Is there any other exotic items which have special stat distributions? Also I’m looking for pve items with pvp knights distribution (vit, pow, pre.)
i thought you were gonna say
and you found out you can just buy it off the tp for 1 silver
i think it is ok for a full support spec but otherwise its very crap
there is no cooldown for cleansing water afaik
15 point water trait gives a flat heal not regen
5 point water trait , soothing mist, gives a type of regeneration which is not the regeneration boon so it does not work with cleansing water
im guessing they were barely done in time for launch and they will be working on more later.
i had this problem before. the server became unfull 2 days after. maybe i got lucky
they shouldnt have nerfed scepters then
also can someone post the numbers for combos; im too lazy to test them.
I agree. I think the elemental is good power wise but it seems out of place design wise.

it doesnt really matter how fast you kill them. in a zergfest you wont be able to stomp them for your reward and they will get ressed. in a small battle you just need to be able to chase them.
but yeah, you should always play a class that you think is OP. its more fun that way.
be sure to play some spvp to get a feel for them

as a LoL player i expect a move with a delay to be super awesome.
for example the blitz hook or pudge hook is effectively an instant kill in many situations, yet nobody uses in competition because it is expected to not hit because it has a 1 second delay before firing.

i reccomend using a naga or similar mouse but do not bind skills to it
i just mash the buttons
cd isnt so important bc you prob wont be able to cleanse twice in 1 fight, and mist will prob be up by next fight
I think a major problem is that loot scaling doesn’t really work. You get like 10 times the value of loot in cursed shore than a low level zone.
I thought it would be more like
1. Hit orichalcum nodes
2. Sell orichalcum
3. Repeat

They should make something that’s similar to ranked solo/duo queue LoL. A single non-tournament 5v5 game where you are automatched based on elo. Get rid of the stupid waiting time; everyone has to press ready at the start or the match won’t go ahead.
You want to change the world, but there are also millions of others who do. Only few exceptional people will make any significant impact to the world, or else whatever they do will just be diluted by each other.
A game where you can make a difference in the world is EVE online.
Even if they added raids, nobody would do them more than once because there is no gear with better stats as a reward.

I think it would be great if they balanced the weapons so they are all usable first.
Whirlpool does ridiculously high damage but the trident skills do ridiculously low damage.

I play with naga and nostromo but I don’t think they are necessary. You should be fine with a few modifiers.
If you are in pve its fine to only use 1 or 2 attunements; that’s what I do.
Ether renewal is not really any good because the long channel; glyph of elemental harmony is one of the best heal spells. Combined with easy access to condi removal through traits and water skills, there is no reason to take ether renewal imo.
The cooldown for ether renewal is not really that good because it starts counting after you channel it, so it is basically equivalent to the traited glyph of elemental harmony.
In my build if i want to heal during battle, I will use glyph of elemental harmony and I will switch to water attunement. This means I will heal:
4992 (base heal)
1609 (11 second regen from secondary effect)
1609 (11 second regen from inscription trait)
for a total of 8210 with 20 second cd.
If you use cleansing water trait it will heal over 9000 aswell as remove 2 conditions.
Also i will heal:
732 (5 second regen from elemental attunement)
1078 (11 second soothing mist)
and remove a condition with cleansing wave trait
and whatever healing spell I throw out while in water

Elementalist is the Jack of All Trades, Not a One Trick Pony: And this is how it should stay

I don’t think anyone called ele a one trick pony.
When I think jack of all trades, I think tanky dps (because I’m LoL player) like warriors; high raw strength (damage and survivability.)
I would say staff ele is a support type character, as in they have low raw strength, but they have many other effects. They heal, they cc, put area of effects on the ground, create combos, etc.
I think there is a problem that eles are only really good at support; they are great in groups, but bad solo. They are kinda overpowered in dungeon and in zergfests, but kinda crappy in solo pve, and spvp. People want to spec their eles to be good at soloing, but the system doesn’t really allow it.

I think they should make it so you can weapon swap like other proffesions but only out of combat; this would kinda fix your problem.
2 elements per weapon would be a balance nightmare, but I still think it would be cool if you could choose weapons per attunement.
I agree because greatswords look awesome
I think its ok to have imbalanced downed states if the classes are balanced otherwise. But they aren’t, and normalizing downed state strength would make it much easier to balance.
(edited by Hotdogs.8934)
I think a major problem is that they have too many skillshots (and ground targeted abilities) which become worse as you vs better players.
(edited by Hotdogs.8934)
necro has death shroud too
i think ele was ok in beta but they got nerfed too much now they kinda suck, except in certain situations
problem is ele has crappy base defenses and dps is not better than other classes. they kinda make up for that with support abilities.
(edited by Hotdogs.8934)
I think you can only make that judgement if you played all the classes alot. There isn’t enough good teams to see what is actually good through top level play.
Some thoughts that I haven’t put much thought into:
Upgrades with fun should not be tied to armor, why not tie them to traits or something easier to obtain so that it is more accessable.
Less is more. In gw1 you had extreme customization of skills, but arenanet have changed the system to be more restrictive.
I’m not sure about this but I think the way it is setup is that some components can be traded, but some cannot. So you can play other toons to obtain those, and I’m pretty you could run through multiple lvl 80 characters and still not have enough of the tradeables to make one legendary.
I prefer it to be this way because it shows commitment to the character with the weapon.
(edited by Hotdogs.8934)
Kinda unrelated but you should be able to rearrange the weapon skills.
It is not a problem imo. There are many factors to balance on and base armor is only one and its not that important. For example the base hp of a necromancer is 18,372 and the base hp of a guardian is 10,805.
(edited by Hotdogs.8934)
The way I see it, it doesnt matter how expensive a legendary skin is because the harder it is to obtain the more it is worth.
I play the game in a window which is not as tall as my monitor because it increases the FoV. Please add an FoV option so i can play in fullscreen.
no, unless you use a macro to avoid getting kicked from the server
one of my friends cannot play the game because the fov makes him sick
fov is by far the worst thing in gw2
