Saria’s determination and patience is incredible, Overall with her leadership GoM will become a better WvW server. If only we could clone her! If we would all would be willing to listen and follow her directions (as well as all commanders) and commit to WvW, GoM will soon become in a higher tier.

Fantastic job setting up the CoM guild guys, well done. I see us bumping up here soon. ;P

I remember reading somewhere that the first time you do 10, you’ll be guaranteed a ring and if you want more rings you have to do the daily-grind. You’re also going to be guaranteed another ring at 20, and another reward at 30, 40, etc, etc.

Of course, that was a while ago, they might have changed their minds.

It is rather funny that all the defenders evade the simple problem:

Total RNG with a chance at nothing sucks. END of story. It was a stupid mechanic back in 1999 in Everquest a game built on camping and grinding, and it is a stupid mechanic in GW2 a game released in 2012.

Let me put it like this:
The 2012 version of Everquest 1 – ALL nameds drop at least one item of use. The devs of the game realized killing mobs to get nothing was not fun, nor has it ever been fun. It is sad that GW2 devs don’t realize this. They fail at loot tables. They make it either too easy (exp token system) or too frustrating (Fractal RNG drop rate).

I have YET to hear any viable defense to RNG other than “you don’t need it”, but that is hardly the point.

Edit: To me the “you don’t need it” debate sounds like saying Corpse runs and dropping all items on you body is a good idea, because if you don’t die you don’t have to run!

Map Battle Markers

So what causes Battle markers exactly?

I thought if you have like 6+ people invading and attacking a keep with no one defending only “under attack, white markers” only until defender comes and attacks does battle markers show up.

But someone told me if you have 6+ people and attack a keep(with no one defending) yellow battle markers come up…..

So yea what exactly casues Battle markers to show?

125 fractals. 8 Dailies… and? 0 vials, 0 globs, 0 rings.

Oh and of course I don’t have 2+ alts to farm dailies and give them to main…

Getting pretty discouraged, I can’t even progress and play the game how I would like to, simply because of RNG. I am sure there more then a few feel the same way.

I have a friend that got 6 vials by the time he hit level 10 and got a ring first try.

Seems like very poor design, and could simply added first daily per tier a guaranteed drop, or able to purchase… doesn’t take much to implement it… should have already.

Seeing nowhere to support people saying fotm resets each week, I can easily see people getting stuck at certain levels. Unless you will hit an agony wall, and actually beneficial to go to lower scaled with other players. Which doesn’t seem to be the case, because the loot will get better higher the rank is. So why go lower?

Example: Mostly everyone (guild or pugs) is at rank 15, were your at rank 12… but pugging rank 12 is pretty much impossible because most people that are decent are at rank 15. And if you can’t get people to go to lower ranks, your SoL.

aka, harder the dungeon gets.. harder it is to pug.
