I wouldn’t mind a bit of variation, and unique Guild Emblems. I submit for consideration, a request for the possibility of user generated art to make each guild feel more personal to the players who wear their guild armor proudly.
- ANet sets parameters (Size, format, etc.)
- Public vote by peers in the community, to keep anything offensive or suggestive, etc., out of consideration.
- ANet approves or disapproves submitted “Emblem” for Guild or Account usage.
- Implement via Gold or Gem unlock.
This is not a new idea by any means. However, I feel this would definitely bring about some more player-guild connection, and participation in GW2 as well as much needed positive and quality interactions in the forums.
I appreciate any feedback.

Very well done! I enjoyed the video. It was edited very well, and of course “Fear Not This Night” is a beautiful song to accompany it.
I was also confused why a Ranger could not use a Rifle. Rifles are a ranged weapon, correct?
I could be wrong, but this smells like a bot operation. I apologize if you are legitimate, however, if you bought all 750 Oric Ingots off the Trade Post, I refer back to my reply.
Good luck to you and everyone you traded with.
I question, if you have 750 Oric Ingots, why couldn’t you just max out all crafting disciplines in a couple of hours? Switching disciplines cost silver, which is nothing to you apparently. I think a GM will definitely review this question.
I’m a big fan of Warrior, I have a thief as well, and a ranger, however, for PVE, if you want a worry-free toon, level a warrior.
One thing I would highly recommend before committing, make a character, get through the basic tutorial mission, and head to pvp. You are automatically level 80 in that particular game mode, and you can practice with the different skill sets, armor, runes, etc. Beat up some dummies or moving npcs. You can test builds, and see if you might actually enjoy it. Visit the vendors for weapons, runes, etc, free of charge, and have fun experimenting.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
I was in an overflow server and there were bots…
I want the Dervish. I didn’t read all the replies, but here’s one for the Derv.
They are everywhere, low level, to high areas. I have been through more than one server to realize this is a problem. I have stopped reporting bots, simply because not only does it take away time from my gameplay, but, the blatant abuse is fairly apparent. I observed 8-10 bots running in one location! Will ANet cruise the servers and tag bots, and get rid of them, or do they rely on players for the reports?
Vet from the original Guild Wars looking for old friends from the Martyrs alliance, in particular, friends from [SNOW], [ZEAL]. and [BURN]. Send me a message where you guys are hiding out.

I think there should be an independent server dedicated to the forums from the game servers. When the game went down, everybody checked the forums. I don’t check FB or Twitter because I don’t use either. This is a big project for ANet. A separate server to see what’s what would be great since many of us don’t use many of these social applications to keep in the loop.
I think with the many nostalgic reminders throughout the game, ANet wanted us to remember how awesome it was to head to places in GW1 like Ascalon City, or Kaineng City, Lion’s Arch, Kamadan and so forth, how we used to be more social in chat, with our silly WTB’s and WTS’s….
Oh the good old days!
