Guild Wars 2

Scildweall [ScW] World vs. World on Far Shiverpeaks, the guild consisting out of people from different parts of Europe and a few from North America who enjoy playing together and to form a well functioned and fun community, in and outside of World vs. World. We believe in openness and that everyone in the guild has a voice. That is why every member has a chance to speak his feeling about anyone who applies to join. It should be a guild decision and not the decision or desire of a few. This is the ScW way. We aim to have 40 members in total and nothing more. Of course if needed we might expand but never into any greater numbers. ScW aims to fight as underdogs against impossible odds. What this means are that we aim to fight with 15 – 25 people at events. We believe in the strength of the group instead of trust in numbers.

We don’t demand 100% representation but we do think and demand representation of the guild, for the reasons of getting to know each other and to be part of the guild. Through help from another guild we can offer all Guild Missions as well as Guild Bounty that we do one extra time each week for those that couldn’t attend during the day we do all the Guild Missions.

What we offer
A dedicated group of people who aim to improve themselves, their own play style and to progress together as a World vs. World guild. A lot of fun on our private TeamSpeak and in our channel at the public Farshiverpeak TeamSpeak. We do play together out of World vs. World as well with activities designed for laughter and to build a strong and friendly community feeling. We even have our own sPvP Arena that is set for 2 vs 2 fights. We will be holding tourneys with a small more symbolic price (this will be streamed). In the future we will be doing Guild vs. Guild, but the main goal is World vs. World.

What we expect
During World vs. Word events we expect people to have team builds, on our website you can find the builds we are using if you are a member (we are always open for a discussion about new builds). We expect you to attend the events you can, but IRL always comes first. Exotic gear or higher with stats for your profession is expected, were a specific amour value is needed. This means we don’t want full berserker players with great crit chance, dmg and power. Without survivability the previous mentioned stats are useless. If you are a member of Scildweall you are expected to follow the rules applied to everyone in the guild from leader to trial.

We are still looking for more members, we are growing and at a good rate and we are building a good and solid core of people.

On Far Shiverpeaks a new World vs World oriented guild has emerged, with the focus on team play in the size of 15 – 25 during our 5 official events each week (this is something that will be implemented when we have enough members to get a good and valid setup). This guild/community is named Scildweall [ScW]. The name comes from what the English inhabitants called the invading Viking battle formation for.

We do not feel the need of limiting you to only be representing [ScW] even though we require you to represent when doing events with us. This is done for the reason that we do not have any official PvE events. We do of course encourage our members to represent the guild as much as possible, with the sole purpose of that it is easier to build a strong community if you play together.

We aim for 35 – 40 members in total to a start, “we rather be a lion during our events then a lamb who trusts in numbers”. With this we mean that we aim at fighting in the size of 15 – 25, this has nothing to do with other guilds and is not meant to point fingers to any other guild who runs with higher numbers, nor does it imply that they only trust in their numbers (it’s just a saying).

We are at this moment recruiting all profession since we have just started to recruit to build up our core.

Good luck all hope we will have a fun week

First of all thanks for a fun match up, I hope that other servers like that FSP can put up some resistance has been a great week have had so many good fights. Think silver league will be an interesting league to be in. To GH and UW hopefully we see both of you in silver league and that all servers will have a good match up at reset and some
lovely and fun fights.

Lastly must say that I love the warrior guild on GH with the name W A R B A N N ER.

It is true that Kale and Punk often run on the same borderland, but for reset we were on different maps and as for yesterday at prime time, Kale was jumping maps but when we are needed we will fight together with Punk or any other FSP guild(s). This all comes from that we have for several months not had the numbers that we have now, to get a border to our color Punk and Kale have moved there together. One going for Bay one for Hills etc. What might seem as a “blob” is actually when it comes to Punk and Kale about 2 groups in the numbers of 15 – 25 each (sometimes more). But you will see the same with GoT, DW; SOUL, AoA, RiOT etc, if a guild needs help the other guilds will come and back them up, but only to the point when needed. I am one of the people leading Kale at our WvW events on a daily basis and if help is not called on by us or by guilds asking us for help we will go do our own thing. As it is now we usually only have a few guilds that are actually tagged up, else it is more or less guild groups running around. I am proud of what FSP has become we have risen from almost reaching rock bottom, with guilds leaving and a lot of drama. Now it feels like everyone fights for each other.

To the guilds who have moved to FSP I will any day help each of you if needed and I will be the first to welcome you to the FSP family.

Ps. I really enjoy fighting organized guilds so this week brings at least me a lot of joy, I hope the same goes to most FSP, UW or GH player in WvW.

Of course we will come and save Punk if we see that they are fighting against a too big of a group, you expect guilds to help each other. The team chat and /w on our home border went like crazy since GH did some good pushes for different targets. On the second picture if I recall its just 2 Kale people why not post how 20ish Kale are running around having movement training against 2 larger guild groups who even built AC’s on the hill south of Briar? Sure we build some as well later in the fight when there was a small pause, just enjoy that there is a nice match up.

