I do apologize beforehand if there was already a topic of a sort, which I did not found, or if there is something I do not completely understand about the issue, tho I do believe I do understand it enough.

Certain enemies in LS3 maps are extremely overscaled for that little amount of players sometimes around them.
I’ll give an example of the issue I had today with that:
Siren’s Landing – the event for the Fountainhead. We were 3 players there, I am a good 99% sure there wasn’t anyone around. But despite us being only 3, 2 Elite Veteran Magma Elementals spawned and dunno how many random mobs/normal Veteran Magma Elementals. The Elite ones specifically had an SUPREME amount of HP and their damage, when it hits (pretty much like the staff 2 of ele as ability, an aoe magma circle on the ground), does nearly enough to down you right away, unless u are some good tank or so. Took us nearly 20 mins to finish the event, more or less cuz of these elites.
I do heard that on some of the other LS3 maps there were Bloodstone champions that were way too overscaled aswell.
I do hope this issue gets noted, especially for world content – random grouping doesnt always consist of skilled-great-build players, and even if it does – with that scaling doing certain events is just tedious.

Should LW progress be account based?

Especially seeing as how it can be replayed, as it grows larger it becomes more and more daunting to have to play through it with new characters. It sort of seems like progress should be tied to account rather than character.

Account based story would kill replayability for it, story is already cut in lots of sections so anyone can start mid-way or even newest part only if they want to not do the older parts.
I’d say they’ll have to find a way to make a big portion of the only social parts skippable for the sake of less tedious repeated experience because after the first 2-3 times story is no longer interesting to see/hear but rather get the loot and the satisfactory feeling of having it completed faster.

This post needs more attention. I do hope ANET gives it. Unskippable 2-4 mins talking sessions which are exactly the same are nothing more than annoying after the first 2-3 times.

Wouldn’t explain the same people night after night across both my guild and the other major guilds on my server. It takes 8 hrs to fill a reward track, these guys…the 90% of wvw population, are logging 3+hrs a night for atleast 5 days a week…that’s a minimum of 15hrs or almost 2 tracks filled. So this info is bogus

I was clearly speculating, have some simple sense. No one aside Anet can give us clear statistics. But really – since the track system appeared in WvW (more particulary the changes to gift of battle) the population grow, and NOT because they LIKE WvW, but simple because almost every regular player at some point of time wants to craft himself a legendary. This is actually my only complaint. Anet must add ways to get that gift without going to that game mode (like some crafting in mystic forge for pve or track in structured pvp). If that happens lets see how the population will stand. I’ll tell u how – the same as before the track system changed – veeery low, limited to only these “major guilds” that wonna have big aoe spam fests alongside here and there newbies curious about what WvW is at all.

I’ll be honest – I experienced pretty much the same as OP and after a while I never stepped in WvW again. Tho the same way pvp players hate pve noobs in their game modes, the same way pve players hate pvp players in their game modes. And being forced to do something pvp for the sake of pve or the opposite is gonna keep bringing unhappy players until fixed, or never fixed and be remembered as a massive negative.
If you wonna play basketball you don’t go to a football field do you?

No disrespect, im stating an opinion…cuz nowdays everyone are triggered in a single letter.

Perhaps your perception is server based because on my server we have roamers, small skirmish groups, havoc groups and not tagged 10-25 person guild groups all hours and blob tags from Asian players in am and 2-5 NA tags during pm prime time and I can safely say 80% of players I see are from about 8 guilds that have consistent presence in wvw even when not in guild raids or zerg. I can 100% promise you that if I log on at any hour that my guild has atleast 10 members in wvw and we usually max out around 70 members of our 498 members in wvw at prime hours (we are pvx). With that said…putting in 4-5 hrs average per day in wvw 7 days a week, that I very very rarely witness a nonguilded player (1 in 100/150 players) and as I said 80% are 8 or so guilds which leaves 20% pugs who could be in wvw for gift of battle…but again…remember…and I stress….it takes 8 hrs to get the gift of Battle, which makes these 20% odd guild WvW players highly unlikely to be gift of Battle track chasers if they spend more than 3-4 session in wvw.

Perhaps you’re in some kind of weird time zone for your server or your server just has a horrible wvw population but this doesn’t compute with how my server runs.

