Honestly, from what I have seen anything below T2 is a waste of time even trying to play wvw now.

I hear that. I am sitting in the Eternal Battlegrounds right now by myself. Our server is winning by a landslide strictly because no one is even contesting the map. The fact its so early in the morning probably helps, but its like this more often than its not.

Transfer or try to recruit guilds to your server seems to be the only solutions in this matter.

I’m not going to pretend I know the impact it would have, but what if they condensed the servers together so instead of having 24 worlds competing, they would, lets say 12.

Hey there, I am just now coming back from an extended break from GW2 and have noticed that my server (use to be in the top 4 most of the time) is now really low in the rankings. I asked around and it seems to be due to a mass amount of people abandoning the server or the game all together.

Is there anything being done to balance this issue out? I do not want to abandon my server, but I also don’t want to spend the rest of my days running around empty borderlands.

There has to be some kind of solution, right?

I still consider it a scumbag move. It was advertised as a permanent edition to the living world at the start. It was not advertised as something that would have to be purchased if you missed parts of it. At least not from the start, where it should have been. It was a cash grab and nothing more. Their marketing shenanigans are getting worse and worse down the road. I would advise that no one use real money to purchase this. clench your teeth and grind it out. The less money they get off this, the better. It’s just shady business. Keep gems in the trading post. It has no business effecting our enjoyment of the game.

Where are you getting 30-40 fps? Open world, sPVP? WvW? World Boss fights?

Your rig should get at least 60 fps in the open world and sPVP. WvW and World Boss fights (or any other area where there are hundreds of players in one spot) should be running at 30-40 fps on your rig.

Also by “max” setting, do you mean turning things to “high” or are you turning things to ultra with supersampling on? A few settings will drastically lower fps if supersampling is on (e..g ultra shadows, ultra LOD distance) and will result in non-visible visual improvements.

Everything on max, but sampling on native. And yeah, in open world I get anywhere from 50-80 FPS depending on what I am looking at. What I meant by the 30-40 fps drop is when I turn my camera and look around and stuff. World bosses with the new mega server system drop me down to 7-20 FPS :P

Hey guys. I am trying to increase my frame rate just for the sake of it. At the moment, at max settings, I idle at about kitten FPS. When moving, I drop to about 30-40.

I am just looking for some advice on what I need to upgrade in order to increase my frame rate the most. I will post my specs below. Thanks in advance!

>Geforce GTX 770
>Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
>8.00 GB RAM
>OCZ Vertex 4 256GB SSD
>1920 × 1080 144Hz Monitor

Please just ask if you need more info.
And let me know if my frame rate is normal for my specs.

What is this?

I want my perplexity recipes. I want to craft things myself. I want to play the game, not the TP. I’m sure some people don’t understand the difference, but there is one to me.

I understand making vanity items unobtainable, but why are you doing this for rune recipes?

Please bring them back.

Personal Story and Dungeon Story

Arah aside, they have no correlation to the personal story. You can do them whenever you want.

However, as Arah has ties to both, I’d suggest getting both Personal story and dungeon stories done (in any order) then doing Arah to cap both off.

But in my last cutscene, Eir mentioned wishing there were some kind of way to bring Logan and Rytlok closer, and then runs off. I felt like that was the clue to do AC story mode.

I figured all the dungeons had some kind of door within the story like that.

Hey guys

After hitting level 80, getting the look I want, and maxing out my character with full ascended, I decided it was time to do the story for the first time ever. I really want the full experience, so my question is this:

When is the best time to do dungeon stories, in correlation with the personal story?

Thanks!

Guess someone cant be bothered to explore maps properly.

Why would you want the locations of these nodes.. is there a more sinister reason behind the need, isn’t the node grab hack program up to date enough so needs some location tweaks…. ANET really needs to start shuffling node locations much more randomly than they do currently, make players actually do what’s meant to be done.. go find things on maps not empower the easymode factions.

No, some of us have to manage our time with things such as jobs, schooling, and other responsibilities and do not have the time to memorize node locations nor the time to 100% the map all over again every time the rich veins change.

Also, this post was made out of having trouble finding them, not lack of interest in looking. If you aren’t going to be bothered with helping, then do everyone a favor and don’t be bothered with posting either. Thanks.

