I just read earlier today that the 310.61 drivers were released for Nvidia cards. I have a 560 TI and am using 306.97 at the moment. Has anyone used the new drivers and if so, are they any good?

I dont think I want to mess with the Nvidia settings, I want to keep them on default. I am happy just as long as the FPS I am getting is perfectly normal.

My brother has a GTX 460 and a Core i5 2500k and he gets approximately the same FPS as me. There is difference in spots where I get higher FPS like the Norn area. e.g I will have 100 FPS and he might have 90. In LA though, we both get about 30-35 at that spot near the Mystic Forge.

I was wondering if the FPS I am getting is normal for my specs:

560 Ti
Core i5-2400 @ 3.4 (Turbo)
4GB DDR3 RAM
nVidia 306.97 Drivers

Here is my FPS with graphics settings in a specific spot in LA:

Hello all,

I am getting approximately between 30-50 fps averaging around 38-40 fps in Lions Arch on a GTX 560 Ti and a Core i5 2400 @ 3.1GHZ. I run on best appearance. Is this normal and can someone give me a comparison with their system?

I run 2 Times an MSI R HD 6850 Cyclone 1GB DDR5 Low FPS

From what I have heard, and judging purely based on the evidence from Toms Hardware’s Guild Wars 2 CPU benchmarking research, I believe it would be your AMD CPU.

I am not implying that your CPU is bad or not performing as it should do, but solely blaming ANet for their lack of support for the wide variety of PC components.

Here is a link to the benchmark from Tom’s Hardware, it might give you a bit more of an idea of what I am getting at: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/guild-wars-2-performance-benchmark,3268-7.html

Hi all,

When I enter WvW, my FPS is fine around 50-60 FPS on best appearance, but when I get closer to a battle and into the battle in front of a gate, my FPS will drop to about 25-30. Changing settings from best appearance to best performance only gives about a 5 FPS increase for example. Also, I was playing with my brother who has a GTX 460 and a Core i5 2500k and he was getting about 10-15 more FPS than me in these situations. I also tracked my CPU usage and GPU usage while this was happening, and saw that one CPU core was around 50% and the other 4 were hovering around 40 in this battle while getting like 25 FPS ! My GPU usage scales down with FPS, usually around 25 percent in a WvW zerg and 99 percent when I am getting around 100FPS or more.

My specs:

GTX 560 TI
Core i5 2400 @ 3.4 GHZ
4GB DDR3 RAM
Z77 motherboard
Win 7 64 Bit

Nvidia 306.23 drivers.

Can someone give me any suggestions or solutions? Thanks.

Any other opinions

Is this a Graphical error; drivers? or a Game issue?

STOOO, is your performance okay? What is your average FPS in the Human/Charr/Asura zones and at what setting?

On best appearance settings, @ 1600×900 res, I get around 35-60 FPS (average 45) in the Charr, Human, Sylvari and Asura Areas (it can spike up to around 80 or 100 but not too often depending on the exact spot), and I average around 85 FPS in the Norn area. In a WvW battle for example, I will get approximately 20-35 FPS. In addition, if I am in a spot where I am getting 110 FPS or so, I will have 99% GPU usage but if I am in WvW getting 20FPS usage will be around 30%. Why is this?
My specs:
Core i5 2400 – (Turbo boosted to 3.8 GHZ)
GTX 560 TI
4GB DDR3
Asus Z77 Chipset Motherboard.
Nvidia Driver Version: 306.23
Any opinion on whether this performance is okay or not is appreciated.

Sawgrim, what resolution do you use? And the page in your nvidia settings, called “Adjust image settings with preview”, what is that set to?

If you stand just outside of divinitys reach portal, and look out to the view at Shaemoor, with best appearance on, what do you notice in FPS? I find it is quite demanding. And I will try that LOD

SAGE, you have a nice system there. By the sounds of that horrific performance, it could be something gone wrong with the placement of the graphics card, or the speed that the PCI-E port is running at. Go to this link: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2157/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.6.4.html, download the program, and when you run it, look for the spot that says bus interface and tell me what it says.

Even in Asura starting area you get 60 constant? I didn’t think it was possible. What server you on? Also, would you be able to turn the best appearance preset on, go to LA and run around and see what your lowest and average is for me? I like a good comparison

When you are posting about getting 60+FPS all the time, as Sawgrim did, you have to make sure that you have been to most of the regions in the world before saying ‘everywhere’ or ‘all the time’. For instance, on my GTX 560 TI I get constantly 70-120 FPS on max settings in the norn areas, however, 35-70 FPS in asura, human and charr areas. It varies greatly. In LA, I get around 35-45 FPS on average with my system. Sawgrim, I can almost guarantee you that you won’t get 60FPS everywhere with high settings and 1600×900 or higher resolution. What you are saying is most likely untrue. Please be realistic…