One more time thanks to the GH guilds enjoy fighting you guys and girls. It is forcing our guilds to really talk with each other.

Thanks to TEO and FURY (those fields :P) had some really nice fights against you guys and INC aswell and the other guilds on GH, some really nice fights tonight. We ended it by fighting outside Briar for a good couple of minutes.

Well first off, if this was true then how come during prime time yesterday we had the highest tick or a tick equal to GH? And if everyone fought as good as one of our commanders who is a girl then you would have had even less point.

Keep it friendly guys and be happy that FSP can give you a fight now a days and dont get stomped on like in the last match up we had against you.

FSP have guilds groups who work very well together atm, you can chose either fight one guild and loose a keep etc.

A big envy good work and high five to Fury you guys and girls really have a nice hammer train.

As said Riot has joined the ranks of FSP and I have enjoyed every moment when one has been able to talk to them, we are a welcoming community that have worked on how we act towards each other and now have a nice tone towards each other, guilds are trying to work together in WvW. Would like to see more guilds giving FSP a try.

We are rebuilding and the ground is forged, we have an active public TeamSpeak that is used by several guilds for both WvW and other activities. As late of the last couple of weeks we have had new WvW oriented guilds emerge on the server.

If you are interested in moving to FSP give the people in the first post (or any other for that matter) a /w or mail and at least give FSP a thought if your guild (or you yourself) is thinking of moving to a new server.

1 function for 1 key is what is stated, simply because they don’t want insane combo’s by just 1 key stroke. When it comes to using it as a text command as you stated I would suspect it is in the gray zone but still “OK” simply since it doesn’t give you a huge advantage. The funniest thing about macro’s is that the “official keyboard” for guild wars 2 has macro functions on it.

It is a good idea the problem is that if they removed so you can only attack a gate with siege you would get even bigger zergs or even blobs. Simply because the amount of supplies that would be needed would require more numbers in form of players. Since as it is now you can put down a ram and use waterfields and blasts to be able to survive and therefore take down a tower with a smaller amount of people

As stated by Pejot this is not a zoom hack, they are simply just tilting their camera in an angle so they can hit those locations, and as previously stated if the AC is placed at the correct spot you can shoot the siege inside by having your mouse cursor in the gap between the arch of the gate hole and the gate itself. (This is something that is used by most guild groups, that is why the ac’s appear to be placed at mostly the same place)

You can even if you want change the resolution of your screen to achieve a different angle for your camera without, even if it can be condisered to be in the “gray zone”. The most common zoom hack was to my knowledge when SAB (super adventure box) was here the first time and your camera would be at a further distance then what it usually is, but this was fixed by ANet.

First of all thanks to UW and DZ for a nice week I hope we will fight similar if not the same servers next week.

Secondly, Punk and Kale are running heavy team builds so no point in trying to fight a roamer when you are trying to catch up to your group/guild. If you are a roamer and want to do that then please do but don’t get upset if people try to get to their group instead of fighting you. And we sure do go for T3 towers.

On a lot of forums people are talking about why they are not playing WvW as much as they did before, some of the reasons are:

1. Bloodlust ruined it we do not fight on equal terms anymore even in a 20 vs 20 fight.
2. Servers with a high WvW population will win even more and get less restistance from medium or low populated WvW servers, because of the match up and the bloodlust.
3. Some servers seem to try to keep their position because of the league system.
4. Lag issues and random d/c
5. Lets kill TQ.

I like the new content in form of the landscaping, but sadly the bloodlust is to strong. A lot of players thought like me that it would be tied to “1” borderland only, but not as it is now when a server can have 150 points more in every stat, just to give an example that is 1500 more in health etc. It is hard to find motivation to fight guilds that you know you would have a chance against “IF” it wasnt for that bloodlust.

I wish they would remove the bloodlust and change it to give a bit more wxp and/or magic find because that isnt game breaking as this is.

The problem with the buffs is that it promotes people to play on servers with a high population in WvW, imo the buff shouldn’t be as huge as it is. It is game breaking, I wish it was tied to 1 border, so one server would only have 50 points more on that border. If a server like AG (good job on keeping those btw) with guilds like TUP, DAWN, VcY etc those guilds or even an AM zerg will just run through what they are up against. As I see it make it give u a bit more wxp, or magic find instead of something that is basicly destroying matchups were not all 3 servers have their own buff for most of the time.

If u need a new home for your guild, then FSP has a lot to offer!

Lets just end this flame war, FSV left their choice, end of story, stop triggering each other.

Well for one thing it doesnt help to be a “Forum Warrior”, the server is far from dead, if you would have looked into it a bit more you would have seen that more guilds are getting into WvW, some are starting up their WvW after the summer. We can fight against organized servers we just cant fight against the amount of players that the other servers have in this matchup. Instead of saying how bad the server you play on is, try to make it into something better. Get people you know to strike team for the commander that is tagged up and for the server.

