Its all fine and dandy not to share your gearsets etc. but selling the attitude of “top elementalists have sacrificed x amount of golds and hours so we don’t share go test your own” doesn’t do you any justice and it makes you look like an elitist.Elementalist community friendly and helpfull?You mean between the “top” players?Ofc you might as well don’t give a kitten about sharing etc,then its okei i guess.

But know this,threads like these,even if entertaining,come down to just showing off.Nothing we haven’t seen before or be capable of doing.

Something spectacular in a vid would be if all these top elementalists did a 1vs1 tournament.I bet we would see some nice action then.

P.S. I believe that people should test their own builds and gears for their own good so as to really see what the differences are and not be lazy,but i would never deny someone if he/she asked for my opinion and help and i would tell him what i am running with so he/she can think the possibilities and decide what is best for them,not me.

If you wanna duel go to Obsidian Sanctum.
In WvW everything is permited.And someone doesn’t lose a fight until he/she is stomped.
He runs, he resets, he comes back and pwns you.He has won.
On the rare case that someone wants to be honorable just do the /bow but i think you all know you are bound to be interupted by enemies or allies.

I don’t see why everyone is crying all the time…Supposed nerf after supposed nerf,i can still own pretty much anything in WvW unless the opponent is more skilled than i am.(I consider myself an average pvp player that can carry his own weight)..

Proffesion is fine,stop crying and they may just leave us alone as we are,or even better make some other builds viable for you so you can feel OP once again and shut the crying.

To the OP.D/D Bunker build is what a melee fire wizard can be..your 2 strongest(attack wise) skills are Churning Earth and Fire Grab..The last one is a fire burst dmg skill…if you time it correctly and postioned properly it does loads of dmg…so there you go..Now if you want a traditional Mage-Arch Wizard-Gandalf the Grey..go staff and run with a guild..see how Meteor destroyes whole legions of blobed enemies.

Imo Elementalist in GW2 is the best version of Wizard we have ever gotten from an MMO,versatile in every magic aspect.

Why is everyone suggesting berserker when he can make a celestial set and be all around better.100% critical dmg is good no?healing a lot more hp and a LOT more armor.
My personal opinion is that you are not playing elementalist for the heavy damage.You play to provide support AND damage.

Don’t stay in fire attunement all the time.You start with fire usualy to give a fire field for might then you go Air to give a nice Static in the enemys face.Sometimes i turn to earth to give wall for extra cc and shockwave to immobilize any target my group is focusing(not to mention reflect aura for extra protection).

The best advice i can give is….DO NOT waste your your cooldowns.For example…meteor..why all elementalists have to unload at the start of the fight i do not understand.At the beggining of an engage in WvW if the enemy group is a little organised then all their groups have retaliation up.If you do a meteor on them you are most likely toasted or you will have to burn your healing cooldowns just to get yourself up.So the solution?…Wait for it.After some time retaliation will wear off and when they are close to 50% unload everything.Meteor will finish them for sure.

Also,watch your positioning..unless you are full PTV you cannot follow your commander inside an enemy zerg.Go around but be carefull not to go infront of the enemy pain train.You sualy try to go with their tail.

This story about “those of us who are top in ele class know each other” is making you look bad.Who made you the top,seriously?Unless there is an official system that can make pick apart the best of the best i don’t see why you self-claim to be one of the best.Last thing we need now is elitism.
And the fact that you are trying to defend one of your “own” doesn’t make you look any better.You asked for the kittenstorm of critisism when you claimed to be one of the best anyway.
Accept it and move on.Since you are so mighty a lil critisism from people that don’t know what they are talking about is nothing for you.

Truth be told and i am REALLY trying to be constructive here,is that the video is not something new neither is something spectacular when it comes to skill use(i ve said it again in a previous post).He is a good elementalist,he knows his class.

and there is no papper/scissor/stone.The hardcounters in this game are very few and for specific builds and circumstances.

Gandara is not stomping anything.Their night crew and morning blobs in all maps win their MU.

I was amazed at how bad their players were.Nothing near skilled or even decent.

One more thing, plz just stop with all that “%”% about bandagoners… WvW focused guilds are not the problem of Piken as random players are. Core guilds you speak about are no better then some wvw guilds that come on Piken in last few weeks (SiN, Red Guard, Nugos, Green Fire)… When any of guilds mentioned above are on the map with organized raid you can be sure that not a single “core” guild will do better job then those guilds.

Now, why they come here? Well, thats also not your problem as you don’t own Piken Square and there was a free transfer for all players. They didn’t join Desolation, SFR, VS, Elona but they come on middle tier server so… Most of those guild come down to Piken from higher tier servers…

Hello there Vulk!I see your point but you have to understand the frustration most of the “core guilds” ,as you say, are undergoing from this long que.

These guilds have put effort and time the last months to elevate Piken through the Tiers and now that the server has reached the top10 in europe the surge of new blood (which is not necessarily a bad thing) seems to be dwindling this effort.Piken was very strong even before the new guilds that you mentioned joined our little server.

I think we all agreed that we would welcome all the new guilds that were willing to cooperate in WvW with the rest of the “core guilds”. You decided to join our server.No need for hostilities.As you say we cannot control who comes and who goes.Personaly i think you and your guild are doing a fine job in BL.

As for the ques all we can do is wait and see if they are truly broken or Piken is now an ultra-full populated server.Until then,coordination and understanding are our allies.But yes!…it is clear that Piken cannot take more new blood in WvW.

Blob or no blob,i had to empty my bags 3 times yesterday

The celestial debate is a huge one.I recently made my own celestial set and i am sure i am going to regret it soon with the addition of ascended armor but here are my thoughts.

I have PVT Celestial and Knight sets.Have also run Berserker for some time.Although in the beggining a big HP pool used to save my kitten i actualy learned how to position myself in a fight.That means even a Berserker set “could” work.But is it worth it?

Imho it is not.Because if you want to live with 13k(15k with guard buff) hp you are gonna need a healway Guardian glued on you and the only way you are gonna get that is if you are in the center of the battle (which is wrong) or the poor guy is ordered to stick on you.In the scenario where you accidently nuke the enemy forces when they have retaliation up you are dead 100%.A rallybot and not usefull to your team.At least with some more HP,healing and armor that celestial gear provides you might survive the retaliation onslaught.Keep in mind that when you are fighting organised teams their thiefs will search for you and try to destroy you.Even their whole team might focus you.Having the tools to escape with staff and cantrips is good but having a decent armor so a thief does not do a 12k backstab on you is essential.

It won’t matter with the current meta.1vs1 maybe but i would never take out Ether renewal from my bar.Saved me thousands of times.Conditions will reck you without it.