We have that dedicated Asian guild that runs tag in eastern time zone mornings and I can tell you that even when we are red bottom of matchup team, that often the Asian guild stomps one of the other team when they are on becuase of lack of player presence for the other team in those hours. Hell, atleast the last 3 Thursday mornings I’ve been able to sneak in an hour of wvw before work, they have 3 tiered smc, taken an enemy keep in ebg and atleast 1 keep (usually hills) in enemies bl and that’s when we are outmatched by outnumbered in pm prime time. Additionally we are outnumbered on 1-2 bl every night and we get a queue on ebg nightly and often in home bl, we also almost always have a tag in dbbl when we aren’t red so people who talk about no one playing dbbl I always felt that was odd too. Again, perhaps your server doesn’t wvw? Low low tier?

And you missed my point, I generally don’t care how many players play WvW I want an out-of-wvw option for my gift of battle and I will never care at all to step there. I dislike the idea of trying to bring pve players in pvp zones. And if u are playing on NA server – only normal, americans are mostly playing pvp games, i rarely see any non-european to play a pve game.

The name of this game is GUILD WARS not INDIVIDUAL WARS.

If u wanna go roam and get ur reward tracks done, go to PVP

or get good and beat em.

Why are u asking for a same treatment when u didn’t do nothing. No pain no gain yo.

i don’t understand why so many newbies complain about how veterans outplay them.

Well here’s the thing – “git gud” way that u are talking about is not as easy as it is for these so called “veterans” which are playing most likely since the very start of the game and had a slow proper learning curve which atm is impossible for new players as they get straight into hardmode oneshot by thieves or pmesmers (or sorta style roamers) without even getting a chance to apply some kind of skill based combat.
And on the topic of rewards – im 100% sure over 90% of ppl that go to WvW are actually pve players that want to get their Gift of Battle and get out of there. And since u can get that only and only from WvW they have no choice. Its just another thing that anet is trying to force pve players get into, that they do not want to, but is part of their otherwise full pve experience. Or simply put – im sure no pve player would ever miss WvW if they put Gift of Battle aquireable from some pve source (dungeon, meta events etc etc).

As for our fella that tried to get into WvW – its been like that from start. Its not gonna change. Just play some other mode, don’t waste your time with it.

This event is still bugged. Ulfred’s conversations are as if the event is active but there is no active event at all and its not restarting.

Do you guys really like the skins actually? I for myself don’t care at all about these particular skins as I just find em typical no-effects/special looks BL weapon skins. My only concern is that such accound bound skins would become a regular practice and I hope it will not as I usually use my tickets to buy/gift skins for my friend and as they are account bound my only way to help would be to buy tons of keys and thats hundreds of gold which I would’ve rather use on direct purchase from TP or direct pirchase from wepon skins vendor if I have a ticket.
As I said earlier – I don’t care about these skins, but please no more account bound stuff like that. It does not make the them special – it makes them limited by possibilities. On the 3 out of the 4 types of players – massive gold grinders (ye, there are some that literally have tens of thousands of gold), real money gem buyers (tho a bit conflicted) and ofcourse the RNG favored (not by someone, just by default, luck is luck). The 4th type – casual players that just do 1-2 runs SW a day/week or get other decent profits by dungeons, other maps, w/e, will be unable to get em or unable to recieve em as a gift cuz " skins too specia " ….plz no more of this.

I don’t understand this forum at all. When they nerfed Chest farming by ~40%, no one batted an eye. They trim one reward off a single event, and people flip out.

SW events/meta is fun to do.

Chest farming isn’t fun to do.

Nerfing SW, which doesn’t need a nerf anymore after the HoT map reward buffs which made them all as rewarding kitten doesn’t make any sense. What makes even less sense is nerfing SW NOW when AB is being multi-looted and didn’t get nerfed. Everyone is doing AB now, why would you nerf SW when it’s not even the best gold/hour or an exploit or anything? SW didn’t need any changes.

I’m baffled.

I’m thinking it has to do with making AB the best loot spot. Because people who were farming SW that don’t have HoT will now need to buy HoT if they want the best loot. It’s a stretch, but I wouldn’t put it past Anet. They are acting rather desperate as of late.

I have HoT and I don’t like any of the new zones AT ALL. Be it VB AB TD (I only like DS a bit but only once in a week or so). If they are taking out that big chunk of the SW rewards then they are potentially killing the map, and fast at that.

Can we please get an option to turn off the search bar in inventory? I do not remember ever using it at all and it only gets in my way when I wonna compact or deposit. Please add a function to disable it.

