This is what you get when you constantly push out new content: crap. Anet want us to farm karka shells and pay 2g to look like a Noob? We can transmute ofc, if you can buy crystals, which cost allot… smart move Anet!
When I look around on the internet allot of people are disappointed!

Sometimes it doesn’t work for me either. But that’s because it’s overloaded or something.
So does it never works or sometimes (randomly for an hour or something?).
I have same problem, going to try this fix when I get home.
I am talking about minor issue’s (for example: the bird glitch). If they just told us that they aware of it and going to fix it then I’m happy. Now we are left in the dark. I find it absurd and I hope they going to look into it.
Btw: Robert Walter was a moderator only for mac . All his posts are in the mac sub forum. I think they just pulled the plug on support for Mac.

How complex is it to find a moderator for the mac forum or someone who keeps is up to date on the progress?
Where did he go to? He suddenly disappeared and left this forum in the dark.
I want some more support for Mac. It’s been beta for ages now. We don’t get any help anymore, no news, no updates (bug fixes). ZERO support for mac. Seems that at launch they were being awesome, now they got all the money out of it they abandon us.
This says allot about the company!
Search for it on the forums. There are more threads about these glitchy birds!

I made a ticket about this issue. They really abandon us. I think the mac version will be beta for ever and we will never see another mac patch again.
Want this feature too, but they stopped helping mac people since they got all the money out of us they could get.
Same here … please fix.
We need more information about your Mac, so please post your specs.
Also try disabling depth blur and see if that makes any difference?
I don’t use PowerPC applications.
So upgrading software gives me a better graphics driver support for OpenGL? Still sounds like me upgrading software hasn’t a big impact on games performances, so why do I get that warning?
Hey people,
I was wondering if upgrading from 10.6.8 to 10.7.5 has an impact on performance?
Playing the game on 10.6.8 medium settings and it runs good most of the times.
When I log in I get this error (warning): https://dl.dropbox.com/u/66317396/Schermafbeelding%202012-09-26%20om%2013.45.52.png
I can see why hardware upgrades have an effect on performance of games, but I don’t see why software upgrades have an effect on performances? The lion only adds a few new features how can it increase a games performance? And why does it give me this warning while the game runs fine on a 10.6.8?
I post the minimum specs combined with your information:
Mac OS®X 10.7.X or later: no information given from you.
Intel® Core™ i5 or better: requirement met.
4 GB Ram or better: more than enough.
NVIDIA® GeForce® 320M, ATI Radeon™ HD 6630M, Intel HD 3000 or better: requirement met.
These are the minimum specs, so don’t expect good fps.

If it’s really locked to 20fps it also should be on the main menu, so what FPS do you get there?
Also read this useful topic: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/Low-FPS-on-2012-MacBook-Pro
Especially Piia’s post:
Go to the App Store and download a free app called gfxCardStatus. This app monitors your GPU switching and allows you to manually manage them. For the purposes of this test, just make sure that a message pops up that tells you your graphics card has switched to your Discrete (dedicated) card, rather than the integrated card (the HD 4000).
If you can make a screenshot of your settings.
Why would Anet use a company like Transgaming, if they know they have a bad reputation? They should have made the game for windows/mac from the beginning. A well 50€ waste isn’t so bad …
IIRC it’s not ANet who has the contract with Transgaming, it’s NCSoft.
Doesn’t make a difference. Before I judge them I will wait after beta. It’s playable atm, but could use some improvements.
Someone asked a similar question: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/Question-about-mac-client-Anet-answer-D
Tbh, I don’t think Anet will answer your question, but I hope they do.
Question about mac client! Anet answer :) :D

and is there real native client in works?
Most people can answer that: No!
I don’t think they pay a company like Transgaming to make GW2 work on Mac true cider when there is a native client in the progress. Instead they would have waited and bring out the native client instead of the cider.
Your other question wont be answered probably.

Indeed, still it’s Anet’s descision to use a third party company so they are liable for our experience ingame (including performance). I just hope they aren’t going to ignore the mac community and give us the same support as windows users.
I just ran GW2 bootcamp on higher settings and smoother FPS then the ported version. So the hardware can handle it, but the port is just not finished yet, hence why it’s beta ofc.
So I’m looking forward to a mac patch!
…considering that Transgaming has a track record of being utterly silent when game companies ask for updates…
Is this true? We paid the same price as windows users did, so I expect the same support and updates that windows users get. Else I’m getting the feeling A-net just wants our money and doesn’t care about our concerns.
I know that there is truth in what you said, because I’ve played many games that were suspose to be supported on mac. To make a long story short about those games: allot of bugs and no updates. The companies just wanted a little more money and didn’t care if we were satisfied. So I hope this isn’t going to be the same story!
