Ahh, the fans, the fans… These past couple of days they’ve pretty much become part of the bg music for me, lol. My MBP managed to run Tera at medium-high on bootcamp with good fps/without the fans blasting off to the orbit like they do with the GW2 mac client so I assume it’ll run at least a little better/quieter on the windows side, hahah.
Excellent, thank you both! I knew the OSX version was just a wine port but I wanted to make sure anyway since I’ve run into some weird hiccups transferring files between the two systems before. I’ll get around to it tomorrow now that I know I don’t have to wait for four hours for it to d/l, curious to know how much better the game will run on windows!
Hey all, I am a new player and enjoying the game so far. After a couple of days of playing I’d like to install the game on my bootcamp partition as well for the slight performance boost. Is it possible to just download the launcher on the windows side, close it after it’s done creating the folder and just paste my mac install’s gw2.dat in it to avoid having to download most of the files? I’d like to know before I try since I’ll have to move another large game out of the partition for this and I’d rather move the files/download the game at a later date if it won’t work. Thanks for the help!