The LFG system

Since release of SW I couldn’t help but notice that anet is really focusing on making big grind-based maps. I’m fine with that, unlike many players I actually enjoy grinding.
For hours and hours I do these meta events that require minimum 25+ players over and over. For these who do not know tho, after meta event ends, it takes a while until another one starts, so unless you’ve got an extremely big and dedicated guild willing to help each other constantly, you’ll be forced to use the LFG system.

Yeah, the system works but it has 3 major flaws! (AJ show’s DD review anyone?)

1st - Why is there no separate slots for each of these grind maps in the LFG tab. I’m not talking about every map having its own slot, I’m talking about maps that have a constant traffic – Silverwastes especially, Dry Top (?) and now the new HoT maps even more for the fact that they have a hero points that are hardly soloable.(I’m not inculding world bosses as their events are daily and appear only at certain times of the day)

2nd - The unability to join another party for inbetween 2-20mins after you have joined 2-3 in a row. I do not believe this should honestly exist, as for the fact that it never existed in other online games I’ve played and is a restriction I find unnecessary. I’m pretty sure there’s a good arguement that can be set on here for why it should exist, which I don’t know about, but then again I believe it will still be far from acceptable. And its a big bummer having this. Why? I’ll tell you.

3d - The biggest and most important reason in my opinion. The map full error. Jesus Christ. I’m a student. After exams I get a lot of free time (if I pass them all that is..) so I can afford spending 4-12 hours of grinding daily, and I have to go to LFG, find a map, right click on the person that created the party in LFG and join the map (its stupid, give us proper button for this too ffs) just to see the famous 33:9.17:1535:101 map full error.
PLZ GIVE US SOMETHING! Something that will allow us to see the amount of players in the map (percentage, specific count, I don’t care) so players will stop creating LFG parties while their map is full, and players who’s map desperately need more to notice and create such.

So while staring at the LFG tab, hoping to see a party for your specific map/event, getting in such just to see the that the map is full, and then being unable to join another party for 20min, then this LFG system is enough to drive anyone INSANE!

No disrespect intended, I just think that since anet are creating more and more content requiring quantity based organizing, its important to make the LFG system more available and easy to use by adding few small touches that will make the overall experience way more enjoyable. You know how they say, that one grain of rice can make the whole meal delicious, right?

I do not know how many of these issues have been raised before, and I couldn’t find a topic, so excuse me for the long post.

No need to restart game or windows.

Another bugged achievement

Did explorable mode Mursaat Path today. Didn’t got checked after i recieved the 1g and 20s reward.Basically the achievement itself shows if I haven’t done it at all. I assume not just a visual bug, but look into it please.
Also I have pretty clean memory that I did it before but I didn’t cared as much, because right now its only that one path and p4 of arah for dungeon master for me. Please some attention to achievements Anet.
A friend of mine got the expansion, almost 10k AP, told him he should do some achievements to hit 10k easily instead just dailies, she said " I’d love to do some story achievements from the HoT new ones, too bad most of them dont work."

Any bug fixed is much appreciated.

Good job noticing this Cerpin.
So apparently the pet F2 ability is bugged so practically, the trait itself works like this:
F2->pet ability+trait activates→F2 in CD (therefore the trait does not activate)
But atm “F2 in CD” part is missing. Simplifyng…kinda.
So the pet F2 is bugged, not the trait.

Title says it all. Not even GCD. This is gamebreaking for pvp (and for pve i’d assume at some point) because I use raven for pvp and I can basically blind my enemies to infinity.
Please fix it soon.

Will we get Hexed outfit back through a vendor somehow? I’d love to get it. And, no,plz do not give us “we will put it in gem store for 800gems” crap plz. I’m already highly demotivated to buy HoT cuz I have to spend 20 bucks more just for a single bonus character slot (and yeah, a bunch of other utterly useless stuff) so I’m just gonna wait for a 50%-75% sale on the standard xpack and will keep collecting gold for character slots (which ofcurse go on -1% less sale once in a century), so I’d like atleast to not have to grind 200g for the Hexed outfit cuz I’ve already grinded those special currency candy.

I tried everything,including this power options→high performance trick.Nothing worked for me at all.I feel no difference even if there is any.

I play on Blacktide EU,and on some maps I simply CAN’T PLAY,especially around the hours you pointed.Not to mention the low fps issues that are still “up to date”.And yeah,I tried many ways to fix fps,but can’t do anything about lag.So..lag+low fps…I don’t know how long it’ll be before I get tired of all this.
