While underwater, Steal appears to be using the same list of stolen items for all enemies.
I noticed that I can Steal the skill Eat Egg from the Champion Mark V Golem in Malchor’s Leap. This is weird, because I’m like 90% sure that golems don’t reproduce through laying eggs. (I’m willing to be corrected on this :P) Further testing shows that I can also Steal eggs from all the Inquest monsters by the Upsilon Test Facility on the east side of the map.
I went to the Font of Rhand in Diessa Plateau, and I can Steal eggs from various Flame Legion mobs that are underwater there.
I went to the Plains of Ashford near Irondock Shipyard Waypoint, and I can Steal eggs from the various bandit/separatist mobs that spawn during the Kill the Separatists before they destroy the Iron Barracuda event. I was also able to Steal Throw Scale off one, which is also weird.
It’s starting to look like it isn’t a bug with just a few monsters, but it’s a bug with the Steal skill itself.
I’m in favour, but only because it provides an incentive for the team behind new Legendaries to create new silly weapons. I’ve been waiting years for an electric guitar that I can use as a hammer*, and this is a tiny step towards that goal!
*Yes, I know that it should be an axe, but axes in this game are too small
Okay, uh, I just had the problem again. I think.
1) I click on the shortcut to start the game. Nothing happens.
2) I assume that I didn’t click on it right or fast enough or something (I have an old mouse, so this happens a lot), so I click on it again. I get the "already running” message.
2a) Task Manager → End Task on all the gw2-64.exe apps.
3) Click on the shortcut again. Nothing happens.
4) I assume that I didn’t click on it right or fast enough or something, so I click on it again. I get the "already running” message.
4a) Task Manager → End Task on all the gw2-64.exe apps.
5) Click on the shortcut again. Client starts properly.

Just tried that – it took about 10 mins for the repair thing to finish, so hopefully it repaired something. Thanks! I’ll post again if I get any more problems.
Uh. Hi. Sorta new to bug reports.
Four times since the last client update, the game hasn’t shut down properly. I close the game, go off to do something else, return and start up the game again, and I get an “already running” message. I can’t see anything, but if I start the Task Manager then it shows Gw2-64.exe still running in the background. The only way I can play is to “End Task” on the running version and restart it.
That’s… actually really good advice, Sarrs. Thanks! I disagree with you on this, though:
Dailies are supposed to get you out of your comfort zone to at least a small extent. Go do things you wouldn’t normally do.
I think that there’s a difference between “I don’t usually do <world boss|jumping puzzle|mini-dungeon>, but the game wants me to go out of my way to do it” and my case, which is “I do not have reasonable access to this adventure”.
The problem is, it’s still “do three of these per day,” and it’s still “out of only four options.” And now it’s far more likely that some of those options will end up being very inconvenient.
I’m actually having… like, a parallel problem. I’m a relatively new and casual player (only a couple of months), and I got most of central Tyria explored, but I’ve barely touched the HoT areas. I was able to get all the previous dailies done, but the new HoT dailies are largely in places that I haven’t set foot in. “Daily Adventure: The Ley-Line Run”? I haven’t even fully explored Verdant Brink, so I don’t know how to get to Tangled Depths, let alone how to get to that adventure X.x
Would it be possible to make HoT dailies like a 5th option? Have 4 dailies from central Tyria like before, and then add a 5th HoT daily?

- Energy Crystal: Energy Crystals found in Metrica Province can now be traded.
Cool, but I had one in my inventory from before the update, and mine is still account bound. Is anyone else having this problem?
I looked at the ones on the Trading Post and they have the same item ID, so my problem is probably caused by me obtaining it before the update. And no, my crystal’s not in one of those special inventory bags that hides it from vendors/the TP.
Maybe replace the bad/silly ones with cool ones. H.O.P.E. is a good example.
I want the opposite. I want more silly ones. Like an electric guitar as a legendary hammer.
Yep, I’ve made the Giver’s recipes.
I had a friend check, and he had the same issue – one undiscovered recipe left that requires 350 rating. So yay, at least it’s not just me!

Maybe? Sorry, but I don’t have the gold to test it (working up to rating 500 costs a lot ;_;).
Offhand, it doesn’t look like it – it’s a silk insignia, and it goes with wool pieces? That doesn’t seem right :/
Um, hi. I’m new, so I think I’m missing something.
I’m a rating 386 leatherworker. I got all 22 recipes unlocked that are listed on the Thin Boot Sole page. However, Thin Boot Soles still show up on the discovery screen. When I try to discover something, it says that there’s one recipe left. It combines with a Thin Boot Upper, but I’m not sure what else. Something not in my inventory, apparently. All I know is that it requires rating 350 to make. So I’m wondering what that last recipe is?
I get the same thing with all the other Initiate materials. I got all 22 shoulder pieces, but it still says that there’s one discovery left for Thin Shoulderguard Panel + Thin Shoulderguard Padding that requires rating 350. Again, I can’t find anything. Ditto for all the other pieces of the four armour pieces.
It doesn’t combine with the Ineffable Cotton Insignia, which is what I thought it would be when I first found out about this when I was training my way through initiate leatherworking.
I checked the /recipes and /recipes/search API things, and they’re not saying anything new. They just list the 22 recipes that are already on the wiki.
So, what’s going on? Is this a bug?
Love her! You implemented her very tastefully. Thanks, ANet!
