my gripes wit this game right now
1. cool content, massive XP grind for anything from masteries to skillpoints. i shouldnt have to run around doing event trains for 3 hours to gain half of the lvling bar on a near dead map.
2. rewards are lackluster and imo worse than the core game (legendary wyverns?)
3. needs more people in maps. some of the maps at certain times are near dead.
i play across 4 different characters equally and think the 400 hero points required to unlock per toon is ridiculous. it seems like a chore and a job rather than fun repeating map completion over and over again.
game crashes consistenly when trying to harvest certain nodes like airship cargo, flax seeds, etc . . .
id like to suggest adding mystic clovers into the new wallet system
right now it is just taking space in the bank and serves no other purpose other than crafting legendaries
just 1 shot him lol
i believe a party leader system would be much better and safer overall for both sellers and runners. right now there is still griefing without consequences even with a so called majority votekick system. party chat log shouldnt be wiped after being kicked as well. it should tell who votekicks, joins, and leaves even after being kicked. there is no logic in wiping the party chat after being booted.
this new party kick system does not improve anything. in a party of 4, it still takes 2 to kick a person and then follow up with a quick kick on the last person.
The placeholder process doesn’t work anymore. We tried this the other night and when the first placeholder dropped so that the second pug could join via LFG, the second pug immediately kick voted with the first pug. Sure, they lost the first pug’s gold, but could then sell for at least twice what they lost. And honestly, I don’t think some of these people care about lost gold, they just like being able to grief.
That being said, a proxy party DID work for us last night, so while it will be rough on soloers, a duo party should still be able to sell? It will definitely take longer though and requires a lot more trust on the part of the buyer.
I still think that the devs should just put a flag on the dungeon bosses and players – if 1+ boss in dungeon are dead but no player in group has a flag that they were involved in the kill then RESET the dungeon.
proxy definitely works, as 2 players tried to join my friends post just to find out they cant boot instance maker. so they both left.
best to just duo or trio rather than solo it.
Firstly, there is no party politics at all occuring. It’s just plain theft. Secondly, the LFG system was implement 1 year ago and to say it’s in beta is just an excuse on your part.
Apologises we didn’t realise you owned dungeons.
Im glad anet are taking steps to stop dungeon selling, its almost as bad as gold selling and they should be banned.
what steps are you talking about? i am unaware of any proactive measures Anet is currently tackling on dungeon selling (enlighten me). how does selling a service warrant a ban? please keep personal opinions to yourself and stay on topic.
the point is that it only takes 2 people to hijack a party and kicking original members of the party out and completing the dungeon for themselves or purposely griefing other players.
i already had 2 players come in and wreck a CoF 2 run today, midway through. there needs to be a fix soon.
Just FYI, the kicking trolls are out in full-force. I currently have a CS support ticket in for getting harassed for over an hour last night through the LFG tool. My guildie and I were non-stop kicked within seconds of putting up a post.
I don’t expect much to happen, but it would be nice to be proven wrong.
just keep reporting
we need as many griefers out to do what they do best
that way anet can fix this mess up
There is no problem with a system to choose from. We need two options, how to open a dungeon:
Ownership
It should be visible to the others who join. The owner cannot be kicked and has the ability to kick by himself. Others have no abilities. No Ownership
Everyone can vote to kick a member. The majority has to agree (2/3, 3/4, 3/5).What’cha think?
the no owner system would work alot better. it would be similar to the system used in the first guild wars.
i hope we have even more instance stealers and griefers in that case.
in my case, 2 players joined quickly and kicked me instantly and my my friend.
not a single word was exchanged. my friend tried to join the party again as they didnt take it down yet but they both just kicked him out and whispered to him “wtf?”
there was no politics or drama involved in my case. just two guys wanted to steal the instance or trolling
my proposal to fix this change in a party of 5 would mean 4 members would have to votekick.
so if 4/5 in a party – 3/5 should be able to kick
3/5 in a party – 2/5 should be able to kick
even if it is a bannable offense and we report players, it is only a bandaid fix to the fundamental flaw of only requiring 2 people to kick the original members out of the party and stealing the instance
yea i reported them, i dont think anet will change anything about this in the near future.
i am just pointing out a flaw in the current system
clearly they are just abusing the LFG system for lulz
i actually jus got kicked by two players when me and my friend duo’ed arah and trying to sell the path
it should take more than 2 people to kick
recently got a Dawn and was wondering if CoE is the best place for charged cores/lodestones? and if so how frequent can u get them off chests?
another question is, would u be able to save by buying 2 cores and converting them or just straight up buy the lodestones?
any insight would help, thank you
