People who play games need to start growing up.
And while you are at it get a job and start wearing suits!
Seriously, games are for fun and you have to be a child at heart to enjoy them. This is a game not a job, people play it to mess around, relax and have fun.
Now to the rest, not everyone’s definition of fun is the same. Hard does not equal enjoyable or good content. You want it hard then do things like Tribulation and Liadri, if you found them too easy then perhaps Guild Wars II is not the game for you.
Remeber Guild Wars II was sold on the idea of being -casual friendly-, not ultra hard super elite MLG gameplay. If you bought the game to be tested to your utmost limits, then perhaps you got the wrong game?
Yes, the problem is when they go and nerf the Tribulation Mode like they just did.
Yeah, because adding three check points across two zones is such a major nerf. I even deleted all my TM rewards because now they are worthless. /sarcasm
Or maybe you could do some research before posting and notice that all the nerfs they did to Normal mode also carried over to the Tribulation mode.
He’s saying that the changes can hardly be called nerfs, I mean only world 2-1 feels remotely easier since the whole geyser section got replaced as well as the rapids knockback which was insane to start with. World 2-2 still is unforgiving as ever.

Not only is it spawning me back at a previous checkpoint, I get spawned on the spikes as well causing me to die when I spawn sometimes.
After seeing patch notes I went back two w1z2 with 10/11 stores, went in the booby trapped room before the poison, got an achievement pop up but I"m still 10/11……
Is it fixed? or do I have to go through all 11 stores again to update my 10?
That’s weird, mine updated immediately. Maybe your missing another room?

Forbidden Honey is now possible. I don’t think it was before.
The wooden panel on the maze floor is now solid, so you can carry on further through the maze (not all of them are solid, though this is intentional, I believe).
Yeah if I recall there’s only 1 Panel that isn’t solid. But there’s a little pillar underneath that you can land on.

I have Forbidden Honey done for all of World 1. I’m still at 10/11 for Tough Customer, World 1 though.
US time was whatever (lets say 3pm) so they had till 5pm to finish. You don’t understand timezones…. they had the same amount of time to finish the daily as everyone else.
I’m not sure US dailies restart at 5pm their time. Seems illogical
Dailies reset at 00:00 GMT, So those living in the same time zone as the server have their dailies reset at 4:00 PM PST (which is GMT – 8:00)
Not really, however it is best if you start saving them as if you plan to go for more unique looking weapons you are going to need quite a few of them.
It is currently 7am PST on the 28th which means the patch will launch sometime in the next 17 hours.
I will post periodic updates for people that do not understand time zones
Listen, stop being conceited.
It’s not about people not understanding timezones, it’s about announcing to a global (please understand this includes places outside of the USA) audience than an update will happen on the 28th when it in fact won’t.
The problem is that people need to understand that Anet’s times are based on PST which is the server’s time. But people assume that the time they say is according to the time zone they live. So the moment it hits 12 am on the 28th wherever they live they expect the patch out at that moment.
Meaning that for the patch to hit exactly the instant it hits the 28th on the planet earth, Anet would have to be in their office working at 10am on sunday.
I understand that fine.
What I don’t understand is what’s so hard about typing “28th Jan USA, 29th everywhere else”
Rather than “28th of Jan”.
Understand?
Just knowing how timezones work would immediately tell you when to expect it. I don’t think there’s a need to put EXPECT IT ON THE 28th Western Hemisphere/29th Eastern Hemisphere when announcing the date.
Good grief, it’s argue with the moron brigade time again.
Look, it’s a global game. If they have a release advertised at 28th January with no qualifying arguments, then that kinda infers that it will be released at some point on the 28th of January for everyone that can read the announcement.
If it is not going to reach live status by the time the 28th ends outside of the US, they should tell people, because, once again, it’s a global game and not just for the USA. Global = places all around the world.
Understanding time zones doesn’t matter – if a company says “released on the 28th”, only has one site for the whole world, then that would mean it releases on the 28th, for the whole world.
I don’t even mind if they say “it might be the 29th for EU / AUS / ASIA”, at least they’re acknowledging the other 50/60% of their playerbase.
That last statement pretty much sums it up, but for those out there who are struggling in their attempts to “appear right”, I’ll break it down for you:
Time zone “A” and time zone “B” are on opposite sides of the planet.
Person in time zone “A” reads “patch on Jan 28th” on their native website.
Person in time zone “B” reads ""patch on Jan 28th" on their native website as well.NOW do you all see the issue some others have been well justified in pointing out?
Yes, I understand that Anet could have put 28th/29th.
But person in time zone “A” who lives in the same time zone will be like "Okay, so it’ll be out before 11:59 PM my time.
While the person in time zone “B” will be like “Okay, so it’ll be out before 3:59 AM for me tomorrow”
I’m sorry but knowing Time Zones do matter. It’s not hard at all to know how this works and shouldn’t be an excuse to complain because people are to ignorant to understand that Anet doesn’t revolve around their local time.
That’s a bit obtuse. I don’t see evidence of anyone here expecting Anet to “revolve around their local time”- in fact exactly the opposite. They are simply asking, “when?” It’s really not too much to ask when you have the same thing posted on all websites. Oh, I’m sorry, did we give up our rights to ask simple questions and question the decisions of Anet when we signed up for accounts? Forums are here for people to ask questions, let them live.
I’m all for questions hell I’ll even some questions which I know the answer too, I’m just tired of the complaining of those who say “It’s the 28th where I live, where’s the patch?” Then blame Anet and complain that “They should have just said it would be out on the 29th for EU/SEA.”
Lack of common sense does not give the right to complain.
Hell even I’m assuming the patch release on either the 28th or 29th for me and I’m 3 hours ahead of the server’s time.

I could have sworn that in a dungeon when the patch hit it gave you at least 30 mins. At least that’s what it did for my group when I was running Arah.
So instead of putting a time and don’t meet up, or putting the patch and doing maintenance, why not to deliver the update pronto? It will bring some bugs, and might have some exploits, but that’s how updates work!
Pretty sure if there’s an exploit or a serious bug, maintenance will have to be done.
If that happens people will rage even more then they are now.
There’s no way to know an exact time because there’s no way to know when you found all the bugs and kinks in the patch.
If Anet put a time down and doesn’t meet it people will rage.
If Anet puts the patch out but then have to do maintenance right after people will rage.
They’ll release it when they feel it is ready. We also know that it’ll be out within the end of the 28th PST. So just go about your life normally and it’ll be out when it’s out.
