Since i doubt we will ever get this thread merged with our old thread that’s now inside the kaineng thread i have searched for our posts inthere and will be posting them here
they are in chronological order, can’t promise i found them all though, but iirc it had about 10 replies, so these should be it :p
Don’t call it after 1 hour yet, the first restart hours tell nothing about how a server preforms over one week. I have a hunch you guys will have much better coverage due to the extra people xoac can commit in off peak hours.
Unless something happened to GH just before the restart I expect them to win, maybe not the landslide victory of the previous weeks but accoring to report, there is nothing we can do against off-peak ours PVD.
Still we will fight, we retook our border and performed decently in EB after facing a huge zerg from both MS and GH, up to the point that we faced 30ish GH on one side of the garrison and 30ish MS on the water door.
With some chances and a lot of determination the garrison did not fall.
After a while it seemed that MS went to GH, we preferred to consolidate our numbers in our BL.
Just wanted to wish everybody happy fighting and bloody battles.
After seeing our opponents’ impressive rise through the ranks last matchup I’m happy we didn’t get steamrolled from the start tbh. I like the groove of this matchup so far, good mix of small-scale and zerg fights.
Was a lot of fun last night! There was a lot of hurt as well, though i think our group caused more wipes than we received. Dont know who the MS guild group we had a stare off with was [MiY] maybe. But im glad we didn’t engage you as you guys were organised and pro at staying balled up lol. Looking forward to the rest of the week. Cheers!

Well was a interestring and fun night, with some bumps along the way.
I been surprised how much focus MS put onto us, I mean any people with common sense would try and work together agienst a bigger number, The more they fight Us the less resistince GH going to meet from both FS and MS. But their Choice.
Was a rough 2 hours but we got our BL back, SM and a lil in GH BL, Unfortunely Xaoc arrived at 4.30 CET and screwed us up. Time for bed, See you on field later.
Seems like this is an gonna be an interesting week.
I think we are in the right tier now and are meeting our match in GH and Millers.
Could still go either way, but GH is very strong in the morning as we expected, but it’s not as horrible as we might have feared the last weeks
Let’s enjoy it while it lasts, its very likely we will all be meeting some T3-T1 servers next week and get spanked :P
Great matchup. I think Gunnar’s was overrated a lot by many people because of our high points numbers. Fact is even in T7 we got our kitten kicked in prime time by the french, and this week will be much worse. Gunnar’s need to fight like lions not to lose everything in primetime, we are glad Xaoc can make up with a strong offpeak-presence or this surely would not be very balanced in points. Wishing everyone good luck and an enjoyable week, i think the rankings arent important atm, actually i dont even want to win because T4 will not be fun for us. So just looking for good fights, have fun all =)

Well points-wise this is one of the most balanced matchups. Only thing that bothers me is the queue bugging out. We had queue on our own BL, and when I finally got in I found 30, maybe 40 people after hours of wandering around. Have you FSP or MS folks experienced same?
Awsome fights so far … very close score’s yesterday evening…. unfortunatly, when waking up ,drinking my coffee, pressing B after logging in on my character, first thing you see is GH leading again with 9k difference.. ahh well… gives us more reason to own the day, and gain in points… keep on fighting, keep on knocking on the doors, keep on dying

I feel like this situation will not change, the players began to move away from WvW. Will be only a few servers that will battle among themselves, and the rest will just be empty.

we had some great fights yesterday evening against [Xaoc], thank you for that I think, Gunnars will lead this round because of their good work at night. But we will see what comes after the weekend.

It appears so. Miller’s have an incredibly large presence on our border all morning. As we all (on FSP) feared GH are building up a nice lead in very early morning hours, so much that they had a WP in our hills when I logged in at 10am GMT.
We simply cant even launch an attempt at Hills with Miller’s pushing us around the map. But yeah seems Miller’s have given up on first already and want to cement second.
That being said we haven’t helped ourselves this morning. There is definitely a lack of leadership and presence everywhere outside of EB. Some very simple mistakes being made like not using defensive siege, yet buying upgrades on undefended towers, reducing the supply and making the tower almost indefensible. Seems to be a definite lack of ‘regular’ players with a bit of know how. Hopefully this morning is just a blip, and I hope for the sake of the matchup Miller’s spread their focus abit.

