You do know we’ve been elsewhere this evening as all our turncoat bauble seeking guilds on AG have been sieging Hills!

We did send a couple of 4 or 5 man squads over there but that was it!

Truly sucks to lose the lead at this late stage but FSP, you did a great job and came back really well. Didn’t seem to matter where we were, you were there in numbers. That’s some great coverage you have! We went for months of being stomped down the tiers so we’ll dust ourselves off and get on with it.

Honestly I couldn’t tell you if it was numbers or not cos I couldn’t see you most of the time! Hell, I couldn’t see us most of the time either. That’s really spoilt this matchup.

By the way – I heard Aurora Glade called you all a bunch of scrubs and losers… We all think you’re great and want to invite you over for tea.

I don’t go along with these suggestions of an alliance – whatever that means – between MS and FS; when we had taken hills on FS last night we had to fight off both FS and MS who were fighting each other on the walls of outer while we fought them both.

In any case it rarely makes sense for the second and third ranked servers to team up when the match is fairly close – the third ranked server has nothing to gain. It should be the second ranked server that get’s double teamed – that way the team in first cement their place and the team in third have a shot at second. If there is any alliance it should be us and MS agreeing to keep off each other’s borders and hit FS but as we don’t do alliances this isn’t going to happen.

Furthermore positions mean nothing except forum bragging rights – it’s all about the points anyway!

Let’s keep on enjoying the fights. I’ve had a great week so far against two opponents new to me. Thanks to both FS and MS for a great scrap – here’s to a tense closing couple of days!

Really impressive stuff tonight, thanks for helping to bring a bit of variation to this matchup – not sure anyone’s particularly enjoying it. We were pretty evenly matched early in the evening but when your main force arrived you took things up to 11. I particularly enjoyed the one skirmish when our commander called for a veil, then again and then again and after we wiped we realised all our mesmers had gone to bed!

Great fun, and a lot to think about as we lick our wounds. Still think we’ve had you when we’ve met in the open field though

There’s a fair amount of interest in this in the GH community site, we need to get the views of a few more guilds on all sides but after the slightly disappointing end to this three week feud that we’ve caused this week the general feeling is that we would welcome a good scrap to end the encounter with, hopefully, no hard feelings. The previous two weeks have been, by almost universal agreement, the most fun we’ve had for ages.

How much interest is there across RoF / WSR, and would you be interested in a post match mumble get together?

I will tell you about my weekend. I was off at Reset and when i came in at Saturday morning i saw that GH overrun the whole maps with a Guild consisting of 5 people. 3 of em where afk, 1 played with dolls under a bridge and the last one conquered the whole map with the sheer amount of his godlike power of mobility.
After a short while playing and been kitten from every gh (gangbang) and their dogs i decided to let em have wvwvw for their own. Lets see if a barren wvwvw area will bore them so much that they do sepuku.

I decided to level a alt this week and Ignore the Borderlands; from others i know they do the same. Have fun GH and i hope you encounter a server with more “mobility” and “coordination” (translated: players)

Well I for one want to apologise to our current opponents. I know how tedious it is to get roflstomped all week in hopelessly imbalanced matchups – we have had enough of those over the past couple of months. I’m sorry if this, and the other moves, make this week no fun for you. Not much fun for me either tbh, logging in to find very little to do.

That being said – if guilds want to join, or leave, the server there is not much we can do about it other than engage with them and manage it as well as possible. Our community elders have done a good job explaining what we are about and what our hopes are – expectations is too strong a word, it’s not as if we can police it. Xaoc is welcome to our server as long as they don’t kitten it up for those of us that have stuck it out through the tough times.

The guilty party here is the free transfer policy – this means that guilds can move around as they like and cause imbalances like this. Thank kitten this will shortly be stopped.

I don’t care what tier we fight in just as long as the fights are balanced and fair. WSR and RoF, I’ve had a few fantastic weeks against you all – kudos and respect to you. If we are to walk this week I hope we can leave you to a better fight next week.

I’m sorry, maybe I’m affected by tonight but honestly you do not have my respect. I have played against many servers and they won the game much, much, better with less people. Maybe this is the other reason why I can not acknowledge you as good. I will see you next week or the week after when you will match servers with the same numbers. Then you will have to prove yourself. And I can remember the week before 2 weeks when you were not so much))

So what has happened between the week 2 weeks before when we were not so much and now? I can tell you it’s not mass migration in to us – unlike our mass migrations out which happened previously – so what is it?

Heck Zloby – I’m sorry if it’s no fun for you but we have worked really hard as a community to get better as well as to recruit. We have had a lot of self-flagellation over the past months and it is finally bearing fruit. We do outnumber WSR yes but I don’t think we outnumber you – if we do not by much. My parties have been wiped by your zerg plenty of times but when we get to a point where we have concerted and planned defence in place we feel safe.