Hey guys. Having trouble finding some rich Iron and plat nodes. Every map I look up online is either dedicated to orichalcum or is just extremely outdated.

If you could post me some locations/server of some rich nodes or large clusters it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

If yours looks any better, please post a screen shot. If so, I could only assume something has gone horribly wrong with my video settings.

And I would say the blue fog is part of the problem. It fades into abyss far too soon. I know for a fact that I could render 4 times this and still be at a smooth 60 FPS. I just think there is a lot of wasted potential considering how beautiful the game is.

Ha, stupid me, saw now that you indeed mentioned the fog in the main post. I would also really like to be able to see further without that annoying fog blocking my view, as I remember when playing PWI some ears ago. Maybe I remember it wrong, but I remember being able to see quite far into the distance in that game.

But this might pose a problem in WvW, as it would maybe be a bit unfair that only a selected few could see so far into the distance. I don’t know, maybe that’s not a problem though.

Will post a screen soon!

I’m not sure (could be wrong), but I believe they have a separate setting for character draw distance. If not, I’m sure they could make one. However, wouldn’t that already be an issue for players set at the lowest render distance compared to the highest?

That’s why wasn’t sure if that was even a problem, because higher draw distance on terrain only wouldn’t really give an advantage. And now when discussing it, I think I’m sure that characters are rendered separately. And as you say, that advantage would already exist in that case.

Also, my draw distance is the same so I must’ve remembered it wrong:

Thanks for the pictures.

Hopefully they will put some thought into improving this.
However the only way that will happen is if we make it clear its something we really want. Haha.

Yup! My screenshot was just focused on the distant landscape, and they come out all grainy for some reason.

Woah, I could swear that I’ve stood on that exact spot and not had such an empty vista! But if you say you play in max settings then I take your word for it, gotta start GW2 up myself and check in any case to be able to say anything about it.

Btw, are you talking about LOD only or is the fog included in the problem?

You may also want to turn off the depth of field graphic option.

For some reason, I like this option on.

FXAA doesn’t affect distant objects as much as it does closer objects (at least thats how my eyes see it), and the depth blur effect sort of masks that.

Tyria is a beautiful place. Let those who can experience that beauty without being tainted by an out-of-place fog. I was climbing to the top of a large hill to enjoy a gorgeous view of the Gendarran Fields, when instead, I was incredibly saddened.

Take a look for yourself.

I am currently running gw2 on max settings at a smooth 90 FPS.

I’m not asking for you to force others to play at higher settings, just that you give us the ability to do so. There is so much wasted potential by limiting us to such a short distance.

I have tested it many times with other players. When you are selling at the same price, its first in/last out.

Not sure if its a bug for me, or what. But I do indeed have to wait at the bottom of my price stack.

There is a major problem currently plaguing the trading post. This problem occurs when 2 or more players are selling a product at the same price. Many of you probably already know what I am talking about.

Lets say you are trying to sell a stack of silk. Then another player starts selling multiple stacks of silk at the same price as you. Rather then yours selling first, you have to wait for his 2000 silk to sell before you get your turn.

This is very frustrating and unfair.

Frankly, I don’t understand why this was not addressed in the beta. It doesn’t make any sense at all. It rewards players for being last rather than first.

In my opinion, when it comes to multiple people selling something at the same price, the one who posted first should be first to sell, not be put at the bottom of the stack. If you want your stuff to sell faster, you should be forced to set it to a lower price

Look Behind Key-binding bug Issue

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Harrada.8041

Harrada.8041

Hi, I’m having an issue that has been giving me a real headache. Since I don’t have any clue to what the cause is, I will just lay out all the details.

I have all my weapon skills bound to the Number Pad for convenience of using my Razor Mouse buttons 1-6.

I bound “look Behind” to the shift key. It works fine until I use a skill, which it then rapidly switches from forward view and behind view until the skill is cast.

Its not having this issue if i bind it to ANY other key. Only shift. All other keys within a reasonable position to use while in combat are already bound to something else. Shift is the only key available that wont cause me to have to restructure my entire layout.

Any clues to why this might be bugging would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
