I suspect that the Destiny’s Edge B Team will be the ones who will be taking up most of the new elite specializations. It will not cover every profession, much as how Destiny’s Edge only covered five of the (then) eight professions: elementalist, ranger, guardian, warrior, and thief.
“B” team lol. Sounds so cheesy but it’s so right
Yea, title says it all. I really want a class that has viable sword/shield pve skills, because guardian and warrior’s s/s combo is really situational.

We already know Trahearne and Jory are gonna be using GS as a necro.
and We know Rytlock is the first revenant.
Who is the dragonhunter? Dear Logan? If so, he has to follow dragonhunter lore and hate all things related to the dragon including sylvari.
I guess Kasmeer is going to be the new tempest.
Is countess Anise going to be a chronomancer?
So many speculations
Increasing party size? (Elite dungeons, etc.)

Elite dungeons in the future that needs a party of 10? would be awesome lol.
Maybe also a dungeon where all classes are needed would be pretty fun as well.

I think after these new specializations come out, we should be able to add new weapons in the game (it can make sense, because players are going into new regions and maybe enemies use different weapons).
Warrior – 2 Handed Axe
I think a 2 handed axe fits the warrior profession quite well. AOE, long reach, bleeding, maybe we can even introduce the “deep wounds” condition from Guild Wars lol.
Guardian – Polearm
A polearm fits the lore quite nicely. Idk about any additional skills it can contribute to the guardian, however.
Ranger – Spear/Trident
As a master of ranged weapons, I think the ranger should have the option of chucking spears at enemies. We already even have spears in the game as well, just make them usable on land
Thief – Crossbow
I definitely think a thief lacks a long range (pistols/shortbow not very long range) weapons and a crossbow fits the theme quite nicely.
Engineer – 1 handed hammer (can dual wield)
I mean, bob the builder.
Mesmer – Whip/Lasso
I mean, how sexy is that?
Necro – Scythe
AOE melee weapon. Gives new skills while in death shroud. Inflicts bleed, tormet, poison, cripple. Wow, just wow.
Elementalist – I honestly don’t know (maybe dual wield wands??)
Whats are your suggestions/fantasies guys? Would you like to see this in game as much as me? haha

Suggestion to make unique skins a chance to drop from every legendary/champion. (like Jormags breath)
Obviously this will require a ton of new skins but I believe that since GW2 is not about the stats but rarity of the item, we should have more varieties to choose from to match our armor and such.
Alright I guess they are doing something similar to what I just said but it’s called ascended. Never mind
Fort Aspenwood is the best server
As the title says, maybe add some new armor that requires a variety of rare T6 mats, account bound Mats, skill points, and dungeon tokens.
For example, if GW2 released obsidian armor and UW/FOW, players need to get dungeon tokens by completing dungeon, spend karma to get obby shards, spend gold to buy ectos/T6 mats, and farm champions/do specific quests for the account bound mats.
This way you need both money and time to get something rare, and can’t just buy it through the trading post.
Obviously UW/FOW might not ever be released, maybe add elite armor to dungeons existing already (would require more tokens, etc), or maybe even fractal armor (something else to use pristine relics on)—-

I thought the purpose of getting ascended items was to get agony resistance for fotm…
I get your point thought that even the quivers need vials of mist (I got mine at first time on fractal lvl 2). Hopefully they release some exotic backpieces that are visible though.
For each class, a unique weapon.
for example:
Warrior: Greataxe
Guardian: Halberd
Thief: Shruiken
Ranger: Javelin/Spear (for using on land)
Engineer: Crossbow
Mesmer: Chakram
Necro: Flail
Elementalist: Dual Wield Scepter
It won’t happen, but I can always dream.
