I purchased some gems from the store, the transaction appeared to go through, but I have not received the gems. It’s been a couple hours… is this normal? I read somewhere that it was normally about 15 mins or so.

I have an Asura and a Charr, both female, and rather than squabbling like this they sit around exchanging recipes.

Which is quite odd, because it’s my Norn ranger (also female) who’s the chef.

If ArenaNet suffered a security breach the damage would be widespread. They’ve nothing to gain and much to lose from covering up such a low number of a accounts compromised.

So I played GW 1 at release of the core game and only for about 3 months. Never played any of the expansions. So I have a LOT of catching up to do.

Wooden Potatoes lore videos are nice but there is so much lore that to take it in all at once makes my head spin.

Question: Are the GW novels well written or are they targeted at younger readers? Contemplating picking one up but not sure I want to do that if the writing is too simplistic.

How does the writing in the GW books compare to say… the Wheel of Time or the Song of Ice and Fire series?

Fishing. Every MMORPG should have fishing. Loved fishing in WoW… err back at release, anyway; not sure if it has changed much as I haven’t played for years.

Going to add to this; the game is great and really does feel like a next generation MMO to me.

I don’t get to play it as often as I like but when I do it is very enjoyable. Also glad to see ArenaNet taking an aggressive stance against bots, gold sellers, and other hackers- too many games have been ruined by those things. Glad GW2 is determined not to be one of them.

I’m a total noob that just figured out last night that mining copper ore gives in general more xp than killing a mob sometimes.

Will be doing more of this.

Hello everybody!

I’m a very new player looking for a casual guild to join.

Preferably one that is active but doesn’t have a lot of rules and regulations to follow. I work full time and have a family so I’m not usually on during the week and most of my playtime is slated for the weekend at night. I am in the Eastern Time zone (GMT -05:00).

I am not big into RP, myself, but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest (I’ve played a lot of table top RPGs). I may even play along, heh, anything is possible. Used to RP a lot back in the Ultima Online & EverQuest days.

Just basically looking for a bunch of people to hang out and play GW2 with; everything else is cake.

I’ve only been playing Guild Wars 2 for about 5 days and solo.

I try to revive whenever possible. First for the xp but also in the hopes that the revived will return the favor heh. My experience so far has been a good one. (Only been playing a few days)
