Was going for foefire’s essence, but decided go big or go home, so I sold all my charged lodestones and orichalcum greatsword blades, and I got 100 gold, about an hour later I threw it all into the mystic toilet for a chance for dusk (goin for twilight now).

First, I didn’t say that the drop rate was in fact decreased, I asked if it was. I found it unusual that 7 people didnt get 1 charged lodestone in 3 hours, so I wanted to confirm it.

I suspect you didn’t read the whole thing and assumed just by the first paragraph or two that I accused Arena Net of nerfing the drop rate, it was a simple question, now if you don’t have an answer to my question, or anything useful, then please, don’t post, it’s a waste of my time and yours.

Anyone have any information on this yet?

What’s with the ME obsession in this thread? They’re a good group of players, but I’ve never seen them singled out like this before.

It’s interesting how our best four or five guilds fill out a spectrum between extreme bowling ball and extreme kite. We all converse and borrow builds and ideas from each other, but our comps will always be different and we’ll always play differently.

Because they are the only ones who come out to fight in open field. And when they’re out, other mag guilds also grow some spine, and come out. Every other guild on Mags runs away from even even-numbered fights. Fact.

Mags would do well to learn from [ME].

Have you seen [BURN] recently? Open field fighting is pretty much all we do, and we never run because its good skill group practice…

First let me start off by saying, I personally have been farming charged lodestones at the Temple of Dwayna, I know if the drop rate has decreased then it may happen with the other lodestones, but i have not tested this.

So for the past week I have been farming charged lodestones for the weapon foefire’s essence, and i have accumulated around 35 of them. My average drop rate was about 3 per hour. Some may think that this is a lot, but mind you I had 175% magic find and im a zerker warrior, so i kill them very fast.

So today, me and about 4 or 5 buddies, and 2 pugs were farming charged lodestones, not all of them had 175% magic find, but i know all them had about 100%. Before this I noticed that i had to load up a quick patch before playing the game, nothing too big, only took me like a minute. Anyways, the 7 of us all farmed for about 3 hours, so with my average of 3 per hour, and since some of them didnt have quite as much MF as I did, we will go with an average of two and a half lodestones per hour for each of us. 2.5X7=17.5X3 (for 3 hours farming)=52.5. According to my averages accumulated over a week we should have gotten 52.5 (53) lodestones.

None of us got a single lodestone.

Lets also keep in mind the “official” as in most commonly posted average of 1 per hour. This means 7X1=7X3=21. According to the most common average we all should have gotten 21 lodestones, again, none of us got a single lodestone.

So my question to the common guild wars 2 player that has farmed charged lodestones in the past day (7/16/13 – 7/17/13), have you gotten this problem?

My question to any Arena Net forum mod is, was there in fact a major decrease in the drop rates for lodestones (charged)? Or did the 7 of us just get extremely unlucky.

And finally, was the drop completely removed from the high leveled sparks? If not we are either extremely unlucky and/ or the decrease in lodestones was enormous.

If I could get any feedback on this whatsoever I would seriously appreciate it, thanks.

Well let me start off by saying i only have 3000 achievement points, so i wont be able to get a zenith skin for awile. So i chose the zenith hammer skin, and i got the zenith staff skin, i only have one character who uses the staff. I realize this may be a bug or it might just be my mistake, but i was wondering if i could refund the zenith staff for the zenith hammer, if you could make this change i would be forever greatful, thanks.

this really is something that needs to be worked on, if i hit someone with a hammer, i would feel that my hammer impacted the person, this would be no different if the person would or could be invisible. is there any future plans to change this?

Terrible planning, people leaving because we weren’t winning right away (normally we have a FANTASTIC RESET, and people weren’t seeing it) drama between guilds, drama between guilds leaving, you know, that ol’ stuff, my prediction now is that borlis is going to have a baaaaaadd week.

Yeah, 4 weeks ago, t4 and t5 were probably the most exciting servers, now its going downhill. right now we have only 10 people at bay and 50 people at a flippin tower, sad really.

