My PC can run every other game just fine. Crysis 2, Bioshock 2, WoW, Orcs Must Die 2, etc etc..My PC NEVER crashes when I’m not playing GW2. It consistently crashes within 1minute to 30minutes of GW2 use.
It’s clearly a GW2 issue. Obviously there is something on my system that GW2 does not like…but again, that’s an Anet problem, not mine.
@umnik: I did try that. It didn’t work =(
I’ve posted all the technical details about my problem, so I won’t bore anyone with that. Having tried everything I can possibly think of, and then having it still crash. I’m left with no alternative to quit GW2. The game is sending me bananas.
Has anyone else been driven to this because of the persistent technical problems?
I’m curious.

I just want some more information from ArenaNet. There’s clearly an issue for a lot of nvidia users. I can fully appreciate launch problems with any major mmo, but some info regarding the problem would go a long way…

Nvidia 306.02 drivers here high FPS no crashes.

Is there a fix in sight? This is becoming a joke. Why should I log on when I know for certainty that my game will crash within 30 mins? And I am clearly not the only one. The forums are filled with players experiencing identical issues.
After posting Crash Reports, DxDiags, and the logs from anet Advisor thing….most people are told that they need to update drivers. It’s not an issue with our PCs when every other game works. It’s a GW2 issue.
No news has been released on the issue other than to say ‘we know’ and no fix appears to be coming any time soon.
I’m tempted to just give my game to someone else.
Deeply frustrated…

I’m only level 32, but I’d like to do some sPVP with my Engineer. When I get thrown in, the weapon that I’m handed is a rifle. But when I’m levelling and doinf WvW. I play with Dual Pistols.
How can I switch to Dual Pistols with my Level 32 Engineer in sPVP?
Well. I guess I’ll install some drivers.

@ Grizzle – Are you able to attach a DxDiag report? The “Out of Memory” crash error that I am seeing in your crash report may actually be a known issue. I will need to see a DxDiag report to verify this. To run a DxDiag test, please perform the following:
1. Press and hold the Windows key and then press the R key on your keyboard. A Run dialogue box should appear.
2. Type in “dxdiag” without the quotes, and click OK.
3. A DirectX Diagnostic Tool window will appear. Click on the “Save All Information” button at the bottom of this window. You will want to save the file to your desktop.

Yea. I’m experiencing a very similar problem. I’ve sent off the error reports.
Hoping this doesn’t persist because it really is beginning to frustrate me.
