Skyfall, after 80 we’ll be gaining “mastery points” after 80, I believe they did say that “hero points” were different.
Quote from Specialisations part 2:
Hero Points will be limited, and they’ll be earned strictly through what are currently called skill challenges (these will become known as hero challenges) and leveling up. A level 80 character that’s done none of the hero challenges should be able to unlock more than enough skills, specialisations, and traits to make several unique full builds. A single character who’s done a fair amount of the hero challenges should be able to unlock all of the core specialisations, skills, and traits. PvP players won’t have to worry about unlocking anything, as all skills and traits will be automatically unlocked upon entering the Heart of the Mists.
I think the hero points we get from levelling up are from 1-80, while post-80 we’ll get mastery points instead.
Scrolls of knowledge are an item that grant a single skill point on use. However, since skill points are leaving us with HoT, what will happen to existing ones?
Should I use all my scrolls right now and get them converted to the new materials, or leave them?
Edit: It didn’t cross my mind at the time, but what will happen to the items we currently buy with skill points? I’m just going to assume that they won’t be purchased with the finite number of “hero points”

In order to make the Jeweler’s backpack you need to make bronze, iron and steel, which Jeweler’s can’t do. Not really critical I’ll admit, but it’s there so I thought I’d point it out. Just seems a bit silly to me that to make the backpack for one profession half the work needs to be done in a different one.
So, my dive master achievement is stuck on 36/37 jumps done, even though i’ve done them all (yes, even Aetherblade secret jump)
I found the particular jump that seems to be broken for me, it is the jump slightly north-west of the Remanda waypoint in Bloodtide Coast. I think it won’t count as done for me because my armour doesn’t go back to normal after I land in the water. And yes, this problem doesn’t occur on every other dive spot, which is why I think that this is the one that doesn’t give me credit for the achievement. The picture shows what happens after the jump, as you can see, the diving goggles are still equipped after I’ve landed in the water,
I recently got to 200g after about 2 months of farming. I immediately bought the 2 recipes i needed and all I needed to complete them. I then sank 150g into the mystic toilet to get The Legend.
200 rare staves and about 30-40 exotics later: nothing.
Now I’m broke. The stupid RNG on this game just cost me hours and hours of my life for literally nothing. (Well, I have 2 practically useless gifts now) So Anet, man up, make ALL the current precursors craftable by Christmas, and I hope you send everyone an apology for (pardon my language) kittening around for so long. Why should some idiot with dumb luck get to charge 800g for a precursor? I’d say that’s far more game-breaking than making them craftable.
I did this boss about 2 days ago myself… the FE was there (I’m guessing since the last time it went up) and when you finished the “protect the golem for 5 minutes” part it would immediately skip the fight, the NPC would say her lines, and leave. No loot for anyone.
just thought I’d bump this as the dwayna bug was pretty annoying and should be fixed
This entire path should not even have been made, that’s just how bad it is.
a) dwayna goes and heals whenever she reaches 50%, so no matter how fast you are it’s impossible
b) grenth’s insta-kill still shows up from time to time after killing him
all I can remember for now, but the first one’s basically path-breaking.
also, the path is overall too hard, pretty good group took bout 4 hours just to get to dwayna
can’t give me back my time, just fix the path is all i’m asking
I agree, Suriel is crappy to beat
Anet should change the gauntlet so it’s in an instance (cough cough) that way people with super low FPS (like me) actually have a chance to beat the gauntlet. I cam CLOSE one time, but that was because all I did was stand in the pools (sucks cause I’m an ele) then I was downed and her shield came back up.
Jormag is actually a pretty alright boss. Just keep an eye on the event window and it’ll tell you EXACTLY when he’s stunned or not. (and the thing about charrzooka barrels dispensing flame throwers is BS, there are 2 types of barrels, one for charrzookas, and one for flamethrowers)
Still broken… only has the “greet” option, so I can’t talk to her