Hey guys in BP, i just want to point out that it honestly seems like we are losing some WvW dedication. Some of the big guilds on the server (no names) have not even showed up since reset. i miss about 4 weeks ago when we always had a que and everyone was working together, having a great time, and kicking kitten while doing it. I just want to point out to ourselves that we are much better than we are currently showing. I really want to bring some of that dedication back. For those of you who dont join because we are losing, if you simply come back, we will start winning, simple as that. I really hoped that i have grabbed some of your attention and we can really start making the pushes this week and begin to climb the tiers again. As soon as we ran into a brick wall, (ehmry and DB) thats when it all fell apart, people were out for the holidays, taking a break, and as soon as we stopped shooting up, the effort stopped. I really hope that this can get some of you to start WvW on a daily (or even better) basis.

two more things, and im not sure that we have more numbers, its just that those numbers that we do have, are dedicated.
Believe me, im not complaining, just predicting, from what ive seen, our numbers are all small, but we are dedicated.

Second, i can tell you maguuma, that NONE of the big guilds are giving in to this “truce” you guys are hearing about, so you dont have anything to worry about. Sadly the only evidence i can provide you about this, could be fake for all you know, i dont have a screen shot, but BP and DR are hammering eachother all day, AND as of right now, it seems like DR and Mag are teaming up, (probably unknowingly, not accusing anything) as we are getting SMASHED in our borderlands.

BP actually has 80 man guilds? Forget what I said earlier about suspecting you guys having more players. You definitely have more players than Mag lol. How did you not take all of eternal with forces like that?

Well DR and Mag were hitting SM from all sides, which kept us busy most of the time, we always had about 7 or 8 walls down from trebs. And actually, BURN has about 440 people.

Our queues have pretty much evaporated except for EB and the home map when those lands are heavily contested. I think the 4-map queues were a sign of growing enthusiasm by our PvE population that quickly evaporated when: 1. the new download took an hour and triggered their ADD, and 2. they realized that WvW can be seriously frustrating. I predict the rest of the week you will be facing our usual population numbers, minus a few who want the Wintersday events.

yeah, this week, we have a lot of people participating in winters day events. It sucks because im afraid this will be just like Halloween. Even most of our big WvW guilds didnt show up much, in result, we didnt get first that week. hoping it is not the same now.

Devona’s Rest after being forced to stay in Tier 8 for 3 months despite winning every week minus 1 finally was given the opportunity this week to move up into Tier 7. Not shockingly to a lot of us, they are crushing Tier 7 and Kaineng which was able to play Devona’s Rest to relative draw every week is now crushing Tier 8.

I don’t know where these two servers should be ranked but I do know they are not Tier 8 servers and they haven’t been for months, but the system has kept them there because they were able to play each other so well.

The problem is if there are 2 or more servers in a Tier that are able to play each other close than neither will ever move unless another server comes along that goes into free fall mode like ET and HoD have done and chances are that will never happen again.

I like BG and IoJ, our matches this last month and a half have been entertaining and competitive but after 5 weeks of this match (7 for IoJ vs SoR) I would like to see some new faces.

The only counter argument that I hear is that BG would get crushed in Tier 1 and/or IoJ would dominate in Tier 3, well honestly how do you know when nobody ever moves?

Just wanted to say, i think devona’s will stay somewhere in tier 6, i think anvil and NSP will give you guys a run for your money

You guys don’t know what you’re in for. From what I see atm Bp isn’t pulling ahead enough to make up for the score db can easily gain during oceanic times. Weekdays are even crazier here on db.

When we lost to dh 2 weeks ago, they pulled ahead of us enough to keep us at 2nd and 3rd place. So our oceanic couldn’t make up the point difference tho it was close.

im just saying bp is the raising star, but its not like db or dh is a cake walk either

Personally, it shouldn’t cost money at all, you should have to prove it to your server, and each person who applies for commander should be put into the poles, if say 7/10 of the server votes yes for a person, then they get the tag.

My personal thoughts, if a server can’t hold their own, they can’t hold their own, they shouldn’t get handicap help. This isn’t a child’s game.

My problem here is…. There was no warning WHATSOEVER… well i guess 30 seconds, but more like 30 minutes would have been nice, first, these are just personal issues… but i’m sure people on about EVERY server had this problem too. Its reset night, ANET knew tons of people would be on, the least they could do was give out a warning. A few others and myself lost a few omega golems, not only 5 gold but the skill points too.