But FSP never sleeps… I was up 24hrs from 4am Saturday, till this morning.. >_< then slept only 6-7hrs.
I had people in my guild still fighting tooth and nail when I logged back on.
I’m enjoying the matchup tho. These tiers are even.
I do feel a bit sorry for Gunnar’s to end up in higher tiers than msot of them are used to or can handle tho.
Having your point tally saved by one guild, at early morning, can’t be a very satisfying way to play can it?
Then again, I mean we have people who actively play at night, beacuse we’re nigth rats, don’t lag out as much those hours and so forth.
Btw, do any from xaoc visit this thread?

From what I can see we fight both sides equally, the respective progress depends on the resistance. Imo the ‘ganging up on the leader’ usually ends with one of the runner-ups turning on the other for 2nd place anyway (happened to Miller before at least).
So far I enjoy the rather close race, looks like we are going to have some fierce battles this week.

This morning was really funny. As one of our Leader had 1 vista/POI on green map left to complete the 100% we decided to go to the spawn tower (Sunlight something) with 1 guild golem and took this one (4 players all together 3 of us mesmer^^).
After we got the tower (full T3 btw.) we went to the north of the bay and got another golem. Once we went in we got some help from another 10 and took full T3 Bay, both golems survived :-) . Then we took both spawn towers, as we tried Hill the Gunnars`s defensive went to strong. Then we went to FSP map with 2 more golems and tried again bay, but we were to slow this time^^. All together it was a quite funny morning.

It’s quite strange, as a (mostly) daytime player, knowing that the opponents are fielding superior numbers and tactics all the time, but coming online to see we’re winning. I fear what may happen if we win this match-up. It’s already quite painful against you guys.
Nobody at Anet loves WvW like Grouch loved PvP. That’s what we need, a WvW Grouch, but taller.

Judging from the awesome, massive battle FSP vs Miller in/between hill and your spawntower on our map atm you guys are way too much fun to fight to pass up on that.
Is it just me or do we have crappy server this week a lot of rubberbanding and delay on skill animations randomly at times in small and bigger battles, didn’t have this before.
Had some nice fights so far against Xaoc and some other guilds as well as two nice 1on1s against a FSP shatter mesmer (forgot the guild tag…). Too bad we couldn’t finish either of them. The first i was too tired of trying to catch you so i just walked away (:D) and the second got interrupted by GH’s zerg. I tried to save you (must have looked really strange to the zerg…) but failed hard and barely managed to escape for myself ^^
Well, due to my bachelor thesis i will likely not be able to spend much time in WvW for the current matchup, but i wish all 3 servers much fun and good fights.

There’s always going to be fights over everything, if we can take easy points we will. We can not control everyone.

I play GMT and logged in at about 10am this morning, playing for about 2 hours in FS border. When I say you had a large presence, I mean a presence that was atleast equal to ours, and to be honest better organised (don’t want to give out to much but we seemed to have an unusually high number of inexperienced players on and the only commander logged out when you were taking Bay without saying anything).
I have actually been impressed with Millers Sound. I feel you are quite abit stronger than Drakkar Lake and Dzagonur who we played in the last matchup, but before this matchup I didn’t think you would be stronger.
As for our own performance, we have been excellent in EB as always. Our own border defence was good until this morning, not so good since and we could be better. Still enjoying the matchup even if overall we appear the weakest link (just not by much).

Thanks to all the MS and FSP players who invaded GH tonight, it was a lot of fun – a reminder of how intense WvW can get. I’m a little sad that we couldn’t take back Hills whilst i was there… but there’s always tomorrow
