She’s like that since the beginning. Probably some missing dialogue… because when you actually choose one of those “options” she says coherent things.

You can’t possibly know how many times I’ve died because of the downed #3 skill bug. In fact I’ve lost a lot of money with waypoints and repairs because of it.

I hope you can fix this for the January-February update. If not, give some spare gold to Ranger players, because I could have saved a lot of money if this worked as intended.

People get punished because of exploits, but when the game “cheats” on us, we can only wait and show our best smile. How fair is that?

While this issue is highly visible, it doesn’t have as high of a priority as some of the other bugs we’re currently working on and is also looking like it will require programmer time to fix, so we don’t have an ETA on a fix yet. Thank you for your patience!

Although it discourages me to keep playing my personal story, simply because I’m tired to see bald characters here and there. It’s not only Zojja: All the characters that were supposed to show helmet during cutscenes are missing it!

It may not be gamebreaking per se, but it’s truly ruining some of our experiences.

Race: Charr
Sex: Female & male
Piece of equipment: Magus leggings (T3 Cultural light legs armor)

Could be possible to fix the clipping on the tail of this leg armor? It’s cultural Tier 3, and it costs 25G. None of the other cultural armors have clipping issues on the tail except for this one.

Could something be done about it? I’m not asking to have the same animation as for example the Dreadnought Tassets (which is awesome, by the way), but maybe something like the open skirt on the Wrangler Leggins will suffice.

I’m adding a screenshot to compar the issue and what I’m asking for. Please fix it, it’s cultural armor… it should be the one that respect charr’s tails the most!

There’s no permanent boon, no. It would be somewhat annoying if there was one storyline for one race that made them clearly superior to all other choices. (For example, if it was a healing boon, wouldn’t ALL groups expect any healing-spec’d character to have that boon?)

But you have to be careful with what you write, because it may lead to false expectations. Place yourself in the place of your public, and see how you would react. Perhaps not everybody see this “every path MUST be equal” so evident.

This “boon” could have perfectly been peace of mind to your character, because he/she has ridden himself/herself of a “burden”. But after freeing the White Stag I fail to see that the PC really showed any REAL concern.

There should be something else… the Stag could appear at your home, and if you talk to him, he could travel with you for a while, granting swiftness in the Grove maybe?

Not really gamebreaking (’cause you have the Nectar as well) yet it would add another layer of “awww, I remember this poor guy from that quest!” That way, the beautiful language I spoke of earlier can become something tangible for the users.

Just my two cents! I really like this game but there are some things in the Personal Story that could be tweaked, and I hope you take this as constructive criticism.

Charr Tier 2 Cultural armor (male & female):

Legion Visor & Legion Hauberk makes your character feel shy, making his/her face and torso turn red. Also, the textures gets really bad.

Jokes aside, please fix it. The Legion armor’s visor is my favourite helmet for the charr. Yet this bug is… awful. It takes away all the charm, not to mention they cost 1+2G both bugged pieces.

For me, the quest that makes you help Quinn was FAR more difficult. Enemies coming from nowhere? Quinn doesn’t help at ALL… that one was the one difficult.

It means buying a piece of armour with the ‘white’ tier. Almost all the weapon/armor vendors (the sword/helm icon on your mini-map) sell ‘white’ things.

I’ve posted this in Guild Wars 2 Guru forums too, but I thought it could be useful to have more answers.

It’s been almost five months since the game’s release, yet I’m unable to feel “good” with any of the characters I create. It’s like playing them until level 30 or so and then: BANG! Bored. I have a feeling that I’m having problems to feel attached to them.

I think I’ve pointed down the source of the issue, though: as a player I find difficult to emphatize with my character since he/she doesn’t have a fleshed personality and also, I can’t give him/her a personality of their own because later they react as they want in the Personal Story (scripted, of course).

They are neither a blank state (Shepard in the Mass Effect series) nor full fledged characters (Dante in Devil May Cry, Sora in Kingdom Hearts, etc.) and this thing in-between feels awkward to me.

The only thing WE CAN BE is some kind of… god? that decides what’s going to happen, but not HOW THEY REACT. I guess I was wrong, because that way I can hardly feel it’s MY STORY. Perhaps somewhere down the road I misunderstood the core philosophy of the Personal Story, but I would rather have more personal “answers” (since Ferocity/Dignity/Charming is completely useless right now, they’re just an icon) at exchange for “less” story. Maybe that’s just me, though.

