If Desolation seriously want to beat Vizunah, then player will have to be prepaired to wake up early, 6am and go battle. Too many are fighting to get into WvW at reset and popular times. You server needs you to get up early and theres plenty of talk about this on Desolation Forums

Although I agree with this, I think there are a lot of adults that play this game with erm Jobs so we will im afraid on Deso always be strong after work. This is proven out I believe repeatedly during prime time.
There are plently of people not working 9 – 5. I myself work odd hours. Sometimes 1:30pm till 11pm. Even at that I have repeatly got up at 6am at least once a week. if people did so even one morning a week you would see a massive change.
Good for you, I would still say conventional working hours if you include travel is 6am-7pm. When all borders are full in prime time after 6/7pm Desolation wins imo.
I run this build on my Guard Full PVT Armour, Soldier Runes and Cleric Trinks, I like it a lot.
I think the good necros that stayed with the class adapted their builds understood the strengths that necros have and are maximizing them, now 6 months into the game they are easily beating new players, rerolls or those that underestimate them.
I now play my Necro and have embraced DS, I feel as the the class with the spec I run is strong but not OP.

As has been said a Power/Wells staff/dagger+horn build is awesome wvw Knights+Beryl 30 in SR build around popping in and out of DS you will get kittenloads of badges. Awesome zerg v Zerg spec imo.

Culling was improved immediately after patch. However yesterday it was terrible??
Even with not that many people around very strange.
Currently the D/D build has the same burst power of a Thief, same mobility as Thief, same survival as Thief (through damage reduction rather than stealth tho, i.e. backstab hits them for 4-5k).
Considering it’s a melee spike build it’s fine tho, the real problem to me seems to be overpowered healing that comes with it.
Getting from almost dead to full in seconds is the sort of thing tends to get a lot of hate like WoW Paladins.Anet wants to nerf AoE dmg but honestly it seems wrong to me. AoE is ok.
Healing on the other hand should be like it was planned to be, i.e. your heal skill is your only reliable heal everything else is flavor minor healing – if your health gets low and your 6 is used, you either escape or die, you don’t reset a fight.Also, if a nerf is to be handed to Eles next patch I hope they will get staff buffs in return.
It’s a joke that against a melee Ele it’s a tough fight and a staff Ele is a free kill, find some balance Anet…
Same burst as a Thief rofl this is the kind of pathetic comment that can only come from an inexperienced player. I play both and the D/D ele has nowhere near the burst a thief is capable of especially when you factor into that most DD ele’s are built to outlast whilst doing damage.
If you get killed by a DD Ele then you stayed around long enough to do so, not because he bursted you down lol.
I tried this yesterday to mixed results full invader set including Shield and Sword , Scepter + Focus on switch.

BB how on earth do you maintain the nighttime numbers? The amount you had in Deso BL were ridiculously impressive seeing it was 3am for you guys how can you maintain that?

yep there are some places in wvw with sp and the odd supply camp but they could make a few more objectives in those places that people rarely travel through to get the whole map utilised that will some way to giving wvw a more open feel. Instead of zerging around or simply doing a supply camp run in small groups.

Truly competetive hmmm given only your criteria of what that is? Might as well play counterstrike for that.
It is possible to have open world and ffa but developers wont bother due to as I have already said a lot of people saying they want it, but when it is and has been available they cant take the “griefing & ganking” for me personally I miss it and wish it wasnt like that.
Make churning earth a reasonable cast time until then leave LF alone
the only people CE hits without LF is those that have gone to make a coffee

To me it keeps the game interesting makes you not go into stupid auto pilot, its immersive!
Having a swashbuckler jump you is annoying when your trying to hand in a quest but trying to deal with that, getting away or even winning is a great feeling.
Sometimes you might have to give up and go do something else till they move on
Anyway that post there is exactly why it doesnt happen.
Would love it also but this game is just not built that way and wont ever be.
In the games I have played with real Open World and even FFA servers all the guys who talk the talk in forums give up within a day or so of being ganked cos they cant get to this or that area or quest finisher etc

was the best implementation of open world and rvr and tbh it died a death once the people who can really take an open world environment left and anyone who came to try it out got destroyed and demoralised.
Nagafen in EQ2 was also similar.

ridiculous way to fix this “problem” there are hardly any OP or Strong healing abilities in this game. DO Anet actually consult with players in trying to find solutions to percieved problems?
