Alright noted thanks. Nobody gave their impressions on Dmg Guard so far though? am i better off playing something thats meant to do dmg or does it work. Keep in mind i mean work in a higher competitive PvP scenario.

Yeah i have a engi too hence why i decided maybe dmg guard would be nice.

I got back to the game after a fairly long time.
I leveled a engi to 80 and guard to 80 ive never been a hardcore player and i am just now
starting to try out PvP( Rank 14 ).

I was trying out a Bunker guard but i cant seem to hold a point long enough( I feel a bit squishy to be perfectly honest) i played a bunker ranger and i thought i had more versatility in terms of dmg and survivability. I thought of rolling a Warrior but i dont feel like i am ready to forsaken my guard just yet. Can someone give me good bunker builds ? and can Guard actualy capture point in a dmg specc ? if so i would appreciate to get a dmg specc also. I heard they dont do as much dmg as a warrior but can still be pretty decent.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long question, look at it this way im trying to improve unlike some people rushing into pvp head first not knowing anything about pvp or their classes

So quick question i read on forums that they needed a nerf amongs other things.

Well ive been pvping the last 2 days as both ranger and guard and i havent died to a single ele so far in a 1v1 scenario that is.They dont seem to hit that hard , the only thing thats annoying is their mobility.

So can anyone explain why the hate on eles ? Ive been wanting to roll one when i came back to the game but they dont seem as strong as people make them up to be.

For starter i am a Bunker Guardian while i enjoy the class ALOT, i would love to be able to fill a dps roll or be more “bursty”.I want to get into Spvp and Tpvp with both class but i want to be able to be something else then a bunker, while guardian can do decent damage i kinda feel its not their job to do so.

I tried ele and didnt quite like it, and everyone i talked to just bashed necro to the ground. That leaves me with 2 option A: Engineer B: Mesmer

i want to be able to switch from pure dps to semi survivability semi dps.
and i want to be usefull in my group.Wich class between the 2 has the more burst potential, the more sustain damage, the more mobility/survivability and least but not last usefullness in Spvp and Tpvp

( PvE is failry easy imho so any class can be usefull this is strictly PvP wise)