Edit: Also, abut the personal story itself... how can I feel attached to ANY of the characters that appear there? It was difficult enough for me to help Quinn, because our "supposed friendship" was hardly fleshed. And it happens a lot, for what I've seen. It's like there's only black and white here...

I’m the only one that feels this way? I mean, I like to roleplay but ignoring a third of the game (the personal story) seems like throwing away an important chunk of it. I didn’t pay the money to act like if didn’t existed.

Someone knows how can I solve my… doubts? Yeah I know, I can just walk away, but first I need to know if there’s something else it could be done.

It’s a general bug.

Not only Zojja. ALL characters that were supposed to show their helmet: Soldiers at the intro-stage of humans, Sons of Svanir… etc. are missing it.

Please return it, I’m tired of seeing bald characters in my Personal Story :/

@aliquis: Sorry, that’s disappointing. But there are a ton of helmets that would win so much by showing their ears. Really. Or better yet, make the helmets/hoods with appropiate spaces for their ears, avoiding the clipping as much as possible.

Being as prominent as they are, I find it illogical that some helmets and hoods make Asura’s ears disappear. Why not leave them be like the Thief’s starter hood?

It just strikes me that my Asura suddenly has his/her ears cut because equipping a hood/helmet.

Someone else with me on this? (I also posted this on the Asura forum, but seeing it may be taken as a suggestion…)

It was present during the Thief preview -back when they revealed the profession- but I haven’t founded it in the PvP locker. Considering our actual options, it’s definitely awesome.

I’m aware that there are more important things to fix but I would like to remind the awesomeness this creature had before its swapping to a mere recolored Salamander drake.

Could you please give us back the skin of the old Marsh Drake? It’s already in the wilds, you just need to bring him back. I -and many other Rangers- adore this creature, and would be glad to see its return.

I firmly support the return of the crocodile-like creature. You already have the models, and I’m sure that your developers are more than capable of returning that awesome creature back to us Rangers.

Hi Durzlla, I want to clarify some things before continuing or closing the discussion.

1) I know it’s 45 seconds. But as I mentioned earlier, if my summoned Hyena lasts for 10 seconds, and the CD starts after it’s summoned, how much remains?

2) I didn’t know about that, so what’s the deal with saying that my post is wrong?

3-4) I tested it against the PvP golem-dummies, and the summoned hyena was hitting for less damage than the “real one”. After the target gets killed, it effectively disappears after a few seconds; it doesn’t seem as useful in my eyes.

And I haven’t said anything about Hyenas not being canines or whatever. It’s a game classification which I don’t care about. I just compared them because they happen to be in the same “group” –Fern Hound, Drakehound, Wolves and the Hyena.

What I’m saying it’s that it doesn’t seem fair as how they are now. I wasn’t asking for OPness, that would be boring.

I tested it in PvP, and the summoned Hyena doesn’t make as much damage as the original. Even with two creatures around, they’re still weaker and even more unreliable.

Either change the unique skill –something related to laughs, maybe?– and fix it’s stats, or make it more reliable –which is already a tough thing to do.

Hi, a fellow ranger here!

Experimenting with my pets in PvE, I’ve noticed the Juvenile Hyena’s “Power” stat is almost half the other pets in his family –the canine one.

One could say, “ok, that must be because of it’s unique skill that summons another Hyena”. This ally only lasts for… ten seconds? Then you have to wait another 35 seconds –the remaining CD of the skill– to be on the same level as the other canine.

I know there are some pets with lesser stats –which are usually the HoM ones– but I can understand that these ones are more for “show” because of their special skin.

But on the case of a normal pet, why is the Hyena so kittened when the other dogs make more damage and even have another unique skill? I just don’t get it.

And please don’t tell me to switch to another pet. All of them should be viable =/

You can report and then re-send to sender. That way you clean the mail but don’t take the money. That’s what I do.

In the wiki is listed as a bug. I don’t know whether is intended or not… I hope they answer soon.

Count me in too. Especially if they left the icon there… they already have the models for that pet, why not bringing it back? I really love drakes, but we don’t need -we don’t like- a recolored version. Really.

