The thing that bothers me most is the lack of content. Anet said that they think they can do all the things that an expansion does in the living story. Well now we are halfway done with season 2, and there is still no content on the scale of an expansion.
Comparing the timelines of GW1 and GW2: gw2 was released 2 years ago, at this point in gw1’s life we had Nightfall for > 6 months and in 4 months we would get Eye of the North. That means at this point we had 3 continents to explore along with everything else. All of this was done when anet was far smaller and had far less resources than it has now.
As someone who has spent an enormous amount of time on anet’s games. This is very disheartening. I want this game to succeed, I really do, but at this point all I can get myself to do is go online for dailies every once in a while. This game has HUGE potential. I feel like that potential is being wasted.
Assuming the +1’s are 10s, and we start from 1 and only user 1’s; it would cost (2^69 + 1)/10 gold which I believe is 59,029,581,035,870,565,171.2 which, if I didn’t make an error, is 59 quintillion gold.

I am having similar issues, the game is almost unplayable for me.
Apparently, i get heavy packet loss from:

same issue here, completed JP and nothing out of chest, completed again and got 3 gifts.
I have had this issue a few times since the Lost Shores update where something happens and my guild wars 2 process hangs/doesn’t respond and the green cursor arrow remains my cursor even when I alt-TAB, I cannot kill the process with task manager and have to use some fancy keyboard shortcuts to avoid restarting my computer.
I have to Windows-R and run command prompt and taskkill /F the guild wars 2 process.
It doesn’t happen very often but is extremely annoying when it does.
I am running Windows 8 x64, AMD FX8120, Radeon 5770, 8gb ddr3, OCZ vertex 3 SSD
Thinking back this seems to only happen when I waypoint to another location within the same zone.
I am also unable to play; with the current amount of lag,
the game is unplayable I can see players moving around and chat
working but any time I try to interact with anything server-side
i.e. opening a bag in my inventory, sending a message in chat,
or talking to an NPC, I get a delay of over a minute.
I am on a 1Gbit connection

like Ben above me, I get timeouts when trying to ping the Anet servers

I have been noticing more and more lag as of late but i am not sure that has anything to do with this.
