilllags are really bad since friday
but i think it’s because every single slot in wvw is taken … on each of the 3 servers
because of the start of the league AND because of the achievements
here on abaddon are a lot of players waiting in queue over an hour at midnight (they chat in lionsarch a lot)
that’s definitively not usual

but you’re right, the skilllags were terrible :/
no single one of the abaddon community want some skillags, but they just happen

most of our players like to play against you
like gandara your guild groups are challenging to fight
and every time we recognize at reset, that we are opponents
we are thrilled to fight against TUP, VcY and DAWN again
and of course all the other good WvW-players and guilds on aurora
we know that we have a lot more wvw-players at our side
and in my opinion, the quote: “mass instead of class” fits to us
but there are a lot of hardcore wvw-players and wvw-guilds who doesn’t care about the bad name of our server and just want some good fights
and i hope that your guild-groups, your hardcore-wvw-players have some fun too against us, against that huge numbers
against our wvw-guilds, which want to stand out of the crowd ^^

i can’t answer that for the whole server
no one can
but i think every server would like to play in the silver league, if they had our position (on the edge between two leagues)

from monday onwards there are guildgroups roaming on every border
