Guild Wars 2

Well I can imagine that having both team in there be friends only then it can be exploited for easy achievements. But if it works like tPvP does now as in you can make a team yourself but get matched against a random one I see no real exploitation problem.

I geuss what I’m mostly trying to say is that something like aspect arena could have easilly been a team game rather then a hot join.

Southsun survival for instance could be easilly exploited if it were friends, given that’s a free for all.

Really Anet, why can’t we just get party versions of all these event minigames you’re making. The most enjoyable part of any MMO I’ve played was being able to take on content with my friends. So far you have only made all these minigames a solo random arena sort of thing.

You as a company wanted to conect the players of your game together but all you’ve been doing so far is drive excisting groups apart. Yes we can do dungeons, yes we can do tPvP and yes we can explore maps together. But doing minigames like the current politics living story ones together with friends would provide an excelent means of getting away from the grind of those other things.

I know it’s too late for you to change the current content but I as an avid GW2 player would really like to suggest that you make more team and party based content we can enjoy with friends.

Hi there fellow guildwars players! I am Holy, better known as Lianna Whitefire, the leader of Ordo Veritas. We are currently looking for new members to chat and game with!

Ordo Veritas is a casual focussed guild active in pretty much every aspect of the game. From running dungeons together to WvWvW to just chatting, anyone is welcomed into our guild.

The guild has been around since launch and has got a fair deal of upgrades. We don’t aspire to be a massive guild as we like to keep things more homely and personal.

So having come from GW1 I’m actually a bit let down by the lack of ability to costumize the stats on your armor. GW1 had the system of runes where you could make any armor you had usable for any build by slotting the right runes. Runes in GW2 are merely for set bonus I would say and don’t really change the overall feel of the armor you wear.

Take for instance the T3 cultural armor set for humans. The base stats on this armor heavilly focus on using a condition damage build. However when I want to roll my gaurdian as a more support or tank focussed character I would effectively be missing out on vital stats to achieve this.

I know that at this point in the game it’s hard to make changes to all excisting armor to go back to a system like GW1’s old rune system but maybe Anet could think of making armor sets use this system in the future. Maybe for a new tier of rarity item or armor one can only obtain in new areas.

And before anyone mentions it. I am aware of the fact that one could simply transmute the armor to give it the looks and stats you want but this just seems a bit off to me. I shouldn’t have to resort to buying 2 different armor sets entirely to be able to end up with 1 build I want to use.

So what’s your opinions people of the forum? How would you suggest one can diversify his stats better?

Still suffering from this bug also. It popped up first for me in BWE2 in a big WvWvW battle. It doesn’t happen enough to be completely gamebreaking but it does still pop up on occasion. I’ve never noticed it pop up onder normal play (i.e. PvE explorable areas and cities) but it does tend to happen in dungeons or large battles in WvW. Think it has something to do with performance once things get hectic wich end up bugging the sound card but ofcourse can’t say for sure.

I am someone that has a respectable MMO gaming carreer behind me. Ranging from games like perfect world, rappelz and ofcourse guild wars 1. I have always been guild or clan leader in these games. I always liked to make casual focused guilds that don’t have the strict rules some of the bigger ones might have. I liked having that personal touch with my guild mates, knowing who they are and what they are usually in to. With that in mind I formed OV right on the launch of GW2 head start together with some friends. Over the months after the guild has undergone several changes in management since the friends I started the game with all went back to other games. Nowadays me and the officers are trying to expand our family and provide a fun gaming atmosphere for all our members trough guild activities such as running dungeons or fractal parties and taking part in WvWvW.

The guild has a casual no nonsense attitude because my studies take up allot of time. I respect the fact that real life matters such as work, family or education take precident over gaming. I do tend to be active on a daily basis in wich I spend most of my time chatting with and managing the guild. When I come online I like to run into that family feel where you can chat with your guild mates and generally have fun. Gaming shouldn’t be a serious matter where it becomes your second job. So fun is always what I go for.