Last time I shared my Personal Story with a friend, after finishing the quest she didn’t recieve anything. Prior to this, a symbolic amount of karma was granted for helping me out. Is this working as intended, or it’s a bug?

It happens in all my characters so it’s pointless to give any further details.

Yes, I also kind of miss choosing what my character would say, instead of he/she speaking by him/herself.

Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by Mass Effect/Dragon Age but it WAS what I was expecting. Even though all my answers leaded to the same “quest”, sometimes I would like my character not to be that cheerful or dignified -specially when you ask us how our character deals with problems.

So, what does exactly the Personality System stands for? Right now it’s just a beautiful icon next to your character’s profession icon, so that means… nothing?

They’re both good suggestions, but I really appreciate the positive feedback. It’s not like life-or-death things but… if you don’t ask, you’ll never get it that’s for sure.

Well, my suggestions are simple.

- First, in the previous game we were able to dye our weapons.

Sometimes you just love the skin of a weapon but the colour is terrible -because you like to give your character a certain feel or theme-, like the Sylvari weapons for example that are too vibrant for my taste (or Nightmare which is too… nightmarish, for the lack of a better word!) so, why not enable us to dye our weaponry as well?

- Second, I would like to ask for the option of using the previous “circular” mini-map.

I thought it was perfect (just leave us to make it bigger!) and that’s fine for me. Perhaps there was a reason for this particular change but the more options we have, the better.

Bobby, for example I’m in the Sylvari arc of “A Splinter in the Flesh”, and its successive missions. Every character seems to miss only the first of their sentences except the Pale Tree, which doesn’t have ANY line.

I was playing charr with my friend (I was a Ranger lvl 8 and she was an Engineer lvl 7), and when I entered her instanced story, I couldn’t saw her cutscenes and after finishing the quest it didn’t gave karma for me.

Later I played a sylvari guardian (lvl 9) with a sylvari warrior friend (lvl 6) and I could see his quest (Mockery of Death) yet he couldn’t see mine (Called to Service).

Of course, no karma rewards either. I don’t know if the karma thing was intended but, there’s almost no point in sharing stories when you can’t even see them.

It seems there are a lot of problems with the Personal Story lately, I wonder if they got enough testing, because sometimes is just with “normal” progressing, not doing strange things at all. That shouldn’t escape tests ):

If it’s a bug, then I hope they do something about it. If it’s working as intended… I love the skin of those Ascalonian Weapons (specially the bows) but I don’t find the “night effect” as pleasant.

Or there’s any other way to obtain the “Day Ascalonian skin”? Anyhow I hope you gain the refund of your tears, adventurer.

Yes, this happens since the first Beta Weekend Event. But I guess now they have more important things to worry about.

The ideal thing would be that the game remembered all the names, even lock them down (not being able to change once you’ve settled it) if necessary.

Another bug I’ve noticed is that sometimes, when you’re a Ranger, getting near another Ranger’s pet will prompt you the “Charm” window; and of course you can’t tame them.

It’s a bit frustrating.

The problem comes when you talk to the Durmand Priory Representative, it doesn’t show the different icon (the “decision triangle” as I like to call it). When you finish talking with him, the game acknowledges that as if you’ve chosen them.

Sorry to be a tad impatient, but I really want to know something about this.

Some days ago, whenever I followed my friend in their Personal Story, at the end of it I was rewarded with a “symbolic” amount of Karma. It was fine, the quests are usually fun. Now I was exploring the Asura’s personal story with a pal, and it doesn’t reward you so far.

It’s working as intended? Thank you in advance.

Also, anyone knows if there’s a way to put the old mini-map? The one that was a circle instead of a square, as I thought it was more discrete. Thank you in advance.

I haven’t finished the quest, I’ve left my character there, with the rewards waiting to be claimed. ArenaNet, I need to know whether it’s reversible or not.

Hello all,

In this quest I only wanted to know more information about the Priory, NOT choosing their way. I wanted to follow the Vigil methods at all costs. I know this doesn’t mean I have chose to unite them permanently, but it pains me that “my story” has been poisoned by a Bug.

Can something be done about this or I’ll have to be forced with it? I’ll gladly appreciate it because I don’t like things to be chosen for me. Specially when I didn’t want to.
