I could not agree more. I feel like the Necromancer was designed with a solid idea in mind and they have not wavered from their vision for the class since the start of the game, while update after update has wrought drastic changes on other classes becoming faster, power-creeped monstrosities of their original designs, the Necromancer has remained a slow yet devastating caster class.
Been a big believer that the Necromancer is probably the most balanced class in the game for a while now and I find it funny how low people rank this class in comparison to others.
Either way I’m always glad to see others appreciate good design when they see it and I’ll add Blood is Power to the list of skills that work nicely in both power and condi builds, especially now that it shares the might with nearby allies.
Also the change to vulnerability affecting both power and condi is one of the best things that has happened to this class in while, giving us an added supportive and offensive edge considering how easy it is for us to provide that sweet vuln.

All is vine eh? Perfect time to whip out my ragnar and be a motherkittening druid.
The hype is real and my body is ready.
This is something I have posted about not too long ago but about the stalwart armour set which is suffering from the same issues as the tribal set as well as another which name escapes me currently. I would love to see them return since they are all unique and interesting designs and it’s a shame those sets are being treated this way.
Heck, I wouldn’t mind paying gems for them If it’d mean I could gain access to them.
I’ve looked around on various posts and various websites and I’ve come to the conclusion that this piece of gear is currently impossible to get.
Previously, to my knowledge it was only obtainable in pvp and for those lucky few since the new patch can have it for both pve and pvp now.
I however am not so lucky and would love a way to obtain this skin, should anyone know how to obtain this as of the April 15th patch, I’d appreciate your sharing.
Before anyone says it can be obtained through the personal story, that is untrue and only gives you some of the other pieces of said armour.
Maybe these skins could be available as a WvW vendor skin for badges of honour if it is truely unobtainable at the moment, just a suggestion.
Aight, posted on the bug report forums as asked.
The issue is quite simple: the aoe range increase from Blasting Staff appears to overwrite the duration increase from Persisting Flames as far as the tool tip on Lava Font is concerned.
After counting it myself in game the duration is as it should be, however the tool tip fails show it together with the larger aoe.
Just thought I’d post it here to raise awareness of this issue despite it being something fairly minor.
Thanks for clearing that up, however even if it’s only a problem with the tool tip it would be nice if that got corrected.
Not sure If this issue has been identified yet but a quick Elementalist forum search hasn’t given any results so I’ve decided to post it.
The issue is quite simple: the aoe range increase from Blasting Staff appears to overwrite the duration increase from Persisting Flames.
Example: Persisting Flames on its own provides my lava font with a duration of 6 seconds, however as soon as I take Blasting Staff along with it I lose the duration increase and it is instead replaced with a larger aoe. Both can’t seem to co-exist.
Again, I apologize if this has been posted before but this bug is harming my builds performance and I would love a fix for it as soon as possible, thanks.
I like the mix.
Would be something to see a big golem pummeling Tequatl. Heh, who knows, the day might come …
Pacific Rim style fight against Tequatl would be the height of enjoyment within this game.
Next step all races of Tyria competing to make the best Jaeger to fight the Elder Dragons. Asura and Charr have a bit of an advantage there though, sorry Norn… there comes a point when a sword just doesn’t cut it. Pun intended.
My issue isn’t hidden shoulders, this has probably been said a lot but I’ll say it again:
It’s FLOATING shoulder pieces that pains me, there are very few medium shoulders that I can use on my female char that actually sit on her shoulders.
This isn’t exclusive to shoulders either, I recently bought Rox’s Quiver and as much as I’d love to use it I just can’t bear to look at that floating mess.

Caster hammer anyone?
Mesmer gets greatsword, why not a 2-handed hammer for us?
Could be fun ^^
If you don’t want to have to change your current build, try switching axe for dagger during the encounter, the dagger auto attack is quite powerful.
Another thing which I do is; use the Flesh Golem elite skill and target the burrow with his charge, he will damage it repeatedly taking half of a burrow down easy.
This can already be done with the “Packed Stimulants” trait in the tools tree.
