Let’s take a count of how many skills we have:
5 tool belt skills
+5 weapon skills
+5 skills from med kit
+Up to 15 skills from 3 kits in Utility
+5 skills from mortal kit in our elite
=35 skills, which we can swap to WITHOUT A(ny appreciable) COOLDOWN
Elementalist has the most with 40 skills (5 weapon + 1 heal + 3 utility + 1 elite) * 4 attunements. Though they can raise that even further with conjured weapons, but those have limited charges, expire after a limited amount of time, and have cooldowns. Tempest can add 4 more by overloading their attunements.
Heal, utility skills and elite doesnt change when u swap attunements. Misscalculation i guees. Ele has 20 weapon skills, 4 attunements (which i count as it gives boons and has to be clicked), 1 heal, 3 utility, 1 elite = 29skills not including conjured weapons and overloads.
play for fun and learn to be better, game is made to enjoy spare time
it’s unbalanced, new expansion went live. Wait a moment and it’ll get better.
So I dont really understand what are you complaining about :P
That’s a berserker’s offensive option
i built an cele one. Two different options. Cele is probably better overall atm, zerk is more fun in soloq.
10 games is a zero database for statistics. play 100 or more and if u would have ~30% win rate you can post in forum.
Let’s compare.
Power attacks can Crit (precision needed)
Condi builds may require traits that procs on crits (precision needed)
Power crits can be more effective with ferocity.
Condi dmg can be more effective with expertise.
Both can miss, be dodged, retaliated, aegised, etc.
Condition based builds may be better in longer fights, while power is here to smash burst in da faces. Strengh of a build is dependant on profession, and profession is dependant on Anet. If they want necro to be 10% better as condi it will be (10% is maybe too much it is an example). I want to say that balace between ex. condi necro and power necro is not that bad! Both build are viable in pvp which is HUGE success.
Imo these two build paths are balanced, while a profession could be not.
Back to the topic – Diamond skin isn’t op in any cases. However it is poorly designed and may decrease pleasure from playin condi builds.
Another way to do it, would be to lock kits to their specializations, rather than have it free for all. Kind of like how gyros are attached to the scrapper today.
Explosives – Granades
Firearms – Flamethrower
Alchemy – Elixir Gun
Inventions – Bombs (and bring back the bomb healing, perhaps)
Tools – Tool kitand maintain the mortar as an elite you can use across all.
Would perhaps give some incentive to get creative rather than just use the strongest skills across all. As it stands, while it works great, is just really, really dumb.
I don’t know, might be a dumb idea this too, but something.
This is an amazing idea! It is a little nerf, but it’s reasonable and suit engi well. It’s brilliant i’m in.
Reaper > Necro in all possible way. Of course i’m not saying that you have to buy it to enjoy the game. Just making it clear.
Also if u would decide to buy expansion – reaper is viable for both power and condi, and is a bit too strong. The only weakness is lack of escapes (and moa of course).
Works fine, just checked it.
