I’ve noticed several times now in WvW and spvp that rangers cannot be knocked down at certain times but there is no stability icon on them at all. Is this a bug? If so, it really needs to be fixed, as wasting a knockdown not knowing they have stability is ridiculous. any input from the rangers?

Oh I know for sure most people probably don’t enjoy steamrolling, I’ve been on HoD since the start, and it got boring when we always owned stuff, no fun at all when there is no one to fight. I’d love to fight your regulars, doesn’t matter who’s winning or losing really, it’s all about the fight

Dunno if you’d consider it, but a lot of us are coming back for T6, might be worthwhile to hop on there for a week if you’re really interested in seeing a lot of our skilled people in action. (Not sure if I’ll be available, was intending to be but my bloody internet is iffy atm. -.- )

Thanks for the offer, but HoD is where I shall remain, with my guild and the remaining fighters. Server transfers are one of the things that brought the server down the ladder, and I don’t want to be a part of that.

So this will come off as disrespectful im sure, but I personally don’t feel Kaineng would get very high up in tiers without their transfers. Sure you could get out of tier 8, no doubt, but from your performance in this matchup, it’s been nothing but numbers, no skill. Countless times 4 of our people have killed 10+ of yours, it’s great, and it’s what’s allowed me to have fun in this matchup. We even ninja’d a keep from you guys tonight :P
No disrespect intended, but you guys need to work on skill for those high ranks you’ll be hitting, even WM and what not, i’ve killed a ton of your members cause you’re almost all using cookie cutter glass cannon builds.
Also, the lack of respect is appalling from Kaineng, dancing on corpses, laughing etc, it’s just not needed guys.

Anyways, my post isn’t meant to insult anyone, though im sure some will take it that way. There’s been some fun in this matchup, defeating a whole group when outnumbered and what not, the huge battles in EB at the start of the week, so thanks for that guys And as i’ve said before, work on those tactics, cause eventually they’ll be an even bigger zerg than yours.

Not sure if it’s mentioned yet, didn’t find it through searching, but endure pain does not block certain attacks, mainly in fractals it seems. The attacks i’ve come across so far are, captain ashyum’s meteor shower and champion rabsovich’s shockwave from what i remember at the moment. Ill be sure to write more down as I come across them, i know there is more.
Also the trait to have 100% chance to vengeance does not work on a lot of mobs. Especially those that are summoned, or part of a wave type encounter, which could be intended. Some examples are the airship in arah story mode and cultist in fractals, again ill add more as I find them.

Actually he is referring to HoD’s current match up, we had a presence from the very start and actually held a few keeps and towers etc. But yet again 1 server dominates both. Been like this for at least a month now, no matter what our server does. Problem is we lack players and other servers have a ton.

I personally don’t understand why they released the game without the guesting feature in the first place, it would have prevented all of this, so extremely poor planning on their part there I think. They really should have just got guesting working asap, now we have a bunch of issues with WvWvW. It’s great they bumped the transfers up to 7 days, but as people said, it still allows guilds to hop servers for each new matchup. I personally think every person should get 1 free transfer, and after that you pay, and have around a week or so in between those paid transfers, of course this would have to be in place after guesting is implemented to be fair to the pve’ers trying to play with friends.

Agreed, hackers need to be permanently banned from the game, it isnt fun nor fair for anyone with them in the game. I too want to know why this person is still able to play after being reported numerous times.

@Tdawg Understandable, just didn’t want my server to get a bad name, we have enough issues that we’re working hard to rebuild from already.

For everyone calling Henge of Denravi a hacker server, that definitely isnt true, 3 people do not make a server, in fact the people on our server reported the same people for hacking. Also we capped towers fairly, at least in our own borderlands where i was for the past 6 hours or so. However there was hacking with the orbs, which as i said, has been reported by both teams already. So don’t judge an entire server of the actions of a few people.

Just to be clear, this is not intended to put you down in anyway, simply just my reaction and suggestions to what you wrote.

I disagree with dungeons in GW2 being a bad experience, they can be very hard, but with practice and learning how to respond to the enemies and events in the dungeons you can defeat any dungeon, with almost any group, if you have coordination.

Your second point about skills and how to play the game, again, no disrespect to you, but Im going to say that it is not your ability to play that’s the problem, rather your ability to learn and experiment. GW2 isn’t a game that just gives you everything on a platter nor is it set in stone, you’re meant to play around with traits, skills and weapons and create a build that works for your play style. So my suggestion here is to read what the skills do, try them out on an enemy in pve, or a test golem in the mists, or even research them online. There are many sites that have builds as well as build creators, however I believe the best way is to test each skill and trait out yourself, it may take some time, but its a learning experience that will help you play so much better and really hone your professions abilities for every situation. This is the same for knowing which tactics to use in different situations, again experiment with skills and tactics to see how they work to counter enemy skills.

To your last point, dungeons are not for hardcore players only, perhaps some of the explorable modes are very difficult and could need an easier mode as others have suggested, though they are still doable with practice. However story modes, and most explorable dungeons are able to be done by both PUGS and organized groups. It can be very frustrating to accomplish these dungeons sometimes, but once you learn the tactics it gets easier, having a decent group helps as well.

So just research and experiment with skills, traits and weapons in order to make a build that works for your play style, and don’t be afraid to adapt to situations, GW2 rewards you for doing so.
