It isn’t just Risen, I have moved in the space of 1 30 minute food buff to 3 zones. killing several different level 70-80 mobs to get my daily. what did I get on my 82% magic find toon? Kittens kittens and more kittening kittens.

19 porous bones
3 large bones
2 moldy bags
2 piles of incandecent dust
1 Sword
1 torn rag
and a partridge in a pear kittening tree.

C’mon what kind of drops is that? I got the freaking white sword from a chest guarded by a level 80 champion kitten I come home from work log in and get not even a fraction of what I would get. By this time I’m usually sitting on at least the above plus a few blue items and a couple of greens. this pile of crap doesn’t even cover the cost of teleporting.

I have been so looking forward to GW2, and now I’m not so impressed. I’m now looking forward to X-Com, at least that wont get my research stealth nerfed over night.

Are Magic find booster's broken? When in ORR?

Simple enough question, as ORR is undead only region. And the dreaded DR kicks in after only 30 mins (I hear). Doesn’t that then mean that if I was to use a magic find booster, as I did. And run round the zone which is level specific to myself (level 80), that booster would stop working after the DR kicks in?

Because I can sure as hell tell you it was like it worked backwards. I popped that booster and I’m not kidding I got maybe 30 drops and I received nothing but white items. I joked in TS to my friends it should be called a Bone Booster.

I just feel down right disgusted with the stance taken towards a software that is genuinely for no other reason than helping people play. Even more so when the only response you get is “No. No third party stuff that modifies the game. Never.” Or “use of 3rd party software is not allowed.”

That in itself is laughable when you consider this Mouse http://steelseries.com/products/games/guild-wars-2/guild-wars-2-gaming-mouse#specifications

has one of the main selling features as follows

ADVANCED MACROS
Thanks to the support of the SteelSeries Engine software, you can record even extremely long and advanced macros to the Guild Wars 2 Gaming Mouse. The macros can not only be layered and can include keystrokes and precise timing, but they can span across your peripherals allowing you to have a mouse button assigned to perform keyboard strokes and mouse clicks in the same macro. How you will decide to use this advanced feature is up to you (choose your configurations wisely and adhere to any rules that you may need to abide by during gameplay); we are only presenting you with the capabilities for endless possibilities.

If Anet feel so strongly about 3rd party software and macro’s, what may I ask we’re they thinking when they allowed that to be branded as the Official GW2 mouse.

…And a couple more on top.

There has already been a post asking about the combat mode mod and whether its legal. The response was pretty much no 3rd party software allowed.

If a mod that essentially just keeps the right mouse button pressed is illegal.
Anet need to remove the official GW2 mouse from sale. It has macro capability that is capable of way more complex macro’s than just keeping the right button pressed.

Also I would honestly like to know why a mod that gives no advantage to anybody, but gives people with a disability the ability to play not be allowed.
What are the chances Anet will add this to the game?

So glad I’m not the only one noticing this. It is very important this gets addressed, for one reason and one reason alone.

Lets say i created the first Uber OMG weapon that everyone must have, and put it up for sale at 1000 gold. then 20, 000 other people made the same weapon and put it up for sale at 1000 gold. As mine was first it would not sell till the other 20k sold first. I would be the last person to make a sale. By which point in reality demand would be dropping so i would have to re list the item at a lower price to make a sale, even though i offered the first one in the entire game for sale at 1000 gold. I would never ever get that for it because everybody elses would sell first.

not to mention the fact i would be stuck with a 50 gold listing fee, but would probably lose it having to re-list the item.

Those who come after are selling cheaper.

That’s the only way they would sell before you.

Errr NO!

I have now watched the sale till completion, a quick breakdown of how it went. Please keep in mind different prices didn’t come into this, there were occasional sales of a less amount but I didn’t count those in any way. So for clarity’s sake I’m going to say these were all the items posted at 10 copper.

for sale before I posted my stack was 407
My stack increased the available amount to 657
in the space of 20 mins further amounts added till an eventual ceiling was reached of 2000+
in the mean time there was sales as well but they were being out stripped by offers.
estimate around 200 were sold in that 20 minutes.
2 hours passed with no sales for ME, but the item available amount hovering around 2k, there were alot of sales as it did fluctuate.
started to watch very closely as the number dropped from 2k down 900,
there was also numbers being added but sales were greater. estimate in that 45 minutes there was around 3000 of the item sold.
still no personal sales.
the amount now for sale fluctuated around 780 to 1030 for a further 30 mins
possibly another 400-500 items sold
still no personal sales.
amount drops to 720 available, then somebody buys a stack of 100.
I have just sold exactly 37 items (co-incidence I don’t think so)
I continue to watch closely for another 45 mins, number slowly dropping with offers raising it again but sales are out stripping offers slowly.
ALL My items didn’t sell till there was less than 407 available for sale in total.

if you followed that, it is either a bug I have been struck with, or if it’s true for all items. People who add to the stack of available items for the same price, after yourself, will sell before you.

Doesn’t work in this way.

I placed some items for sale earlier today, and there was around 400 before I placed my order. I bumped it up to 650’ish, then there was a spike that took it to 2000+ plus. There it stayed for a while then slowly dropped down to around 900. At which point it has hovered for around 2 hours. Not because there are no sales, because there are.

It’s just been a sell 200, then somebody else adds 220 kind of thing going on. I have sat and counted (approx) for the last 30 minutes and the total sold is nearing 2000. total currently for sale 870.

Total of my original 250 sold….. 0, that’s a big fat ZERO. Hence title question. Do I really have to wait till the number for sale drops down to 400’ish for my listed items to have sold? what if it never drops that low? As it is right now, and people keep the number for sale hovering at around the 1k mark. I swear the total sold in the last couple of hours must be close to 5k, yet the highest total for sale was just over 2k and lowest was when I added mine at 650’ish.

It should seriously be the people who added before you should sell before you, not those who come after.
