No. I haven’t played since they locked me out from sending money to my friend a month and a half ago.

I think some people misunderstood me when I wrote “normal players shouldn’t be running into these limits”. I was agreeing with the sentiment that this anti-farming stuff sucks, I was saying that you guys are “normal players”, and so this junk shouldn’t be affecting you.

People playing normally shouldn’t be running into these limits, period. Anti-farming measures should be transparent to normal gamers.

I’m not going to wait 30 days to play again. I’ll just play some other games instead.

This problem plus the anti-farming code (diminishing returns from killing the same enemy over and over) are way too restrictive. Normal players should NOT be hitting these barriers.

I get what they’re for, but I don’t agree with them affecting regular players.

We both paid for the game. It’s not up to you to decide of it’s reasonable or not. It’s a game, and it cost money so we’ll play it how we want. We aren’t exploiting or doing anything wrong. “Life’s hard hey” is irrelevant because this is not life, this is a game. It’s a product that I bought and I should be able to use it. Is that difficult to understand?

This gold farmer limit shouldn’t be so easy to hit by a normal player.

That, right there, is the crux of what I’m saying. I’m being accused of being a gold farmer because someone at ArenaNet was overzealous with the transfer limit.

If it’s a bad idea to remove it entirely, you should at least agree that it ought to be increased if players are running into it so soon.

You’re suggesting I wait for weeks or months before we can play again? I know why you are saying what you’re saying, but try to see it from my perspective.

The transfer limit is absurdly low right now. Every account is a new account by these standards. Thousands of people must be experiencing this issue and not bothering to post about it.

I’m not a gold farmer, this isn’t 100s of gold I’m trying to send, it’s 2 or 3.
That solution isn’t terrible, but it would cost us 15%. It shouldn’t. That means we lose around 40 silver.

I’ve been sending money to my friend since we started playing when the game launched. I don’t care about cosmetic stuff as much as she does, and she is doing crafting, so I’m trying to help out.

The last few days I made a few gold on the Trading Post, and tried to send some to my friend since she was stuck (wasn’t able to buy the level 40 trait book). I was “greeted” with this message:

“This transfer would exceed the total value of transfers allowed for new accounts. As you continue to play , your account will be allowed to transfer higher values. New account limits are necessary to protect your online experience from fraud and illegal trading. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience”

I haven’t sent more than 2 or 3 gold total, and now I am completely locked out of sending even a few silver.

At level 38, with more hours played than I want to admit, I’m not really a “new account” am I? What do I have to do to prove that I am not a gold farmer or account thief?

I have been making money on the trading post so my friend can craft and buy cosmetic armor. It’s blocking me from even sending small amounts like 25 silver. How long does this crazy limit last? It is a problem.
