Well call me old school but that was one reason I loved GW1, I bought the game and I had the game. Mini expansions like sorrows furnace, EotN, etc were free and always available as such, as advertised.

If Eye of the North was free, why do I have a receipt in my email paying $20 for it?

Anyways, I find Guild Wars 2 to be vastly superior to various F2P games. I remember playing some F2P games that required me to pay to see the rest of the core story (that’s my main problem with F2P games). With GW2, you get a full story. Living World is additional content added (beyond the core content) so I see no problem having to pay for it. It’s also possible the full season bundle price will be cheaper than paying for each episode individually.

I’m definitely voting for Kiel. I’m not going to be swayed by a single fractal.

I have my dodge bound to my scroll wheel. Just click it down and voila… I find it to be a suitable place. Maybe just play around with where you have the jump bound too and see what works best for you. Seems everyone is different and what might seem “natural” for one person may seem very out of place for another.

This is what I use. It just feels so right using the middle mouse button to dodge. The only thing is that it makes dodge jumping even more difficult.

I finally got the achievement tonight and now have a shiny new title! I had kept a checklist of baubles in the past and didn’t come across any new ones tonight. The only things that were different were:
1. I stowed all my baubles in the bank so I had zero on me when I entered zone 3.
2. I went back and purchased the one-time purple bauble in the extra secret shop (this was last night though, not tonight).

I don’t think #2 would have made a difference, but is it possible that once you hit your max baubles they stop counting toward the achievement? I was very thorough with my check list the last time I attempted this run so I’m thinking there must have been some other condition that was blocking the achievement from registering.

Interesting. I’ll try #1 and see if I get the achievement. If I don’t, I’ll try using a different character to see if that does it.

Same thing happened to me. I’m trying to do it solo. Maybe it will work after a few times, but it would be a little tiring running through it several times in a row.

when did they change the arah armor? what did it look like before the change?

You can check out the Arah heavy armor before the change in the attachment. Also the exotic karma armor was different before as well.

I also ran into this problem. I was able to complete it after a while though.

I personally didn’t have a problem with the old FOV, but the new one is nice. I’m in favor of it.

So all other mmo’s force you to roll on one server then charge you to roll on another completely different server?

Im not taking about server transfers at all. Im talking about the ability to roll fresh on a new server which is something that this game does not offer. Heck, it even lacks the most basic of MMO features. A trade system.

There are a lot of other things that put other MMO’s, paid as well, above this game, but since it seems ANet ban when people mention them, it’s better not to let the thread descend into hate and vitriol.

The reason you can’t just roll a new character on a new server is because of World vs World. How awkward would it be to play WvW on a character one night, then play on the opposing server during the same match the next night. There will be a guesting system in the future that will allow you to play PvE content on other servers without transferring.

There’s no player to player trade system because they want you to be using the trading post. They might add player to player trading in the future though for the sake of additional options.