As Qla said AoA is a great open guild who will give people a good solid ground to start their WvW journey. We got GoT, AoA, Kale, Punk, DW etc that do run events and I know for a fact that some other guilds are organizing themselves. We need to inspire and to encourage people not to show us from our worst side.

Sure we have lost some people who have moved to other servers, which is a great loss as guilds, as players and fellow farshiver peak players. But We do not need people to say that we are “dead” when the server is slowly moving towards the light.

Ps. If some guild on our server that wants to get more organized into WvW and have a core of players, I am sure there are plenty of players they can turn to. If your guild got any questions please ask for help if you feel that you need it.

Was a fun week, sadly one server felt like using 6 Omega Golems every night and liked to blob almost as much as Blobbadon. But anyway good luck to all in the comming week and RoF we will proboboly see you guys in the bronze league.

This match up is coming on an end, I hope we all will have more fair match ups the comming week. Anyway thanks to RoS and AG. Had some really nice fights with my guildies this week.

We are an international community and are looking for guilds who wants to rebuild the server and take it up to its former glory, we do have a good core of players both in WvW oriented guilds like Punk, AoA, Kale (sorry if I did not mention your guild). The problems the last couple of weeks is that we have gone up against 1 server and not 2.

Hopefully some guilds feel like moving to FSP that as it looks now will be fighting for the win in the bronze league, when leagues are introduced.

Was a fun evening night on RoS border, we had some rly nice fights.

Also thanks to Dawn for the practise GvG.

Was some really nice fights against AG today/tonight on EB, really enjoyed it.

Big thanks to the Charr warrior/guardian in cultural armor that tried to get up the wall and down to his people when he or she bugged through the inner gate at FSP Keep on EB.

Hope for a more balanced match up next week and mostly a match up were there are a 3 server fight, this is the 4th week in a row that FSP has played against more or less one server. Kudos though to RoS for trying and working with the population they still have around.

Want to thank Fury, TEO and the other GH guilds, had some really nice fights over the week that is almost over.

Ok since yesterday after 11 am I am getting “A serious error has occured that prevents the program from continuing to run…..”

I have done several check disks, Ive updated drivers, gone back to old drivers etc and this still occurs. Downloaded and installed a clean copy of both gw2 and drivers. I rly hope someone can help and tell me what the problem might be.

this is what it says is the problem, hopefully anyone know what I need to do to fix it.

You got to give credit to the other two servers, it is sad that so many players from FSP only come out and fight when we are able to do to others what Blobbadon from blobsterville do. I hope that all will stay fo the comming weeks.

I rly hope that we that are in the lead this week can stop with the blobbing and go for more group size groups. And take this week to try and get better at roaming and doing more small scale instead of one massive blob. As for me I wont command for the entire week (but ofc if something happens I will always be there if needed), I will do smaller scale team fights and wkth guildies and anyone else that wants to join.. Hopefully we can still have some nice fights since I have seen some great guilds on the other two servers.

So plz fellow FSP stop blobbing, and lets try to do the best of what is left of this match up.

Well since none of us even knew u could get banned for helping a friend, how could be know that u should use the guild bank/vault.

A friend of mine was banned for helping me create an item, I sent him all the materials and when he sents the item back he gets banned. The bot that u have that bans people should be able to keep track of what has happen and not perma ban someone for not doing anything wrong. How come it didnt ban me then for sending him 250 Glob of Ectoplasm and some other of the items?

After the resent updates with the new content including guesting and a limitation to the world events the servers have started to become almost unplayable. This is due to the fact that people do their world events on their home server and then guest other servers and do the same events. The servers simply cant handle the pressure as it seems. It is a great idea that you can only do the world events 1 time per character and day. But the problem is as Skogholm has stated the amount of players at each event is to high. Below I will give some examples of what I have noticed today:
Mega Destroyer wouldn’t start the count down due to the massive amount of people and sometimes he didn’t even take any dmg.

Tequatl didn’t take any dmg and he kept doing fears that made u lag like if u were reading a comic book. He then stopped taking any dmg again and then all of the sudden he was dead and people barley manage to get silver.

Claw of Jormag was even worth, no walls protecting him at start they game up much later, again the dragon appears as if he takes no dmg and manage to kill a lot of players attacking him. At the last phase he was even worse, no one could attack him even when he was vulnerable.

I think its great that you can only do a dragon a certain amount of times during a 24 hour window, but why not make it so that it is not only server side but also account side? That way the massive lagspikes which takes us back to release of the game wont occur. Or perhaps people should be in need of an invite or something to guest an other server? Because as it is now the game is almost unplayable. And people are attacking the world event bosses but they do not get any loot or chests from them.
Plz fix this….
