Great matches and thanks for uploading them, but what happened to the audio/mic quality. And why only in 720p?
If the hobo sack is ever banished, a tiny part of me will actually be sad. This thread has been a part of my life now for a few years now, I think I might actually miss it.
Don’t worry. It’s been two years and they haven’t even started yet let alone an eta. I think we will all be able to enjoy this thread for a long time.
Future news headlines:
“First man on mars and anet fixed hobo sacks”
My guess would be that ^ that statement means “we will ban ppl that are exploiting it”. :P
I’d guess that if they meant that they’d have said that. This bug is getting a lot of exposure. They’d have to ban a lot of people.
this is correct, they need to put out a blanket statement saying that they will punish those that are using the exploit
This!
Anet simply must make a practical statement that activly exploiting this kind of bug will have consequences
There sems to be some kind of clipping error with the gloves of madness and my Charr. The gloves “vanish” into the lover arms, or are they supposed to look like that?
Had a glimpse at it in the morning, the reference plugin is a bit of an overkill, but it looks fairly simple. Feel free to share your work wish me anytime
As a little side questions is GW2 only mapping your characters position or also those of your teammates? Because as far as I can see every single player needs to adjust the other players relative to him, so you would otherwise need to share the positions between the players.
The original Mumble idea sound great and should also be possible for TeamSpeak3 and Ventrilo using the position data.
A TS3 plugin should be relatively easy using its 3d-sound toolset in the TeamSpeak3 plugin API and I believe there is a similar thing for Ventrilo.
I’m definitely going to look into i when I get the time. Finaly no more conversations like:
I’m downed. Where. Here. Where is Here. Here!
I’m currently writing a overlay for GW2, using the api. The overlay will open similar to steam overlay on pressing a hotkey and its purpose is simply to provide the user wish some useful information such as current events in his/her area, a more customized auction house search and an in-game web browser.
My question now is regarding the method of creating the actual interface. My basic idea was to detour the EndScene using ether a custom d3d9.dll og using a global hook (something in the direction of SetWindowsHookEx). But to do this I would interfere with the actual game, although i’m not changing the game itself.
Am I allowed to do such a thing or do I need to find a different solution like a “Xorg-ish” kind of approach aka creating another window which is getting focus on hotkey.
