Just wanted to express my gratitude for the new content, I’m really liking season 2 so far. Season 1 was pretty “meh” until the whole destroy Lion’s Arch thing. Even then I feel like I couldn’t appreciate season 1 at all until it was over and the dust had settled.
Love the story so far. There’s a legitimate mystery going on and even though it was short what we got was very satisfying and left me wanting more. I especially loved seeing Scarlet’s old lab. Unfortunately I can only appreciate her character now that she’s dead.
The dialogue seems, at least to me, to have improved significantly. There’s a lot more humor and the characters seem to have more personality then before. I also feel like the actors are delivering better performances then they did in the past. Finally I care about what happens to Marjory, Kasmeer, Rox, Braham, and Taimi.
The Story Journal, not being able to replay the story content was my biggest complaint about season 1. It just sucked if you had to miss something because you were out of town or it turns out you over-looked a particular story instance or you just wanted a refresher on what happened before. So glad this will be in-game moving forward.
Dry Top is a really cool map and very fun. Maybe not the best map in game but the fact you have to use the aspect crystals to navigate the area makes it very unique and something that would have never been possible in GW1. I hope we’ll see more unique and interesting maps like this one.
So overall I was very skeptical about Season 2 but the first release was very good and I’m actually excited for the next update.
PS: I want Belinda’s sword! Make it happen Arenanet!
Not all the Halloween events are meant to be completed by everyone, some are reserved for higher level characters.
Well you don’t need to be max level to get all the pages. I got them all on my level 55 thief, probably would have managed if I was lower then that. Honestly I agree with the practice of having the majority of the content be available to everyone but reserving some for higher level characters.
Props to you Arenanet! You went above and beyond. Hope King Thorn shows up again on Halloween with more of Mad King says and his awful jokes. Hope Wintersday will be equally awesome!
I so want an Endless Ghost tonic! Or as I like to call it, a haunted bedsheet!
Honestly I think people should be able to buy the weapon skins directly from the gem store.
Love this puzzle, it is so well designed! It was a great challenge but tons of fun and so rewarding when I finally beat it. I’ll never get that Saturday back but I’m not complaining, it was a Saturday well wasted.
You kidding, I wasted my Saturday attempting this thing and it was a blast! If it wasn’t fun I wouldn’t have even bothered.
People stop complaining! If content is too difficult for you, don’t do it. If you don’t have fun with it, don’t do it. No one is forcing you to beat this jumping puzzle. No one is forcing you to play the game in fact. It’s just a game, if you’re not having a good time then move on and do something else.
I wouldn’t call it racism but it is a shame people are being so hateful because of the size of ones character. Yet the people complaining are often humans, the medium sized race. If they want to practice what they preach they should be on an Asura. Or just not complain because ultimately success or failure at the puzzle is based on your own ability not who you’re with. Even when I was in a group with three bulky norns and two charr I was frustrated by their size but I never felt that they caused my failure. I can understand why people lash out, they’re frustrated and need to get it out somehow. Rather then blame other people who were in the same boat as me I just blamed imaginary banana peels for my constant falling which was great because I often got a “lol” or “sorry” or “it was me” in response.
Yeah I was very disappointed when I discovered this. I initially invested in Marksmanship to make a longbow build with a lot of damage and vulnerability. I really hope this gets fixed in a future update.
I don't understand the point of designing off hand light skills
in Thief

Yeah they’re pretty pointless. The only time you really need them in during the tutorial and then as soon as you get out you get your first off-hand.
First is my norn guardian, and next two is my norn necromancer (though he’s only level 5)
Here’s my ranger, who is my main. The second is my thief, I have new armor for her now though.
As a ranger I have absolutely no reason to use it. It’s basically just Heal as One with a longer recharge.
I understand that the racial skills are there for flavor and not meant to be used seriously but there’s absolutely no reason to use it. It’s a complete waste of skill points.

“The Paladins of Eternal Truth [POET] is a guild of principles, teamwork, friendship, and all around enjoyment of the Guild Wars universe. Our mission is to have fun and grow closer as a guild as we explore and expand across the world set before us, and to do so with honor and integrity "
-Rayvn Silverwind (Leader/Founder of POET)
The Paladins of Eternal Truth started as a Guild Wars 1 guild and have now made the transfer to the new game in Guild Wars 2. Above all we are a guild of virtues. So if you’re looking for a guild that’s more mature and friendly [POET] may be right for you.
We’re a smaller close knit guild, it’s always been about the quality and not quantity of our members for us. We aim to keep our guild family friendly and have a strict no swearing policy in guild chat. But above all we’re just here to have some fun together because guild teams ROCK!
We try to have weekly events such as working on map completion and having crafting nights. We’re starting to expand into dungeons now that our core members have reached high enough levels. In Guild Wars 1 we had popular events like Choose Your Own Adventure Night which will undoubtedly come back. We also have a proud tradition of storytelling and encouraging creativity. Of course we also do a lot of spontaneous grouping so if you want some help/company, just ask!
If you want to have some fun and goof off in guild chat, if you want a guild of friendly and helpful people, if you want to swap stories around the virtual fire, if you want people who will do a dungeon with you and will be there when you fail and when you succeed, then POET may be the guild for you!