Prove us wrong this week – look for the outmanned buff. These past two weeks have seen some of the best fights we’ve had in wvw. I mean no disrespect to our opponents, I just wish that we got the respect that I think we now deserve from them.

The organisation this week has been insane.. had some plans put into effect that have been rolling for a while. The Garrison attack for example which was co-ordinated by three guilds. Numbers are not amazingly bad as we have found defending, when you almost capped garrison we had called attacks off to defend who got there in time. You were not complaning about numbers 3 weeks ago when you were spawn camping us in EB :P Lets see what the reset brings.. we have always had a solid start.

I’m a little kittened at the numbers posts – we’ve worked kitten hard on strategy, communication and planning for months now to stop the downward spiral of our server. Can’t you just say “yeah, well played Gunnar’s”? We can acknowledge that we’ve been outplayed by lower population servers in the past but I firmly believe we’ve learned and have improved.

Nothing that we did tonight was by chance or luck – we planned our reset and we executed flawlessly across multiple guilds and multiple borderlands. I’m kitten proud of the effort put in and the thought that went into this reset and even if we lose this week tonight was the most fun I’ve had for blooming ages – not because we kicked kitten – but because we planned, schemed and executed in a unified and determined way.

I’ll say it – well played Gunnar’s, you did yourselves proud. We set goals, we stuck to them. I’m proud to be part of this community.

I sure can understand, every night i go to bed with us at +600 or there about and wake up to us at +250-300, you pesky night cappers you :p. All jokes aside though i do understand as we have been in many situations like yours at the moment and it sucks that you can’t upgrade anything without it just being taken the next night, i really puts a drain on the server.

Are you from AG? The sig says you are. Honestly I don’t see this but I guess it depends when you go to bed. I generally switch off at about 11pm and at the start of the week the scores were very level then. Now you are still slightly ahead but in the mornings it’s all AG. This morning when I checked the scores we were on zero ticks!

I’m not complaining – I would hate to be in your shoes – I mean what do you do when you hold everything? It’s the way the game works and your early morning crew sure are effective, I hope you have more challenging matchups in higher tiers because this week must have been hella dull!

I want to chuck out a huge thanks to all who took part in the epic fights at Anzalias and in the mole tunnels last night. At Anzalias CHvc were ably assisted by some smaller guilds and single players and we did an amazing job – even with the wall down and enemies in the lord’s room we still kept coming and eventually fought back to keep it GH. Big props to all who took part in the tunnel siege as well – eventually we were overwhelmed by you AG and RoF but it was damn good fun while it lasted. Shame the week wasn’t more even…

Out of all the servers PS have played the best individuals I have come across were on Gunnars Hold! they simply didn’t have the numbers though due to loads of guilds leaving. If the OP can get numbers in the 100’s from a few guilds they could totally transform GH as I’m sure there is still a core of gamers there that are awaiting an influx of new WvW focused gamers.

Yes there are those among us who are certainly not leaving – we like it too much here. Sure the water’s cold and there’s a bit of an echo now but there are also feral charrs and fighters left dogmatically holding what turf we have…

Well as you can see from the above Gunnar’s Hold have recently lost a couple of guilds to other servers so you would certainly be welcome here – primetime or not. Like most servers we suffer from nightcappers but our WvW community makes a big effort to focus on tactics, coordination and community. If you want to be part of our forum and mumble community and to work with the other WvW guilds here you would be very welcome. I’ve always found the server welcoming and well meaning and the community to be well structured and dilligent.

I don’t care who has left the server, just as long as I can get a good party with my guild – and with my guild they’re all good parties – I’ll be out smashing old foes and old friends alike night after night in the borderlands or battlegrounds. I don’t care if the server is down on points due to quitters this week – just makes it all the more sweet to see us roll on our on-hours.

Cheers for the extra lootbags ex GH guilds – with so many of you out there there are loads to pick up! WvW has never been so profitable! I’m having to get extra backpack space to carry all the loot this week!

Hi there – I’m a veteran of many years in MMOs and have recently arrived in GW2, early impressions suggest I’ll be here for a while and if I’m to get the best out of the game I think I need to stop soloing and get myself into a guild.

I’ve tried a few classes now and an happiest with my guardian. Still a long way to go until cap though – he’s L22 at the moment.

I’m looking for a guild of adults who mainly play together and who value teamwork and companionship over just pwning noobs, I have played almost exclusively PvE content previously but would like to try the team PvP and WvW in GW2 so a guild with TS or vent would be great. I don’t mind the occasional cuss but generally prefer a more laid back approach. Stress, conflict and elitism have no appeal to me, this is an escape – not real life! I am doing my best to level up my main and will focus on that so I have a capped toon to explore endgame content and will then work on other builds.

I play most evenings UK time and at weekends – MMOs are my hobby so I’m on a lot. I’m happy to work for the guild and roll up toons as required to help out.

So if you’re part of such a guild please let me know!
